Paul developed a keen sense of imagination whilst reading dark fiction and watching cult horror movies throughout his teenage years.

Heavily influenced by the likes of US Horror writer, Robert McCammon, and movie director, John Carpenter, Paul likes to take a seemingly normal character and put them into an extraordinary situation.

Paul is also a fully qualified boxing coach, and currently helps out at his local boxing club as an assistant coach.

TRUE LOVE OF MINE is Paul's next book, a horror/thriller, due for release SOON.

Paul also designs horror book covers @

The story is set in Northern Russia; Vikings have invaded and enslaved its natives. A small band of warriors intends to reclaim the lands and kill the Viking leader who is shrouded in mystery and said to be immortal. The war band, led by the Chieftain seeks council from two outsiders, Anna and Jonus. Can the Chieftain trust the two mysterious warriors or do they have their own hidden agendas?

Anna, along with two other warriors, one being the Chieftains son, Nikita must infiltrate the impenetrable keep, helping set into motion the downfall of Ragnar and relinquishing the motherland's people of slavery.

The characters, although not much is said about them in the beginning, by the end you will be rooting for their victory. Brilliantly written, the author captivates the reader's imagination through vivid descriptions of battle, gore and violence. A story that I couldn't put down, entertained me for just over an hour and left me wanting more. I would recommend this to readers who like fantasy, action and bloodshed.

Action and horror come together perfectly in Paul Cave's short novel of dark fantasy. As a malevolent Norse warlord cuts a bloody swath through Eastern Europe, a desperate group of warriors undertake a bold plan to infiltrate his fortress (the eponymous KEEP) and assassinate him before his armies overwhelm all resistance. But unknown forces are at work in both armies, and monsters lurk in the shadows, playing games of their own. THE KEEP is a brilliantly conceived novella full of engaging characters, enigmatic mysteries, and one thrill after another culminating in a breathtaking climax.
