An Emotional and Gripping Series, Now all in one Go!
I've gotten ARCs of the short stories, in this Boxset, as they released. Laney & Stephan's story was an absolute delight! They had their Problems, Troubles to solve. A love growing, nurturing. All the while The Bad guys Were trying to Bring Raven (His Gang) Down.
We've got emotional times, Downright Heart-racing & Scary times, Swoony moments and A HEA worth it all!
If you read their story in a boxset, atleast you won't have to suffer through the Cliffhangers *Chuckle*
The other characters were fun too!

A must read!!!!
Finally all in one boxed set!! I was lucky enough to get each story one by one to enjoy and voluntarily review but having them all together is a definite plus. Finding love is never easy especially after being hurt. You are drawn in from the very beginning and are rooting for Laney and Stephan throughout all the issues they have! This is a must read and a must have!

All 6 parts of a serial story that reads as more of a rough draft and not the final version
I really wanted to like this story, but it is full of grammatical errors from the beginning to the end. Besides spelling, incorrect words (I.e. feral gown vs feral grown, what vs why) there is also extra words inserted. Then there is the heroine’s boyfriend that she caught cheating who is named Drew in the first part and then suddenly morphs to Alex. Then her now former BFF’s name changes from Andrea to Andra. I would consider this a spell issue, but it was spelled both ways multiple times.
There are also gaping holes in the plot, storyline and characters. I can understand the author wanting to maintain some secrecy concerning the “gang” ran by the Ravens, but nothing is ever really explained even when the hero is supposedly explaining things to the heroine.
Then there are no explanations as to how anyone but the Raven got involved into the “gang”. Nothing about the members of the gang causing problems in there area, which is a big hole considering who they are and the relationships with the hero and heroine.
As to character issues, there are numerous ones, such as with the Raven. He is supposed to be the leader and is portrayed as being fairly strong in the first part, but after that he is weak, uncertain, apologetic all the time (no man would be that way, especially if he is supposed to be a strong alpha male bada$$) and seemingly bumbles along bringing a knife to defend himself and his gang.
I won’t even get started on the heroine’s character flaws or the timeframe which seems to be in the 2-3 week range until the end.

I read the box as an ARC. I'm sorry to say I'm not overwhelmed by this story. The writer is certainly trying to put feelings and emotions into it, but that doesn't really work out well. I can't see a connection between Stephen and Laney, besides them using each others names a lot when talking to each other. It's more of a 'and then ... and then ... and then it is now' kind of writing and it took real effort for me to finish the story. It looks like there are 6 books, but to me it's more 1 book with 6 big chapters.

Vanessa James MC Inked series six book box set is an action pack, page turner with lots of twists and turns that keeps the reader's on the edge of their seat. It keep you guessing until war ends.
Be prepared to be wowed and dazzled in Mrs. James latest series with alphas who will do anything for their women, to gain power and females who are ride or die, allies and enemies.
Book 1: Rebound Laney the heroine caught her then boyfriend Alex and her best friend Audrey cheating in bed. They had been hooking up for three months behind her back. Laney was so distraught about the incident she decided to go a bar to get drunk to numb the pain of the betrayal.
Unfortunately, alcohol did not do the trick so she decided to go to a tattoo parlor to get a tattoo in a seedy part of town. However, this was not an ordinary tattoo parlor it was a front for the Raven's gang.
This is where she meet tattoo artist/gang leader Stephan. He did the tattoo for Laney and she gave him her number call but never call. You see Laney is a good girl, a secretary she was reeling from what Alex and her bestie did her. Stephan is not the type of guy she normally goes for but she was attracted to him and so was Stephan to her.
Book 2: In too Deep picks up where book one left off. Laney never expected to see Stephan again until her boss call her into his office and he was sitting there in a suit. They started working close together. Laney accompanied him to a party and they had sex. Although Stephan real reason for going to the party was to work, and he did not want to get her involved in gang stuff. However, Laney did listen when he tell her to go back and enjoy the party. This is where she saw the true nature of his job when she saw the corpses on the ground. Laney likes Stephan but she's scared of his life style and her feelings for him. Stephan is also battling with is feelings for Laney and being with him could put her life at risk.
Book 3: True Feelings Both Laney and Stephan can not run from their feelings anymore. When Laney is kidnapped by a rival gang called The Tigers Stephan must rescue her. Will Stephan get to laney in time before it's too late? Will they confront their feelings head on and stay together or walk away from each other? Laney must decide if she wants to be with stephan and embrace the gang life given all the dangers or walk away. Stephan and Laney realized their true feelings for each when Laney was kidnapped they were just scared to tell the other.
Book 4: Burning Desires War is brewing between the two gangs both Stephan and Laney knows it is imminent. The Tigers gang is launching attacks daily everywhere on the Raven's territory which in turn is making them unsafe. Laney must also confront enemies from her past as well as the evil that is close by and stay alive. This time The Tigers brought the attacks to their hideout instead of one of their businesses and they must fight to get out alive. Laney confronted her ex-boyfriend Alex who is a member of the rival gang and proved that she's a ride or die for man in the explosive conclusion of book four.
Book 5: Test of Love Although Laney was scared of the war and in fear for life she was willing to stand by her man's side no matter what. Stephan and Laney figure out who was behind all the attacks and was trying to kill them. They stumble upon their plans but it was a trap because they were being watched. Will they make it out alive? What do The Tigers have plan for Stephan and Laney? They saw what they were doing to people and it was sick.
Book 6: Facing the Past This is the conclusion to the Inked series. Stephan must face is nemesis who killed his mentor in this final battle, while Laney must also face another ghost from her past that is link to the war. The Tigers plan for city was nefarious so they must not win this war. As Stephan face off with his nemesis to enact revenge for his mentor and the attacks on his people, Laney faced off with a foe on another part of town to the save the city. Will Laney be successful and save the city? Will Stephan defeat his nemesis and end the war for good? Will Stephan and Laney be able to live a normal life and get their HEA?

Rebound: Loved it! Laney caught her boyfriend cheating and goes to a bar to drink and forget about what happened. Then she decides to get a tattoo, and goes to a tattoo parlor, where she meets Stephan, who is also the leader of the gang The Ravens. This doesn’t deter Laney, she gets her tattoo and starts thinking about much more. Stephan doesn’t have time for much other than work and staying as the top gang leader, but after he meets Laney he starts thinking about about her and questioning himself. I loved Laney and Stephan, their chemistry and connection. This is a fantastic read from beginning to end.
In Too Deep: This is book two in the Inked series and it’s amazing! Laney is struggling with her feelings for Stephan and what he does for a living. Stephan wants to keep her safe, but lets her have the time she needs to figure things out. After receiving a text she thinks is from Stephan she decides to meet up with him, only to be saved by Stephan. After a night of passion, Laney wakes with Stephan gone without saying goodbye. Will this be what makes Laney walk away for good? Will he be there to protect her when she needs it most? Such a fantastic read.
True Feelings: This is the third book in the Inked series and it was fantastic! Laney wakes to find Stephan after they spent the night together and she’s confused and upset. She decides to head to work, but on her way she gets kidnapped. The kidnappers wants Stephan and they know she’s a way to finally get their hands on him once and for all. The kidnappers call Stephan from Laney’s phone demanding a ransom and he rushes off to save her. Stephan is conflicted about his feelings for Laney, and is worried that if he tells her everything about who he is and his past she may not stay with him. When he finally confesses everything and tells her how scared he is, Laney must make a choice, to stay or to go. Which will she choose?
Burning Desires: OMG such an amazing read! The attacks are happening now and they are brutal. Stephan finally admits his true feelings for Laney and knows for sure now that she’s all in. With the war coming Steph teaches Laney how to use a gun for safety precautions. With nothing happening for a while Laney goes back to work, but Steph will pick her up each night, until one night he doesn’t show. She gets some unwanted attention from her ex Alex, from the Tigers, and he wants to talk. Laney finally manages to get away from him and goes home to Steph, the place had been utterly destroyed. Where is Steph? Alex attacks her, what will happen next? An amazing read!
Test of Love: The war between the Tigers and the Ravens really picks up a whole other notch in this book. Stephan and Laney’s relationship and trust in each other deepens. This book kept me on the edge of my seat as everything unfolded. It’s action packed and filled with intrigue, betrayal, surprises, and much more. I loved everything about this book!
Facing The Past: This is the last book in the Inked Series and it was fantastic. Laney and Stephan go their separate ways in order to battle their pasts to help the gang win the war. There’s plenty of drama, fighting, and holding your breath moments, before Laney and Stephan can start to live normal lives. It’s an exciting quick read and a wonderful end to this series.

The bartender cuts her off and she has to leave she walks into a tattoo parlor to get a tattoo. Stephan is working when she comes in and he tries to talk her out of the tattoo because of his gang ties but is determined to get one. The next day she is at work when her boss calls her to his office to introduce her to a new hire she'll be working for. It happens to be Stephan and he wants her to work with him closely. What will Laney do? Will Stephan give into temptation with Laney?

Laney is stunned by what she is exposed to when she's with Stephan and she ends up pushing him away. However later that same evening when she gets a text from him to meet she goes but its not Stephan that shows up. Stephan is upset by Laney's reaction that he doesn't know what to do. Yet he knows that he still wants to be with her. Will he be able to save her from the threat she in now? Will she let herself continue to be with him knowing that will be how her life will be?

Their relationship seems to be getting serious but Stephan keeps disappearing on her. Stephan doesn't know how much he can tell Laney about himself since they are just starting to see each other. However when she's kidnapped by a rival gang he knows that he needs to open up about a few things just so she knows what she is getting into by being with him. Will this be the end for them? Can she see a way to be with him?

Laney finishes what she needs to do and heads to find Stephen but is too late and they need to get him to help fast. Will they get him the help he needs in time? This is an amazing collection that once you start reading it you won't want to put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining book. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Perfect Pick-me-up for the weekend!
This Inked MC set tells the journey of Raven/Stephan and Laney from the first meeting to a committed relationship with the trials and tribulations associated with a relationship with someone who lives such a different lifestyle.
BOOK 1 – REBOUND
This is the first book in the ”Inked MC” series. It tells the story of how Laney and Raven met, overcame, and loved. The storyline shows the push and pulls of these two characters, also the drama, sensual tension and chemistry, and the action, all start to give you a picture of the MC and where the series is going.
BOOK 2 – IN TO DEEP
In “In to Deep” you begin to see the actual struggles of a relationship and life in the MC and the dangers. The main characters start to wonder if it all worth it. What do you think?
BOOK 3 – TRUE FEELINGS
“True Feelings” continues the storyline of Laney and Raven/Stephan with Laney beginning to question Stephen’s commitment and whether it is worth what she is giving up. Stephen is also struggling with his feelings and not giving up. When Laney is kidnapped, all bets are off.
BOOK 4 – BURNING DESIRES
In “Burning Desires” more of the MC lifestyle is brought to the forefront, loyalties are tested, and violence is on the rise, and Laney will be tested.
BOOK 5 – TEST OF LOVE
“Test of Love” is a very short interesting MC tale that is hard to get into if you haven’t read the previous books in the “Inked” series. I couldn’t get behind the main characters' personalities because I had not read the previous books. “Test of Love” must be read in order to fully understand the plot.

“Facing the Past” is everything you look for in a conclusion and much more. An action-packed story with an interesting storyline that flows well. I loved Laney and Stephan and the way they handled the hate in their past. I like that it is a short story of confronting your past and growing in love.

ARC REVIEW-Inked Boxset
I loved getting to know Laney and Stephan and see how their love progressed. They had so many things to overcome and challenges that test their love and loyalty. It’s funny to think that Laney goes from being heartbroken from a broken relationship when she met Stephan for the first time as a tattoo artist. Then when they meet again Stephan reveals the truth about who he is and what he does. Laney was so innocent in a way and didn’t know how to deal with everything she learned about Stephan. Throughout the series you also see the progression that leads to war over territory. By the end of the series Laney has become and strong woman who is a true to herself, helps and shows loyalty to the MC and Stephan, and she faces the challenges that is set forth for her to get the life she wants with Stephan. Laney knew without a doubt she loved Stephan and would be by his side no matter what when she found him unconscious after everything went down with their rivals. Stephan had lain unconscious for several days and when he woke up he could see Laney had not left his side. When Stephan got out of the hospital he proposed to Laney and they got married and were finally able to have a normal life. This boxset consist of 6 stories and there is so much going on that you feel so ecstatic that you don’t have to wait for each book to come out it is all in one boxset. Can’t forget how hot and steamy sex between Laney and Stephan after all what’s a romance without steamy and hot sex 😊. They definitely have chemistry together. Highly recommended! This boxset was actually 6 short stories that should have been bundled up into one book of about 250 pages. The plot is sketchy, with several gaping holes while the main characters are certainly tenuous about the "war" the Ravens are fighting & about each other. Sure the sex is hot & frequent but even that needs questions like "are you good" & "are you OK?" & the author even throws in the much used & totally dated "cumming." [a pet hate of mine, sorry] During one hot interlude Lacey let's out a "deep cacophonous moan" which is absolutely not good; rather it is discordant or unmelodious. There are several grammatical errors & incorrect use of words scattered througout these books. There are only a handful of characters in the books & they seem superfluous. Meanwhile our silver haired hero who is avenging the murder of his mentor needs to be encouraged at every turn, of which there are many, because the hero & heroine spend so much time running through tunnels underneath the unnamed city. Eventually there is a happily-ever-after but I'm not sure that I really care.

This is an awesome boxset! The author brings strong,well developed characters in Laney and Stephan and sets them on an action packed ride with all the feels. Over the course of books 1-6 she takes them on a journey filled with danger and fear,intrigue and suspense,anxiety and twists and turns as they deal with the gang wars. The dialogue and sizzling chemistry will steam your kindle. She sets the plot in the first book and continues through to the last one and had me glued to the pages from start to finish. I loved this set and would highly recommend reading.

Ravished by a Raven
Well I've read it and now I must tell you what I thought. To me it was a little repetitive with their spoken words between Stephan and Laney about how they felt about each other and couldn't quite figure out what it meant and also what they needed to do to get the situation under control. To me at times it became mundane and slow as if it was trying to stretch out to make the story longer and thus making it boring during periods through some parts of the book. It had a good plot and story line just could have been done in one book instead of multiple series.

This boxset is for others like me who are not fans of cliff hangers. I’ve read a couple of Vanessa’s Inked MC books from this series; but I had to wait until this boxset was released to read the entire series at once. I really have no patience for waiting for the next book in a series. LOL
This fast-paced story had lots of intrigue, excitement, and the romance between Laney and Stephen to keep me engaged throughout the entire series. Very much enjoyed!

This was a set of stories I didn't enjoy. The writing was flat, impersonal, and no passion. The way Stephen was with Laney - too clinical. There was nothing building between them except words. These books were a continuation from the previous one and even reading through, I thought the passion of two people falling in love would heighten. I was disappointed. I got to the last book and felt as if a weight was lifted now that I was finished.

I was glad that I waited to get the boxset because I could enjoy the whole set at one time. I am not usually a big MC genre type person but Vanessa really grabbed my attention with this series. The story was good and kept me ready for the next book. There was plenty of drama and suspense to keep you wanting to know what happened next and the chemistry between Laney and Stephan was pretty hot. I was honored to receive an ARC copy of this boxset and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was a great series to read. There was so much action and so much intrigue throughout all the books that you wonder who did what and what was going to happen next! It is good there is a box set as each book ends on a cliffhanger and makes you anticipate what happens next so it's great that you can just dive right in and read without waiting. All in all, this was a very entertaining series!

This box set is the complete set of Vanessa James’ "Inked" MC series. This is a well written series and will grab your attention at the very start. The chemistry between Stephen and Laney will keep you reading until you reach the last page. I was given a free copy of the book by the author but have purchased it for my kindle library.

This is a dark mob romance with steamy scenes. It has a decent storyline, but has a number of inconsistencies which is a little confusing, as well as grammar errors. However, it's a decent read.

A great read... I have to say Laney has some serious lady balls ... Stephan having to lead his gang through a war and wanting to avenge his mentor Robert's death by a rival gang.. ..Kept me wanting more until the end

I liked the story line for Inked, although parts seemed a bit far fetched. The chemistry between Laney and Stephen is instantaneous and hot. There were times I was confused by trying to guess the passage of time, but the storyline was very original. Great read.

This series is an awesome read and I enjoyed reading about Stephan and Lancey's love story.
