Sean Ashcroft likes rainy days, white hot chocolates (don't knock it 'til you've tried it!) and boys kissing in books. He currently resides in Australia, all the way down at the bottom of the mainland in a sleepy little seaside town.
He writes sweet, hot books about sweet, hot boys who absolutely deserve each other.
Quite cute stories, minimal angst, smut medium-to-well-done. The only minor hang-up I had was that most of the stories are about a gay man in love with his presumed-straight friend who is then suddenly gay for them? It's on the unrealistic side, but too sweet to resist for long. Actually, I might have liked the books even more, if they were longer than the 200-230 pages. I'd have adored more details about the town, the families of the characters etc. but ehh, you can't have it all. Definitely recommended.
This is a great series as are all of Ashcroft's works. Normal every day sweet and charming gay men find happy lives without angst or even the kind of homophobia that rears its head on some other MM romance books. Many characters appear again in the other characters stories. I like that. One gets to check in on people met before. Other gay authors do this but not nearly as sweetly and skillfully as Ashcroft.
Owen and Riley were my favorite brothers out of the series. I enjoyed the set and read it within 2 days. My only constructive criticism would be about all the blushing. It would've been cool if there wasn't so much of it because not everyone blushes irl, darkly or otherwise. This was a sweet, low-angst read with a good bit of steam.
Honestly, Sean doesn't write a bad book! He is always a must read! As soon as a new book drops, I'm reading it like a chipmunk on crack! These 3 stories are heart warming. And a steal as the set is just .99!!!!
All three stories and their couples were great! Loved the bonus story! Was hoping that person would get their story told! Highly recommend these books!!
