And He will show no mercy for their souls when we deliver them to His door.
Ephraim
My club brothers and I take out the trash, ridding our community of one drain on society after another. We provide shelter and services to those who slip through the cracks of the justice system. I thought a piece of me lost when my twin died, until I received a phone call telling me I have a newborn nephew fighting for his life in the hospital and I am to be his father. My brother, even after he is gone, guides me to a renewed purpose and a future filled with more love than I ever could have anticipated. He guides me to my b'shert. When she must fight to stay alive, Golem Guerillas band together without question to deliver those who have wronged her and sought to harm my family to His door. May he show no mercy for their souls.
Priscilla
Growing up in a small Ohio town, surrounded by the dicks and the boobs, my parents' wacky group of friends, I never wanted for anything. Love, support, advice and crude humor were given freely from a never-ending supply. When I finished my nursing degree and moved to Pittsburgh to be a pediatric nurse, I knew I could provide a safe haven for children struggling for their next breath, even if I couldn't guarantee the same when they went home. Until one little baby boy captures my heart in a way I could never explain, a pull to hold him in my arms and reassure him that I will always be with him. When I meet his uncle, his guardian, I know that pull I feel is my destiny, they are mine to care for, mine to keep. I will fight with everything I have to stay with them.
*Author's Note: This is book 1 of a MC light series, each book will focus on a different couple. It has characters from a previous series, Love in the Ville, however, it is not necessary to read them beforehand, just strongly recommended. This series includes coarse language, strong sexual content, violence and/or abuse. If this isn't your cup of tea, please do not buy. If you enjoy possessive insta-love, with a side of sassy crude humor, then check out the Jewish MC brothers of Golem Guerillas.
I thoroughly enjoyed this love story! If you're searching for a good quality romance, you'll find it here. The characters were relatable and funny, and the situations were more than plausible. I believe MS. McGee has me hooked - I can't wait to dive into the next book!
I had read the WV series first, so going back to read this series and other things make a bit more sense now.
I did love how Ephraim and Priscilla met and how right from the start Ephraim was all in, better was that Priscilla didn't fight him, but just added him and the MC to the crazy that is her family. When Priscilla had trouble from work spill into her life, Ephraim and the guys were more than capable to help.
The ending to this one was great! Loved seeing the wedding and how they still were happy all the years later, even with all the kids.
If you've ever wondered what a Jewish MC would be like, here's your answer! In all it's has some off remarks that don't detract form the beauty of love, family and laughter. I didn't know what to expect when this author and her books were recommended. It's lighter hearted MC than some, but it's full of things I love. Insta-love, drama, vigilantism when needed, and of course laughter. Ms. McGee made me laugh out loud several times. Her one liners make me smile and I enjoyed seeing how Priscilla and Ephraim were united by one tiny being. I highly recommend you check out how their story begins and continues in subsequent books in the series. I have to see how the to others in the Golem Guerillas find their HEA and more about Priscilla's crazy, extended family of aunts and uncles.
Ephraim finds out that his twin brother has a newborn son after his passing six months ago. Ephraim vows to be the best Dad to him that he can. As if a blessing he finds that the Priscilla, the nurse in the NICU, is his soul mate. He knows from the beginning she is the one for him and the feelings he has for the little boy struggling moves him. As Ephraim and Priscilla begin to build their relationship, a threat comes out of nowhere having Ephraim and his MC doing what they can to keep Priscilla safe.
This was quite fun. Very different take on MC life and I enjoyed that it delves in to Jewish culture. Priscilla's family is a hoot. The story is filled with quite a bit of humor. Definitely will read more of this series.
I hear a lot of people say oh i laughed so much with this or that book. I purchase the book and even though its good I don’t fined it funny. So someone recommended this series and i said one more time let me read it and see if its funny. So I’ve been laughing all through the book. I mean laugh out loud kind of laughing. Garrett and Pricilla are very well written characters that bring the best our of each other. I’m glad I gave this book a chance and for once i really did laugh out loud.
The FMC has a weird sense of humour. There are moments in life where jokes are not needed. She didn’t get that memo.
It’s a fun story. On the light side and then BOOM, out of nowhere we’re reminded it’s and MC romance and not everyone is nice… and then boom, back to gooey love and awkward jokes.
3.5 stars. Oh my god. The total lack of seriousness in this book had me constantly crackin up. Some parts were a little much, but overall I thought it was really funny and cute.
I loved this mc book!! Its a lot diff from a lot of the ones I usually read but it's what makes a book unique I laugh most of the time in this book I highly recommend reading it giving it a chance I couldnt put it down once I started reading
I understand that it is a bit unfair of me to give the book 1 star when I DNF, but .. it is just MY opinion. This book was horrible. I think the author was trying for funny but it came off as immature and ridiculous. The names, the attitude, the things that were said before knowing each other for 10 minutes was beyond childish. Ms. Pris was supposedly 22 and acted 10. Seriously .. her nickname was Dookie McFartsalot. Should have written a children's book instead of trying for a MC. I found this so unappealing that I will not attempt to read any more by this author. Would give negative stars if it was option.
First - This is NOT an MC book. Very little is discussed or happens with the MC. Second - Some people found the book funny.... I didn't I thought it was silly but that is just me. All the references to personal body functions with aunts, uncle, boyfriends were just not for me. Third - Lots of Yiddish reference and religious reference; but not really explained how this really matters. I don't think the fact that there are Jewish really mattered in the story. Fourth - Sex was minimum and very vanilla. Virgins are in abundant in this story. This was very much an insta-love story. Fifth - The baby abandoned in the hospital by his mother was just explained away; but why would she abandon her baby? Your brother is dead but what kind guy was he? She left her baby but you were able to find her quickly and have her sign her rights away. Finally, Overall, I thought the story was fine and a very easy read. I am interested in the other characters enough to check out the next one in the series.
This is my first time reading this author and she was referred to me via another favorite author of mine, Cee Bowerman. Priscilla is an awesome and amazing NICU nurse and was not able to fall head over heels for this innocent baby boy eventually named Elead, by his uncle Garrett because his twin brother Gage passed away six months prior and no one knew about the baby. Priscilla was also concerned about another young boy named Jason that wound up in her unit from severe brain trauma and it was realized that his Detective father had been abusing him for years. Apparently drugs were involved with him, the stepmother and the doctor attending to him and the doctor killed the boy while in the hospital. The Golem Guerillas MC motorcycle club also help women and children escape from abusive relationships and then they take care of the abusers so they are not of this world any longer. Funny at times and heartbreaking when Priss was beaten and stabbed and left for dead, but a strong will to live. Happy reading.
This book was outstanding it was funny from the get and the Insta love was so Amazing regardless of it being Insta it did not feel that way at all
I will say that there’s so many mention of previous characters from a different series that I feel those books will definitely have to be read before this series so I will have to go back and check it out but I highly recommend
The only thing I will say is that the way the guys from the MC spoke was very proper and very old school it thru me off a little but everything was just way too funny to miss
Started the book and immediately liked the quirky main characters and dialogue. Felt a little distant near the beginning but warmed up by mid book. Book is insta like and almost immediate love so if that's not your thing, you might not be into this. Luckily I do....
I know nothing about Hebrew or Jewish, and enjoyed that the series gives little peaks and teaches words about this. Also enjoyed how they let all of life's normals, like morning breath and flatulence, be treated as normal behavior - mostly in that if you can't take me in my not shining moments, you don't get my lifetime of something special.
I enjoyed this story. It’s a little different from the usual MC stories I read. All having the same religion while still being focused on helping out those the system refused to help. There is good character development for such a short book (I usually read much longer books). I enjoyed the family feel of the MC and her family. Warning, there is a violent scene which could be a trigger for some but it is short and being prepared, you can skim over it if you need too. It is a good read. HEA, no cheating. No cliffhanger.
This was unexpected on my part. I love MC reads and seen this in a group I belong to. Never have a read a Jewish based MC book or Jewish book at all for that matter. I really enjoyed it. Really loved the storyline, the sex scenes, drama with some real angsty parts and the laugh out loud moments. Liked how the MC took care of their own. Seriously enjoyed this book. Now onto the next one in the series...I'm sticking with it for now that's sure. Do I recommend this book? Why yes I do. thanks jamie nibarger ellis
It’s my first time reading this author and a Jewish MC. The two main characters are a riot. It’s just funny with banter and quick humor. There are bad guys, violence, and serious issues mixed in so do note that if you have triggers. The MC brothers help people in need when the law can’t quite cover the crime. Also it was sweet how respectful Garrett was to Priscilla. He claimed her right away and proceeded to woo Priscilla. Read On!
Ephraim has just received word that he has a newborn nephew. His visit to the NICU leaves him in love, not with just his nephew, but also the nurse on duty, Priscilla. There starts this great adventure!
This story was romantic, hot, funny and sad. Ms. McGee is a new author for me and I found her writing style so refreshing and very entertaining!
I don't know where to start with this book. I know in the description it says "MC light" but to me, this doesn't feel like a MC book at all. The only connection would be that they ride motorcycles. Also, I wasn't a fan of the dialogue. I know it was supposed to be funny but it wasn't. I would have loved to have more background on and interaction with her family, we were told how large it was but that was it. I also thought the nickname for them was ridiculous.
I liked it, honestly it was completely different then the typical MC read. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s bad or good but wasn’t what I was expecting. I think my only criticism would be the constant time jumps & it was hard to decipher who was speaking in each chapter. The thing with the time jumps was confusing because they met, Priss got her period then in the next chapter they were touchy touchy up in his room at the Compound & he was going down on her.
My only problems with this book is: 1. I need a reference list to keep count of who's who and 2. lots of spelling and grammatical errors.
Garret and Priscilla. Brought to gather by Elean due to his mother abandoning him at the hospital and his late father, Garret's brother, who has passed.
Garrett is a member of a Jewish MC and Priss works in Pediatrics in the hospital where Priss works and Elean, Garrett's nepher, is still in the ICU!
I actually liked this book. Made me laugh and smile.
A different kind of MC club. Loved Priscilla! She's such a fun and goofy character. Garrett is a strong and good natured character. The club isn't like what you read about. Priscilla is a female character that would be a hoot to meet in real life.
I'm giving this 3 stars because the storyline wad good but the characters just horrible. The immature behavior was over the top and add in crude bodily functions. The female character could have been like able based on her profession but just everything else not so much. I couldn't wait to get done so I could give an honest review.
I stumbled upon this book by accident and I am glad I did the charters where great and I liked the twist of a Jewish Mc the only issuing I had was finding a character with my name (naphtali) was a bit like 👀but enjoyed the story any way a great little read and I look forward to the rest of the series
On a good note, this book was not what I expected. This is the first time reading anything from this author, and I have to say I enjoyed it. The banter was hilarious. The chemistry was off the charts. All in all, I couldn't put it down and ready to read the next book.
This book was ok and at times made me chuckle at the silliness. There really wasn't much to do with the MC, a little too much info on bodily functions, words I cannot stand to read in a book like breeding and new words I hope to never hear again. It was a good concept for a book series but I don't know that I will continue this one
Its a really fun read. Very sweet, romantic, and hilarious! I actually read this series several years ago. I have had a difficult time lately finding books to fully engage my interest. I Denver liking this series so thought I'd re-read it. So so funny really lifted my spirits. On to book #2....
Oh wow I enjoyed this book so much! You have got to love Priscilla's family. I haven't laughed that hard through a book in a while. I know there are serious issues addressed but damn I love this MC. No holds barred they take care of what needs done. Priscilla and Garrett's love for each other is sweet and funny.
I’m not sure where to start. This book was odd, it had religious aspects, but was also a bit steamy, it tried to be a comedy, I think but I didn’t find it that funny. I just don’t know. There were some good one liners that made me chuckle but overall this just wasn’t the book for me.
