Trained in an abbey, she is finally out, married to a vampire, and looking for a fight within a day. Whatever will she do on day two? To protect herself and those around her, Ebra has spent the last twelve years at an abbey, training to be a good wife and mother…and assassin, commander, warrior, spy, and interior decorator. It was a full education that helped her manage the syndrome that made her so deadly. Assigned to the man her parents decided to give her to, she trusts her family not to do anything stupid. The offer to cure her is a surprise as there is only one cure. Death. The treatment that is offered is a cloned body without her flawed DNA and transfer of most of her consciousness before they destroy the original body. She would like a second opinion. A convenient attack on the space vessel she is on gives her the chance to escape her fate with minimal bloodshed. Getting caught by the man she proposed to is a bit of a surprise, but she is nothing if not adaptable. Changing from one suitor to the next is easy enough, but is the vampire going to be happy with the lady in his embrace, or will he have second thoughts?
Seems like an abridged version of 2 books. Chapters 1-7 are one story that should have a prologue about Ebra's training at the abbey. The rest of the book is a different story: it should possibly be from the point of view of Weller and start with her being informed about the kidnapped girls.
Ebra's eclectic mixed heritage resulted in a genetic condition giving her enhanced senses and homicidal urged when enraged. Make her an outstanding assassin, warrior, and spy with command abilities. Her parents sent her to the Abby for training, an all girls Academy. After 12years Ebra is leaving the Abby to marry a prince. She doesn't go alone she has her bodyguard besty Weller going with her. Her Prince wants to make some major changes to Ebra's person. Ebra and Weller aren't going to go along quietly. The ladies are rescued by a vampire Prince and his Sandman cousin, and second in command. Ebra is no stranger to Prince Tonos, when she was 6, she asked the them 17 year old Prince to marry him. Tom is has come to claim his bride.
A fun, fast paced, full of snark, steamy SiFi romance. Loved Ebra and Tonos, and Weller and her Sandman . I nominate Ebra and Weller as the next Disney Princess. They could be the next Elsa and Anna.
Book was hard to follow. Reading felt slightly disjointed😫. I tried to catch the🎶💃rhythm of Viola's Writing, 😵but just😬 couldn't. One second the main couple was talking or having sex, and the next second someone was interrupting them and you didn't know who was talking 🤔 or when they stopped their💞 action with one another🥺 and focused on the interruption before them😳or what. It was Irritating🧐 to say the least. Many of her 🤩fans gave this book four or five stars✨, I just couldn't👎. I'll read another one after this one😏but if it is horrible like this one.... I'll have to pass on Miss Viola Grace 🤫.
Viola Grace is my favourite writer. I'm trying to get all her books, she's that good. Humor, adventure, love, her books have it all. Fighting Syndrome was a completely enjoyable book. I ended up not being able to put it down. I'm not going to get into any details. Just know you can't go wrong with Fighting Syndrome or any other book by Viola Grace. Happy reading!
Every time I think I have figured out some of Viola Grace 's imagination, she comes up with another intriguing concept that is purely fantasy. Good fun reading!
