They settled on the couch. Dave put his arm around Joan, and she snuggled close to him. As the opening credits began, she looked up at him. I can’t take this any longer. He leaned down and kissed her, gently at first. She broke the kiss, and moved to straddle him. As they continued kissing, Dave wrapped his arms around her body, caressing her back. He reached under the shirt, and squeezed her ass. Their kisses became more passionate. He stood up, holding her close. He laid her down on the couch, the movie still playing in the background...

Independence
Dave is no longer a doormat for Valerie. She didn't respect him or treat him like she cared. This short story was fast moving with distinct characters with interesting personalities. The writing is engaging, entertaining and just amazingly realistic. The cliffhanger ending is why this book gets 4 stars.

Insta love with strange complications
The characters are poorly developed so they seem very shallow and you don't feel as if you are able to understand their motivations for the things they do. Not being able to connect and relate to the characters is problematic for me to be invested in the outcome and what happens as it was in this book.

Hopeless Romantic
The story line was good. I didn't realize it wasn't a stand a loan book. Don't normally read books that are not. Like the Characters will read the next book in the series.

Oh no a cliffhanger
I was totally not expecting the ending. The story was satisfying until that point except I don’t feel like we really got to know Joan. She is still very much a mystery

A short and sweet story that does end on a cliffhanger, wasn’t expecting that.I liked the characters and the storyline, would be interesting to find out what the next book brings. Tvm Hope. I received this arc in exchange for an honest review.

I chose this rating because it really was a good read but I really hated that Alex lost his memory and didn't get it back until he saw his brother's date. You have to get the book to see how it all works out .

This is a great short story. If you look for a quick read that has great characters and a great storyline this is your book. The writing flows great. Dave and Joan story is great. You won’t regretting reading it.
