Overall a good and informative read. I feel like this could be geared towards newer believers as it kind of gives an overview of a bunch of different characters in the Bible. Although, I do think anyone could glean something from it. A great reminder that God chooses unlikely lives to further his kingdom even though no one he uses is perfect.

Would recommend, would not reread

A must read

This book encouraged me to rest on my faith in Jesus, even when the going gets tough. Explaining Hebrews 11 really helps understanding what faith is and it can be applied.

A short study through the "Hall of Faith" in Hebrews 11, Evans does a good job of covering a common subject in a interesting and useful way.

Not sure why but this reminds me most of John Maxwell's even shorter book "Running with Giants." If you enjoyed that title than this book will be very good for you. If you are choosing between the two pick this one, it is more thorough and more interesting.

Evans does a fantastic job or walking though well known Bible characters in a complete way without being overly redundant for even long time Bible readers.

The main point of the book is Faith and the many ways faith must be put to action to be useful.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in Old Testament faith in a New testament world.
