Contemporary love story containing an old school vibe.

Anaira and Neel, having contrasting personalities and belonging to different worlds, connect online over their love for photography. But their first date was a disaster! Yet, two quirky individuals attempt to meet again, because of their truthful connection which enables them to confide into each other.

Chitrangada Mukherjee's books are warm, sweet, and lovable. Her lucid writing style and compelling storytelling ability immediately invites the readers into the imaginary world where the lovers are raw, deep, and authentic. I can always rely on her books for light reading and blissful escape.

Although, my expectations might have been increased due to her earlier books, and this one unlike others didn't take me on a spin.

Nevertheless, Besotted is engaging and a very short read which will definitely give you a delightful break and distraction from reality.

My Take:

A simple story with complications and layers to the characters . Very crisp narration, strong characters and clashing personalities. Contrasting lifestyle and confusing traits they both are as different as possible.

Sharing a common like for photography they meet each other on social media and decide to meet. But when they meet, what happens? Do they gel? With the baggage of emotions, relationships, expectations they carry, Will they find solace in each other or will they be a cause of trouble for each other? Read the book to find out.

Well developed story and super simple narration to the point without any complicating unwanted characters. Their encounters are written interestingly.
