This is a wonderful paranormal romance & a splendid start to a new series. I found the plot to be well-written with quite good world building, it is also very interesting with a somewhat dark undertone & it has some very intense situations that are well-described. The characters are well-developed & have complex personalities that are realistically flawed. There is good support from the secondary characters.
It is about: a male jaguar shape shifter (Nikola Engstrom) possessed by a inner demon that is quite vengeful but a problem occurs when the demon notices a female wolf shifter (Lucy Claypotts) & pushes Nikola towards her & he discovers that Lucy is his surrogate, then more problems appear when a despicable female dragon shifter (Verna) starts to make more demands from Lucy.
There is: various kinds of shifters, slavery, family issues, law enforcement, fated mates, action, adventure, intrigue, drama, suspense, twist & turns, deceit, threats, danger, blackmail, desperation, accusations, manipulations, control issues, confrontations, violence, conflict, some steam, contentment, love & a satisfying conclusion.

Shifter Lucy has had some pretty bad things happen in her life, but when she signs up to be a surrogate mother while also accepting a job in the city, well will her life get better or worse?
The storyline flowed good for the most part, with so much going on with our heroine and hero with their villains it sadly left little time for extra one on one stiff. I loved that the other books are tied together with the same connection. It makes it more realistic. I mean of shifters were a real thing. ( Although who knows lol )
It says it's a dark romance. I felt it wasn't truly dark, but I guess for some It might be.
I enjoyed it, and I'm excited to read all of the books in this series. Will they all know who they are surrogating for? Ehhh can't wait to figure it out.

Her baby’s daddy
This was a wonderful read! I enjoyed the fast pace and the intensity the author brought with the multiple layers of intrigue and danger. The characters are fantastic! I loved watching these two as they found their way to their HEA. There were a few times when I thought more time had passed then apparently did, but other than I wished we would have gotten to meet the baby before the end to make sure this really was a HEA, it did not make the story any less enjoyable. The rest of the PSA ladies sound like interesting characters and I can’t wait to read the next book to see what happens on their own way to happiness.

Her Jaguar to Tame is the first one of this series and the only one without multiples and this series are all standalone so you will be okay if you read out of order. Jasmine Wylder is one of my go-to PNR authors. She knows how to bring characters to the forefront and give you a good story in a short time. If that is what you are looking for, look no further.

First book in a new series for me. And a new author.
Nikola is a Jaguar shifter, but he also has a demon living inside him, and when his demon gets the upper hand, horrible things happen. And he knows that eventually his demon will over take his mind and body, and there won’t be anything he’ll be able to do about it!
Lucy is a Wolf shifter she has a large extended family which she loves, they might not be her natural family, but she loves them just the same.
And so, being in debt to a dragon shifter is not a good thing! Her pack belonged to a previous dragon until they killed him! But his sister now owns the contract! Slavery forever, unless Lucy can earn enough money to buy their freedom!
Surrogacy is a viable answer, she can carry a baby and still work, so that’s twice the money coming in.
Everything is going great, she’s happy being pregnant for money, well that is until the parents pull out!! She’s now stuck with an unborn child! She’s going to keep it, but she just had to keep the child a secret from the female dragon!
Both Nikola and Lucy feel a pull towards one another, but Lucy is wary of getting involved, something just doesn’t feel right with her new boss!
And Nikola doesn’t want her getting too close as the demon wants her for a nefarious purpose!
She doesn’t know that it’s Nikola is the father! And he has a feeling the demon had something to do with it!
It’s a little different from what I usually read, but was pretty good.
Demon possessed shifters was a different scenario, as was Nikola’s business (making and selling sex dolls) 😂
And the servitude that Lucy has a chance of buying out of is something different.
The fighting between the Jaguar and demon was different too, they had actual contact rather than just thoughts.
So when Lucy finds out who the baby daddy is she worried? Not really! Her Wolf thinks they should be together.
But Nikola won’t commit, he tells Lucy to take the baby and run!!
So how can these two be together? Especially if the demon wants Lucy as a sacrifice, how will Nikola survive the guilt? And can Lucy ever pay off the debt owed to the dragon?
It’s part of a series, but it finishes here, there is no cliffhanger.

For the most part, I enjoyed this book. It helped that I read a previous book based in this world, so some of the quickly mentioned background information already felt somewhat familiar to me. If I hadn't, I would probably want more information. But, other than it can be read without reading her other books. So, with that out of the way, let's start with the negatives. First, I am probably the only person that gets bothered by this, but I don't like when the cover of a book doesn't match the physical descriptions of characters inside of the book. Lucy was not described to look anything like the book cover. Second, there were a few grammar/ editing issues. Not enough to distract from the book, but it is a pet peeve of mine. Third, there was something missing to really draw me into the story. I wasn't completely invested in the characters, the storyline, or the intimate scenes.
Now onto the positive. First, although I feel like the story and characters need more depth, overall, I did like them. Their actions and reactions were predictable and I didn't feel like anything came out of left field. Second, the story was unique. I haven't read anything similar and I always enjoy a new take on shifters since I read so many shifter/vampire books. Third, the story did flow well. There were a few times I set the book down, but always went back to it relatively soon.
So, overall, I did enjoy the book and will be moving on to the second book in this series.

Great "insta" romance. Nikola Engstrom has a unique problem. He not only has a jaguar inside him, he also has a demon in residence. The demon and his cat clash almost constantly and it is exhausting. When the demon figures out how to take over when he is in a weakened state, it goes off and does things like, well, killing a whole bunch of really bad men. Nikola can get glimpses into the minds of people and he knew these men molested women. His demon decided he would "help" Nikola out and kill and dismember them. When a woman comes to work for his company and his demon is pushing him towards her, while promising to make her feel pain, Nikola knows he needs to avoid her - then he finds out his demon has helped him out by applying for a surrogate. Guess who?
I won't ruin the book for you. Lucy is a strong woman who has problems of her own, namely a female dragon shifter who is forcing her to "buy" the freedom of her brothers, nieces, and nephews. Lucy is a wolf shifter and her pack means everything to her. Enjoy.

This was very powerful story and I felt so sorry for what Lucy and Nikola had endured.
Lucy and her brothers were slaves to a dragon for years and Lucy was damaged. Now after killing the dragon they think they’re safe but his sister has appeared and now they are slaves to her unless Lucy can pay her off and buy their freedom. In order to get a large chunk of money she signs up for the paranormal surrogate agency and is now pregnant. And she has a job making more money than she did before. But her new boss Nikola runs hot and cold. She’s attracted to him but something is off. When he forces a kiss on her he doesn’t seem to be himself and she rejects him. What she doesn’t know is that he is a jaguar shifter, but a demon has been controlling him all his life, and is controlling his life. The demon has put into place events to bring Nikola and Lucy together for evil purposes. Nikola has to fight his demon and Lucy has to fight the dragon shifter controlling her life. Nikola Engstrom is burdened with a jaguar and a demon and the demon seems to be taking over his body at certain times and Nikola is not aware of what has happened. When he wakes in a warehouse he has no idea what has happened but there is a young girl there crying and he has blood on him and he walks out of the room they are in and sees all the bodies. He tries to keep calm but realizes the demon has done this and he helps the young girl and takes her to the hospital.
Lucy Claypotts was a wolf looking for love but she was not really finding anyone she was truly attracted to, but she really came to town to get a better job so that she can help her brothers and their families they do not know that she made an agreement with the dragon Verna who has taken her brother's place as their tormentor and master. Lucy works for Nikola but has not met him and the demon wants Lucy but Nikola is having none of it even though it will not matter. Well this was a total mind trip to read. When I first started reading this book I was a bit confused but as I continued reading it all started to make sense. Nikola is a jaguar who has some kind of demon piggy backing his body. Well trying to take over his body. He has moments that he cannot remember anything. So what could the demon be up to. Lucy just started a new job and she is trying to get away from a really mean dragon. She is tough and has been through a lot. She managed to escape one bad situation with a dragon to end up in another. She decides that maybe she should try surrogacy to help get her out of her situation. Well when Nikola and Lucy meet and they know that there is something it just takes one a little longer to figure it out. Now the internal battle decides to come out and play. Along with other obstacles. It did get a bit scary and emotional. Can they both defeat the demons haunting them? This was a pretty good story to read with the perfect build up of the story.

Ok, so this was an extremely interesting read for a couple of different reasons.
First off, an demon possessed shifter? That's really interesting. Secondly, when I first started reading it, I was like "Um....I don't know about this book. The constant fighting between Nikola and his demon is making it super hard for me to get into and follow the story." So I stopped reading it and gave it a 3 star review (that I've since deleted). Then I was like, "Well, let's try the second book (check out the review on that one for my thoughts on that)." So, I started reading the second book. Then, after I get a ways into Book 2, there seems to be an overlap between this book and the next one. So, I was like "Oh, ok. Let me go back and see if I'm right about this overlap. (Spoiler: I was!)" Then, I start reading this book where I left off and WOW!!!!! WHAT A GREAT STORY!!!!! I am so glad that the overlap made me go back and finish this story. Even though it started out kind of hard, the later part of the story was AH-MAZING!!!!!! Definitely a 5 star read!!!!!

This was my first book read by this author and it was a good read. I did find myself confused a bit but in the end it was a good book. I look forward to reading the second book in this series.
Nikola is fighting with both the jaguar and demon within him. His demon will often take over him without Nikola expecting it or remembering what happened after. His demon can slip into others minds and read them, knowing what bad they did or how evil that person truly is. This trait was not a beneft or a bonus to Nikola. Nikola feels discust and hatred towards his demon.
Lucy has been through some really tough times but she is a fighter and will not give up. She is being blackmailed and she will do all she can to gain her families freedom .. she will do anything for her family. Lucy can feel a connection to Nikola, she knows they are ment to be together fated mates, and she will do all she can to help Nikola fight off his demons..

I fought back and fourth about how many stars to rate this book. It is really a 3.5 start book. I have never read anything by this author but I definitely will read more of her work in the future. The only real part that I had an issue with was to much back and fourth fighting between is jaguar and the demon. It made it to hard to relax and truly get into the book at the start. You really need to stick with it for the second half. The book takes a great turn to the enjoyable side. I got to get into the feel and of the story and the characters. I loved how the male character was willing to sacrifice himself to make sure his love (baby mom ma ) would survive. I also loved how she refused to give up on him. Please read and get a good feel for this author. I quite sure you will enjoy her works.

This is the 1st book I have read from this author and I have to say I am excited about reading more of her work. The characters we are introduced to in this story are interesting. It’s not often you hear of a jaguar (Nikolai) who is also possessed by a demon who can read other people’s thoughts. Lucy is a wolf shifter who has had a very hard life. She was mentally, verbally and physically abused by her previous dragon owner and is being manipulated by her new owner. Lucy is strong and will do anything she can to protect her family.
This story had me drawn in from the beginning. I stayed up later than I should have to finish it, but it was definitely worth it to get to the end. Great story, great characters, chemistry and loyalty can be found in this story. I can’t wait to read the next book to see what happens with some of the other characters we were introduced to.

Lucy signs up to be surrogate for a paranormal surrogate agency to try and buy her family's freedom from a dragon. She moved for a new job and started the surrogacy the same time. Nikola is a jaguar shifter and he has a demon inside him. He can barely control the demon and when he comes to from it taking him over he finds the bodies of the men that he knew were evil men but he still feels bad for the loss of control. When he finds out that the demon signed him up for a child and that Lucy is his surrogate Nikola is stunned. He tries to stay away and break contact but thing happen that have him stepping in to help Lucy. Will they be able to be together? Or will he continue to push her and the baby away?

Lucy is a wolf shifter. Lucy was a slave to a dragon but she ended up killing him. The contract ended up going to his sister Verna. Well Verna told Lucy that she had to pay off every family member to be free of the contract. To make money and a lot of it Lucy decided to sign up to be a surrogate. Lucy went to the Paranormal Surrogate Agency aka PSA. She was matched with Nikola her new boss but doesn't know it. Nikola has a demon inside him. The demon takes over his body and signed him up for the PSA and now he's going to be a father. When he finds out that it's Lucy that is carrying his child he tries everything to stay away from her. The demon wants him to do terrible things to Lucy and other people. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. I enjoyed this book. The story of Nikola and Lucy is full of danger and love . He is a jaguar shifter and is also possessed by a demon. She is a wolf shifter trying to save her family from a lifetime of slavery to a dragon. She ends up signing up to be a surrogate to help pay off the debt that will free her family. She takes a job with Nikola's company and that's when the trouble truly begins. His demon is threatening to hurt Lucy and eventually both will find out that she carries his child. He tries to do everything he can to keep Lucy safe, including helping her with her problem with the dragon blackmailing her. It will be a bumpy ride, but the two will come out of this victorious and will be able to get their happy ending, one Nikola never dreamed he would be able to have.

I had been waiting for Lucy to get her own story and this did not let me down.
She is just as strong here as in the past stories, still fighting for her family first.
But this time she finds someone of her own to fight for that is more than just family and they are there for her to help her fight back just as hard.
But even with all that fighting her inner strength shines through never ending, giving others what it takes to help them push through their own pain.
In past stories Lucy showed up as a special person that stood strong for all and in this she does it again, but this time she gets her own chance to have her own HEA

This was a very first for me. I have never read a shifter story that the werewolf was half demon that was a bad demon and the wolf was rather decent and sweet. I loved how the two halves ended up fighting all the time and Nikola was there on his wolves side. Lucy has to get her family safe and keeping the secret from her family is hard. She needs cash and lots of it. Lucy starts to work for Nikola for ever more money for her family. These two are very drawn to each other but both have secrets that they don't or can't revile to others. Do these two find out the others secret and share in the hiding of these or do they just keep away and not get a HEA?

4 1/2 star - This story about Nikola Engstrom, jaguar shifter, who is possessed by a demon that Nikola and his jaguar are fighting over his body and Lucy Claypotts, wolf shifter. Lucy left her home and got a job working under Nikola which she finds attractive but she needs money to free her family from a slave contract they have with Verna, dragon shifter, so she signed to be a surrogate for the Paranormal Surrogate Agency. The Agency matches her up to Nikola and she gets pregnant. Nikola finds he is struggling with his demon wanting Lucy. When he finds out Lucy is his surrogate what will he do? This is a instant love paranormal in a enjoyable story I volunteer to read and review via the writer.

The concept of the story was super interesting and I really like the idea of a shifter using a surrogate. What I didn't like was all the back and forth and inner arguing between Nikola and the demon. I understand that it needed to be there for the purpose of the story, but I think it was a little overdone, and I got confused quite a few times.
The last half of the book way much better then the first half and really helped me to finish. I loved learning more about the history of the demon within Nikola's family, and I did not see that coming. I set this down quite a few times and had a bit of a hard time finishing it.

I found myself caring about Lucy right away, and Nikola. She with the dragon-shifter blackmailing her and keeping her and her brothers in slavery, he with the demon inside him with whom he'd been born. The story was a fast read, and flowed nicely. The first time they had sex wasn't too soon, not forced, and I liked that. When they finally did get together, it made sense - and was hotter for the delay. This is the first book I've read in this world, and I'm glad I got the other books of this series.

Lucy thought she was done with dragons...wrong. Seems slaves can still be inherited. Moving to the city in order to pay off this new master seemed like a great idea...maybe. Being pregnant as a surrogate and having the parent pull out of the deal...well that just sucks. So many things going on in her life, but Lucy still has time to lust after the owner of the business she's working for. Wonder how that will work out?

There is a lot of back and forth angsty internals in this story. I enjoyed the tale even with the drawn out telling. The length makes it a bit jumpy sometimes as if the author is jumping back into a story arc that had been forgotten or left for too long. If you like paranormal and shifter stories with an interesting story, this one is for you. I'd get it for those times you just want a simple read, mostly clean in the sex department, to pass the time. I had no trouble putting it down so it was not an engrossing page turner. But it is a good read.

Well it was... Interesting. The book had a theme that I liked, especially Nikola's problem but I felt that I never became so shocking and that's why it started to give problems in the plot. The book is a little slow at first and goes to its "spicy" point already halfway, to be a shifter book I felt that they were somewhat detached between them. I liked a certain Wylder narrative, I feel it's really interesting and I'd like to see more works from her.

Nikola is a successful guy, his business is going well, but he has some dark secrets to hide. Lucy has struggled to try and win some freedom for her family, but she needs more money, in attempt to earn more money she signed up to be a surrogate for the Paranormal Surrogate Agency. Recently Lucy has started at Nikola's company, and Nikola is drawn to her. Can Lucy and Nikola find happiness? Or will the darkness in Nikola win? I loved this interesting, supernatural romance, both Nikola and Lucy had challenges that life had given them, but both of them are fighters and stronger than they know.

This book 1 in the Paranormal Surrogate Agency Book Series by one of my new favorite authors, Jasmine Wylder was an very well-written with interesting characters. This book, A Dark Paranormal Romance was intriguing as it has very well-thought out scenes and story. These characters have very strong personalities and their interactions are believable.This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists, turns, adventure, action, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It is a fast-paced book that will keep you engaged from start to finish

Lucy moved to the city to earn more money to pay off a family debt owed to an unscrupulous dragon whose brother once owned and badly mistreated Lucy. She joins up with the surrogacy program to help pay off the debt. Nikola is a jaguar shifter with a demon inside him. He’s fought the demon’s influence for years but occasionally it takes over, as it did when it signed him up for a surrogate. Lucy and Nikola belong together but Nikola is afraid of what the demon wants to do. They’ll have to work together and learn to trust one another and their animals to make it through.
