What if Red never wanted her brother Hunter to stop the Wolf?
Red Evans didn’t ask to be abandoned by her parents. She didn’t ask to be raised by her sick grandmother and fiercely protective older brother, and she didn’t ask to have her heart crushed by his best friend, the self-proclaimed Wolf of Oakridge, Shaw Bennett
Ten years later, her life is a mess and her only option is to move in with Hunter and Shaw. Being back in his presence tears at old wounds and threatens to rip them open. Worse yet, he's still a sexy as sin playboy and totally forbidden.
But when he takes her out in the woods, and his body whispers to hers, it makes Red wonder if there is any chance this Wolf’s heart could be hers, because hers has always belonged to him.

4,4 stars Red fell in love with Wolf since she was a little girl, but Wolf is his older brother's friend so she's off limits. Her life is a mess, so after some years, she have to ask Hunter's help. And their problems start. Hunter have a roommate and business partner: Wolf So the three of them have to live together. Wolf tries to resist her and he has a hard path to take... It's a beautiful and sweet story, with some steamy moments.
I was high on this book until I reached the plot twist! Well, more like a little before the plot twist. My 5-star rating dropped to a 4 when I realized Red was missing some back bone and resolve. She was ruining the book for me at that point! No, you cannot sit there and be angry but not be angry! This is not something you can brush under the rug so easily and smoothly! I literally wanted to slap some sense into her. But thankfully the story rectified itself and brought the 4-star back to a 5. Personally, the ending was missing a little something that screamed 'That was an epic ending!', but it wasn't too bad. The point got across clearly. I did enjoy this book completely--well as completely as could be since Red was just tearing down my rating at one point. But overall, it was a really good read!
I am a huge J A Wynters fan, having read everything she has written and her latest book, Wolf, does not disappoint. A retelling of a favourite fairy tale of mine, Little Red Riding Hood, Wynters brings the characters into today’s world with ease, entertaining the reader with the interesting story of Red Evans and her older brother Hunter. Enter the big bad wolf, a larger than life character who has captured the heart of Red, but will his be caught in return? I really enjoyed Wolf, the story got under my skin and stayed there. If you like fairytale retellings set in modern day, check out Wynters’ read, Beast, a Beauty and the Beast retelling. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
Another amazing read by JA Wynters! I love an alphahole but he has to be redeemable and that’s exactly what I got with Wolf AKA shaw Benette. He was such an asshole but as you peel away the layers you know why he did everything he did and why he behaves in the way that he does. I love his character and how he developed and him and Red are fucking perfect for one another. Red deserves her happily ever after after the shitty time she's had, I love that she gets some wins and she owns everything she gets. I love how their relations grows and how we see both sides of the coin. Hunter is also an amazing character and i would love to see him getting his own book!
Really great read, thoroughly enjoyed this book full of angst, heartbreak, heat and love, just what we love to read about. Loved Wolf and Red and they're troubled emotions. I read this book in one day didn't want to put it down it was a page turner for me. Thank you for such a good book🥰🥰
I loved Wolf and Red's story! Great characters, great backstory, great development of the story! Loved how we see glimpses of the story and how it all comes together by the end! A cool twist thrown in there as well! Wynters outdid herself with this one!
Red Evans lives a complicated life. Abandoned by her parents, Red is forced to live with her overprotective brother. The only complication? She's totally in love with his best friend, Shaw Bennett, the self-proclaimed Wolf of Oakridge. Wolf breaks her heart and Red spends the next ten years of her life following a pattern of self destruction. When she hits rock bottom, her brother Hunter says she has to move home with him and Wolf if she wants his help. With no other option, Red finds herself living in the same house as the only person she's ever really loved. And when Wolf starts to look at her like maybe he feels the same, Red is left to contemplate opening her heart to the only person who can break it all over again. ⠀ ⠀ This was such an amazing read! Wolf is easy to love - and hate - which makes him the perfect Alpha male for this novel. Red is strong willed, determined and a little bit broken which makes her relatable and easy to understand. The novel is steamy, beautiful and heartbreaking which is a perfect mix. Character growth is explored in detail and the time jumps in the book make it super exciting. I would definitely recommend giving it a read!
This book reimagines a classic fairytale with little red riding hood and the big bad wolf. This book was good, a different take on a children’s tale. It was more mature and also made me question how we got here. I felt some parts of the books were rushed and lacked plot but others were *chef’s kiss*. This is the first book by this author I’ve read and I would try another by them
