I Love This Story

I really enjoyed the way the couple finally connected…both Tatum & Ayala desired a real love and found it in each other in Mexico. I enjoyed Tatum building up Ayala’s confidence and showing her that she was worthy…This was a cute story.

Tatum Ɛ Ayala

Why was this so cute?? Teddy and Siren met by happenstance while both vacationing in Mexico, though they knew each other back home. Ayala, aka Siren was dealing with sooo much self esteem and body image issues, but the way Teddy reassured, showed and loved her....beautiful. The affirmations in the mirror...hot af.
This was super cute. No conflict, no drama. Just a cute little love story 🙃

Breathe Again by J. Chary is about Ayala Taylor and Tatum Parker. Ayala and Tatum are both newly single vacationing alone in Punta Mita. They bump into each other and decide to spend their vacation together since they know one another. Tatum’s best friend Calvin is married to Ayala’s best friend Laine. Unbeknownst to each other they’ve always had a shared attraction. Ayala’s getting back to her self after gaining a lot of weight in the grief of losing her mom. Ayala is a bit apprehensive and gun shy about Tatum’s attention because her ex never treated her well. She often gets lost in her head and puts her self down but Tatum is an alpha male meaning he ain’t going for that! This is a sweet and steamy book 🥰🥵🤸🏽‍♀️! I love Tatum’s energy and Ayala’s growth. This is an excellent summer read that will have you ready for a vacation. P.s. I hope the secondary characters get their own stories as well. Plus I’d love to see these two again 😍

So beautiful! Words can’t express how much I loved this book. How much I loved Ayala and Tatum. Tatum was that dude, I love how he always spoke life into Ayala. That scene in front of the mirror touched my heart. Ayala has her insecurities but she could still give as good as she got. This was a great, sweet summer romance and I can’t wait for more this author. Particularly Noir because he seems like he’s bae and mine. Great read.

Give me A Reason to Breathe Again

Loved it! Ayala and Tatum connecting on a trip that was meant for each of them to be on with their exes, but ended up their alone, due to being newly single, was fate.

Ayala needed to heal from more than just the ending of a relationship, but from her own insecurities as well.

Tatum wanted real love and a chance at real happiness. Coming across Ayala was the last thing he'd expected while on vacation, yet he welcomed it.

To say that Tatum is an Alpha male isn't giving him enough credit. He knew what he wanted and always got it, yet he wasn't annoyingly arrogant. He showed Ayala how to heal by loving herself first, so she could be whole and able to receive his tender loving and care.

Such a sweet short story. There were plenty of funny parts.

Good read

A breath of fresh air....

This read was a breath of fresh air. It was a love that was on the horizon long before Tatum and Ayala professed it to each other. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved how Tatum made Ayala his wife soon after he found out he made her mother. He was not hesitant about putting a ring on it and I love that quality in a man.

This is a great read that touches on a few issues, you will enjoy it. Download and catch this breath of fresh air.

Lovely 💙

Tatum was everything. The way he poured into her confidence did it for me. He was rooting for her wellness and being whole and centered when she wasn’t. I was done for after the affirmation! They were so cute. They were definitely for each other. Ayala got with him and leveled up. To find that type of peace, self love and assurance, not only alone but with your partner is indescribable. I love everything about love and these two were lovely!!

LOVED LOVED LOVED!! Tatum and Ayala’s love story is truly the one we all want. I couldn’t get over the reassurance Tatum continuously gave it warmed me. I felt their connection all throughout the book. I love that it was fast paced and the author didn’t drag out the story. I would definitely read a part two if there was one.

I can definitely breathe

This story gave me all the happy feelings. Tatum and Ayala were adorable. I loved how Tatum particularly loved on Ayala causing her to love herself. She almost lost a good one but Tatum wasn't having it. This was such a refreshing read. I loved it.

Sweet love

I loved everything about Tatum and how he loved Ayala. Her story is one that many women have dealt with and the relatability makes the story even better. I need to find me a Teddy. Lol. This was my first read from this author and it definitely won't be my last.

4/5 ⭐️ 3/5 🌶
This story followed friends Ayala and Tatum. Their two best friends are together, so by proxy they are friends as well. The two are newly out of relationships and end up being on the same vacation at the same time!

This story was very cute to me, I won’t lie Tatum gave me weird vibes BUT I loved that he really pushed for Ayala to not only get out of her shell but to love herself! I also loved that Ayala was a plus size girl, and we got to see the realities of that! I do wish she was a little bit more sure of herself but I understand with toxic relationships it knocks your self esteem down!

Also, as I’ve said I’m not a huge fan of novellas because I feel like I never get closure but this was done perfectly and left me feeling content!!

What a sweet story! Ayala and Tatum, who met through a friend of a friend, find themselves in Mexico at the same time; after breakups. They each have been feeling each other, but kept the feelings to themselves, as they both were attached. I appreciated that Tatum, was bold and
self-assured, but yet vulnerable with his feelings. Ayala, having some self esteem issues, could not believe that a man like Tatum could like her. She doubted him at every turn. However, Tatum shut her down and told her that a real man knows what he wants, and goes after it. I love how he helped build her back up, while proving that she was worthy of him. Their love was beautiful! Enjoyable read! 👍👍👍

Okay that was perfect!

Ayala and Tatum ❤ I loved everything about them! I loved how open and free Tatum was with his emotions, I specifically enjoyed the way he encouraged and motivated Ayala to be a better her. I hated the way her past relationships made her feel about herself, but it was awesome how she turned that around. I really enjoyed this book and getting to know its characters. Of course, Ayala and Tatum were my absolute favorites! This story taught me that life is too short and you have to live it how you want and repair the broken relationships that mean something to you. This is my 2nd book read by this author - I can't wait to explore more of her catalog.

I really liked this book, but I so badly wanted more? I don't think the length of the book really does the story justice. Maybe it's because I'm a huge fan of character development, it's one of the first things I note when reading, but a lot of the content and issues touched on felt a little glossed over. It was still an enjoyable read and I really liked the characters.... it just felt like something was missing or that it fell short of its potential.

I can breathe

The story was a little different type of story for this author. The amount of time spent horizontally was enormous. I'm not complaining at all, don't take that the wrong way. The relationship part was a clear focus, so this was the couples means of expressing their adoration. The story was indeed a good read.

King & Queen

This really was a fun book. I love the characters because the author actually allowed the man to teach a woman how to love herself.

I am a firm believer in teaching people how to treat you. I hope someone who is in a disrespectful relationship with use the affirmations and love themselves enough to expect better.

sweet and sexy

I really loved these two! Tatum is absolutely bae from the beginning. He was clear with his intention with Ayala. He would allow her insecurities stop them exploring their attraction to each other. This story is beautiful, entertaining with two whole nasty people!! Love it !!

Baby listen, one thing about it and two things for sure, Tatum don’t play about his woman. I loved everything about this. He was serious about her from the jump. He didn’t ever let her thing she could be less than for him. She was the one he wanted and i loved everything that they built. He made a point to show her he cared and he made a point to love on her in all the ways that she needed

I really wanted to read this novel because the reviews were so good, but I couldn't get out of Chapter 2. I couldn't get past the poor dialog between the characters and it made for a horrible reading experience. I didn't know if I was reading about adults or teenagers. I returned it.

This book had some slow moments but the storyline was great to read. I didn’t connect with Tatum or Alaya but their chemistry toward one another made me smile. Loved that the title matched the book. I’d recommend this book too.

Tatum & Ayala💞

This is my first read by Queen J. Chary. This book was chosen through my spin the kindle challenge from one of my reading groups. From beginning to end I was hooked and I'm glad I was challenged to read something new. Tatum is a man after my own heart, the way he loved on Ayala, encouraged her to love herself and wouldn't allow her to speak negatively about herself was beautiful. The fact that they both had been holding all these feelings for each other in all these years due to them being to not expressing how they felt about each other which lead them to being in situations that drained them emotionally and left them feeling empty. Nothing sexier than a man that finds you sexy even when you aren't feeling that way about yourself. Her running into her f'boy of an ex was priceless, to be a for on the wall and see the look on his face when he saw her😂. I look forward to reading more by this beauty.

Good read

I love how unique the story line was in the way it started. Ayala had some past hurts messing with her self esteem. I hate to see women struggle with that but she did so in a very realistic way.
