I hate everything about MMA bad boy Jase Rawlins, but the biggest promotion of my life depends on me convincing the world he’s reformed.
After breaking up with my violent ex, I want nothing else to do with professional fighters. Unfortunately, my job as a publicist is on the line unless I can turn my ex’s biggest rival into a media darling.
Jase’s infuriating attitude pushes all of my buttons, but the more I get to know him, the more I wonder if I’ve gotten him wrong.
Our chemistry is blazing hot, but if we give in to the attraction, I could lose my job, and Jase could lose his freedom.

Jase is a mms fighter and he's in trouble. Lena has been hired to get him out of a mess. She refuses to get involved with a mms fighter even during work. She was abused by a fighter before. Then she gets to know made.
A. Rivers is a new to me author, and I am so glad that I gave her a chance. I haven’t read an MMA romance in a while, but was intrigued by this plot, and Fighter’s Heart was everything I wanted and more. It had the hot MMA guy, the feisty woman who brings him to his knees and enough drama and angst to keep you on your toes.
Lena, the top PR rep for bad boy athletes, is approached to get Jase Rawlins, MMA fighter, out of trouble after his ex-girlfriend accuses him of domestic abuse. She takes an instant disliking to him, letting her past make judgements about him before he’s even opened his mouth, and when he does, it only confirms what she thinks, that he’s an arrogant jerk. Jase has had these false accusations thrown against less than two weeks before the championship bout, and he can’t allow for distractions, including the attractive PR rep he now makes his mission to wind up. But once she starts to really push him, trying to see what makes him tick and wanting to know the real him, he’s shocked to realise that maybe loving someone will only improve his life, not take away from it. With everything against them, will Lena and Jase have a future once she’s put out his PR fire?
For once, a couple in a romance book actually communicated and were honest with each other, and to be honest it was a breath of fresh air and felt entirely more believable. Instead of blowing up, arguing, or sulking when faced with a problem, they said it how it was. Even when they were at odds, they were always doing what they genuinely thought was best for the other, fighting for their happiness. Yes, it took some time for them to get there, at the start they both had their own secrets, but once they were in, they were basically an open book to each other, which I loved.
Jase was everything you want in a hero, a bad boy MMA fighter with the looks and the charm, but underneath had the level of depth that comes from having had a tough start in life. He keeps his circle close knit, but if you’re lucky to be accepted, you better believe that he would do anything to keep you safe, even from himself. His personality was hilarious, his little jokes and flirting made me laugh, but the vulnerability he showed when he realised the Lena actually cared for him, and not for any ulterior reason was so sweet, and it ultimately made me fall for him just like Lena.
Lena was this take no punches woman who was incredibly good at her job, but hated who she had to represent, until Jase. She painted him with the same brush as everyone else she had swooped in to save, but soon she realised she had completely misplaced judgements, and that for once, this guy wasn’t the privileged sports star she was used to. I loved her independence, her want to succeed on her own without her family, and she knew that this job was only a steppingstone to doing what she had always wanted, to represent people who needed her and to make a difference. Her ability to find out the truth was nothing short of impressive, even when she had no obligation, she did whatever it took to clear the man she loved’s name.
The behind the scenes of the MMA world was amazing, I felt like I learned so much and it’s clear that A Rivers knows her stuff. It was so detailed, like I was there in the gym training with Jase or in the room getting ready with him for the big fight. She’s set up the rest of this series so well, I am so ready to see which women will bring Jase’s best friends Devon and Gabe to their knees, especially with the hint of Gabe’s love interest at the end which got me so excited for Fighter’s Best Friend next. I will be adding A Rivers’ books to my must-read list from now on, Fighter’s Heart was such a great read!
This was a fantastic read by new author A Rivers. Jase was such a sweetheart and I loved him instantly. First impressions were bot great, but as their friendship evolved so did the sexual tension and sparks flew! Loved this couple. A great MMA series. Will definitely be reading more when released.
OK 2020 we've done it again... Another new 2me author and I'm an instant fan.
I'm not sure who I liked more; Jase or Lena. The chemistry was undeniable and I loved the way their whole relationship played out. I absolutely loved the whole MMA theme and Lena being the one who was saving the day. As this is the first book in the series I can not wait for the next book to come out because I'm invested to see how will the next couple find their HEA. Please don't make me wait to long 😁

Really like it a lot!!! Would have like a bit more substance as everything happened too fast. I am not one to ever say this but there was a few spelling errors and honestly I don’t usually ever mention in a review but a few misspelled words that shouldn’t have been was a little turn off, a good writer will go along way with good editing for sure and it makes it more professional too! Definitely planning to read Gabe’s story for sure!!!
Jase is an MMA fighter who is being accused of hitting his girlfriend so he really needs help with his image to fight this. This is where Lena comes in, she's in PR so Jase is her new assignment which is something she doesn't want to do as she has some serious emotional scars from her past. Lena is smart, sexy, and an all around great woman, who doesn't just fall for Jase, but actually investigates the claim which was very awesome since I'm over heroines who just fall for heroes from the jump. They have some intense chemistry which is shooting sparks in every direction, but there's still that accusation hanging over his head (domestic abuse is never easy) while she has those trust issues, but they do have sexy times that are HOT HOT HOT. I really loved this first book by A. Rivers, and can't wait to read the next book! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I was kind of excited to read this from the blurb, but I feel kind of let down. The book is quick and the plot develops way too fast for me. I feel like the author had a chance to really take this book to a whole other level but it fell flat. The excitement sadly wasn’t there for me. The climax of the book just gets brushed over too quickly and the characters sadly don’t stand out either.
4.5 Stars for Fighter’s Heart ( Crown MMA Romance #1) What a great start to this series, if you are looking for a fast paced romance look no further than Fighter’s Heart. This is Lena LaFontaine and Jace ‘ the wrangler’ Rawlin’s story and what a wonderful tale they have to tell. Jace is a MMA fighter and he is living up to his bad boy reputation and that’s where Lena steps in, as a PR agent for professional sports superstars, her job is clearing up the mess bad boys get themselves into. She doesn’t have to like her clients she just needs to spin the press they get, so why is this bad boy getting under her skin.... Jace is at the top of his game and he never needs to beg to get a woman, that is until he meets the prim and proper PR agent who goes by the name of Lena.... Opposites attract and sometimes oil and water do mix and that normally leads to some seriously hot chemistry and this is one of those books , what’s not to love about an arrogant, cocky hero being bought to his knees by a sweet, prim and proper lady. Jace really doesn’t want to be helped and as much as Lena pushes him, he pushes right back and that leads to plenty of witty banter. This is a quick read but please don’t be put off by that because it still packs a mighty punch, it’s a story that will certainly tick plenty of boxes, it’s fast paced, has great characters and it’s wonderful first book by this talented author.
“I always thought love was a distraction, but it turns out it’s the most powerful motivator of all.”
Lena is a P.R and she works for the worst men in the sports world, but she has a reputation of making these men look good in the public eyes, and that`s why Jason`s agent goes looking after her, when Jason`s ex-girfriend accuses him of hitting on her.
This book was such a nice surprise. When I received the ARC from the author, I was a little bit afraid, because I think we have to be really careful when doing romances with a hero that`s being accused of hitting a woman. But, honestly, I think the author did a really good job with it.
I liked how the heroine dealt with everything. I loved the fact that she chose to talk with his ex-girlfriend too and it was not just a case where the hero winked and the heroine trusted his words a 100%. I loved both characters, Jase was so sweet and totally boyfriend material and I just couldn`t stop reading it.
I started this book in the morning and I finished in the afternoon. The book is light, fast and cute and I am definitely reading the second one.
“Jase.” Her voice is low and cautious. “Stop looking at me like you’re hungry, and I’m dinner.”
Thank you A. Rivers for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Part of a series: Yes HEA: Cheating: Any couple separation: Angst Level: Heat Level: Cliffhanger:
Lena LaFontaine‘s boss wants her to work her magic PR that cleans up bad-boy reputations on Jase who has been accused of beating up on a woman. Before she even meets Jase, she is angry and believes he is guilty, along with being arrogant and cocky like most of them are.
Jase Rawlins has the reputation of the bad-boy of the MMA world already and Lena has to clean up that perception. He already can feel that she wants to hate him. But he is truly not guilty of the accusation made against him. Will she work with him and at least try to clear his name? Will he be able to convince her that he doesn’t deserve her judgment and needs her help? Or will she let her personal irritation with the MMA athletes in general cloud her view and make her quit on him?
This was a good story with a good lesson to learn. Lena “paints all MMA fighters with the same brush” because her ex was one. Will she let Jase show her that he can be trusted, that not all of the professional fighters are like her ex? Can she do a fair and honest job for the guys who need her help? And will she and Jase finally be able to let their attraction bring them together if he finally proves himself to her?
I loved this book! It was my first book by A. Rivers and I’m so thrilled to know this is the start of a new series, yeaaaaaah! It is a great read, you’re drawn into the story from the beginning. Jase is a MMA fighter who has been wrongfully accused of beating his ex. Lena is a PR lady who helps him built a good reputation again. They both have strong characters and they clash immediately. Once they get to know each other and work together, there is that undeniable attraction between them. I don’t know who I love more Jase or Lena. His brothers at the gym Devon and Gabe are funny and make this story complete. I loved the funny banter, their playfulness, his caveman behavior, the sexual chemistry! A must read! Can’t wait for the other books!

I could NOT put this book down! With FIGHTER'S HEART, the first book in her Crown MMA series A. Rivers delighted this sports romance fan with an intriguing plot, captivating characters and just the right amount of lust to set the pages on fire. I will definitely be waiting for the next book in this series!
Lena LaFontaine is a spitfire and quite the character. She's strong and empowered and uses the lessons she's learned to propel her into going after her dreams.
Jase Rawlins is pure gold. He's kindhearted, he's accomplished and he's determined to outshine the roots he came from.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a bad boy sports romance with an intriguing back story, a supporting cast of friends that steal the show and a happily ever after in the making.
“I always thought love was a distraction, but it turns out it’s the most powerful motivator of all.”
Fighter's Heart is a MMA Romance story that will grab your heart, steal your undivided attention, and have you rooting for these two characters from the very beginning. The cocky, sexy, and oh so sweet Jase Rawlins is a professional fighter who has found himself caught up in a situation that requires a PR rep to save his reputation. Enter the beautiful, caring, and oh so sassy Lena who initially wants nothing to do with the fighter. With some angst, witty banter, humour, sizzling chemistry, wonderful characters, and swoon worthy moments, Lena and Jase's story will pull at your heart strings, and have you laughing, smiling, swooning, cheering, and itching to get your hands on the future books in this series. Loved and can't wait for more!!!
What a wonderful debut to this series. Fighter’s Heart is the first book in the Crown MMA Romance Series by A. Rivers. This story had depth and heat and I’m giving it a strong 4.5 stars. And that cover is smoking hot. Lena works for a P.R. company in Las Vegas and she is the go-to girl to clean up the bad boys in sports. A fierce, determined red head woman, she knows what she wants. Jase Rawlins is an MMA fighter who’s been wrongfully accused of being a woman beater. Jase keeps his fists to himself, unless he’s in the cage. Jase hires Lena to help with his P.R. nightmare and the two immediately clash. Lena is doesn’t like or trust him because of his career choice, her ex is a MMA fighter as well. “I always thought love was a distraction, but it turns out it’s the most powerful motivator of all.” As the two spend time together working on his P.R. issues, it’s evident that the two are attracted to each other. Lena doesn’t mix business with pleasure and Jase does not while training for a fight. The attraction can’t be denied and they are explosive together. I was given an ARC for my honest review. I enjoyed reading this story. I’m excited about the secondary characters that were introduced. They’ve been set up nicely for their own books which I’m looking forward to reading them when they are released. Fighter’s Best Friend is scheduled to be released in March 2021.
This is the first in a new series and is Jace / The Wrangler and Lena’s story. Lena is a sassy, fierce and determined PR agent who is hired to clean up the image for Jace when he is falsely accused of hitting a woman. Jace is cocky, arrogant, bossy, and infuriating, and he lives up to his bad boy façade, but the chemistry between them is explosive. This is a well written tale which this talented author has done an outstanding job in weaving, and I was totally captivated throughout this riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this author and I recommend this story for all sport romance lovers.
Never judge a book by its cover is the theme of this adversary (not quite enemies) to lovers romance. Jase is a tough as nails MMA fighter dealing with a crazy ex dragging him through the tabloids and Lena is the PR person tasked with cleaning up this bad boys image. They judge each other upon meeting based on first impressions but due to circumstances they are forced to get to know each other and figure out that the other is not what they seem. Good character development, plenty of action, some steam and although its a transparent plot, its done well and keeps the reader engaged.

New fav. Lena & Jase are perfect together and I love their banter especially in the taxi. Jase is fight Karson for the belt but Karson is Lena ex who hit once, she left him after that. To make him ugly so he wouldn't get laid again. Jase was very excited to fight her ex after what he learnt what he did to his girl.
I wont tell you who won the match...
The bound with these two is funny and very hot. Jase knows how to push Lena buttons but she not afraid to stand her ground. I would love if these two were my friends
This story has great characters that make you fall in love with them right from the start. The main characters Lena and Jase are two fighting hearts, they are fighting what they are feeling for each other. This story is very well written and was a very good surprise since this is the first book I have read from A. Rivers and I loved it.

This was my first read from this author. I loved the first person point of view of the story, which is always a deal breaker for me. I loved Lena, she was an amazing character and I liked her pep talks with herself about her boss. A really good story, I read it in one sitting and I will read more from this author in the future.

This story proves that there are good people as well as bad people, age, sex, nationality, rich, poor, famous, or even what type of job they have. You should never judge someone, every single person is their own person they make all their own decisions.

Fighter's Heart was my first read by this author and I was blown away by how much I enjoyed it!
I'll admit to knowing very little about the MMA world but after reading the story of Jase and Lena I'm becoming a fan! With this book Jase finds himself in a PR nightmare and Lena is brought in to help. Only in her eyes he is guilty just from her past experiences. This enemies to lovers romance blossoms as more of the real story unfolds and the past is brought to light. Lena learns not everyone in the MMA world is bad and Jase learns what really matters, what to really fight for.
This sports romance was well written and had me turning page after page. I couldn't get enough and look forward to reading the next book in this series!
A.Rivers is a new author to me and this was a great read by a new author to me, I love a good MMA book and to find out this is book 1 in the Crown MMA series is exciting and I cannot wait to read the other books in this series.
I had some issues with the main concept, and then the page at which the enemies to lovers relationship evolved, but there were sexy bits so I was satisfied.
