An ogre, a troll, and a witch walk into a bar...yeah, it would be funny if the joke wasn’t on us. Without warning, the three of us are thrust into a new magical world where winging it is the name of the game. All this talk about our other forms? Yeah, we really need to figure that out. This witch business is a lot to take in, and the black hat and broom are really cramping my style.
We’ve gotta work fast because under the surface of this fantasy world, trouble is brewing. No, that’s not my cauldron I’m talking about...ninety-nine percent sure I don’t even have one of those. What we do have is a pack of wolves that want to eat us and a king who wants nothing more than to see us gone for good.
On top of the crazy we’ve landed in, the gigantic ogre and the hairy troll are starting to grow on me...much like the warts on my extremely large nose. Can I risk letting them in? My heart’s not sold on the idea, but this traitorous green body is all for it.
Well, whether it’s in the bedroom or the enchanted forest, this ogre, troll, and witch aren’t going down without a fight. Here’s to toil and trouble - the likes of which this kingdom has never seen before.
If The Broom Fits is novella one in a medium-burn, quirky menage trilogy. It’s full of insta-love, sarcasm, and troll dick. It started out as a writing prompt but turned into a tale even the author herself wasn’t prepared for. Guaranteed HEA by the last installment.
Loved this book! Witty, sexy, quirky fun is what Sinclair Kelly is becoming known for! And while this book is a novella it certainly doesn't read like one. I loved the characters- Max the gruff Ogre, Brenna the savvy witch, Liam the naughty troll, and the rest of the supporting characters. The story- Three strangers being transported to a land of legend, transformed into fairytale creatures forced to go on a journey in an attempt to get back home. But things are not as they seem and along the way they find more than they bargained for. And above all else the writing! Sinclair is definitely a one-click author! I can't wait to get into book 2!
I absolutely fell in love with the wonderful characters in this quirky paranormal MFM. Brenna, Liam and Max are in a league all their own. They have such distinct personalities that just draw you to them both for the things that make you laugh out loud and the things that make you want to cuddle them. As they encounter new things that most would cower from, they decide time after time to band together and forge stronger bonds. As much as I love them, I am falling in love with the unique world they’ve found themselves in. There’s clearly more going on here than meets the eye, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
How you gonna do me like that ??? Hmmm a cliffhanger really 🤔🙄🖕🏽just kidding 😘 we’ll kinda . Max Max Max when is your big sexy self gonna learn to hold your tongue. I hope in book two they open up about their past and come clean about their feelings 😉😉😉😉 I’m looking at you max .

Lighthearted and fun, “If The Broom Fits” feels a lot like an RPG game, complete with a kingdom to explore and save and a magic system to learn and master. The three main characters have distinctive voices and personalities, and are overall likeable and easy to root for.
My one complaint about the story would be the fact that I would have dearly liked to read the scene when they first wake up on a field. Waking up in a body so different from one’s own would be a trip – doing so while alongside two creatures of fantasy would only make it all the more shocking. Skipping over this and the bonding that took place as they made their way to the tavern feels like a lost opportunity and gives the relationship a shade of instalove that doesn’t really fit the characters.
Still, it is a decidedly fun read that kept me entertained from beginning to end. It also has me curious about the possibilities that this world opens for future series with new characters – though these three have to save the kingdom first, haha!
✓ Insta-lust ✓ Insta-holy sh*t, love?! ✓ Insta-v*gina stop this, we don't even know them! ✓ Insta-where tf are we?
If the Broom Fits is true to its blurb. It's fun, quirky, and has a little fiery spark that makes this novella a great read. The more I read of Kelly's writing, the more I appreciate the humor. When one is a workaholic, laughter truly is the best medicine to maintain sanity.
Her humor is a little bit sneaky, a little bit cheeky, and a lot of the more dry/sarcastic style that I seek out in real life. Are there still the occasional d*ck jokes? Uhm, yes, definitely, but I think they're cleverly fit into the story where they make sense. Her humor isn't overly pushy or overly crude, where a laugh is being shocked out of you. It's smart writing, and I appreciate the craft of it.
Note: That being said, there's a time and a place for shocking out a laugh, and I certainly enjoy those types of leading ladies and stories too.
If the Broom Fits has a smart sense of balance, and even though it's a novella, it has a big of everything you want: s*x, laughter, character development, and the seeds of action that make you curious and want to keep digging into the story to see what happens to Brenna, Liam, and Max next. Our unsuspecting trio finds themselves definitely not in Kansas anymore, and Kelly's take on a storybook kind of magical place is uniquely hers. The concept of their second forms is a fresh twist, and I like that little quirk as part of the challenges that get thrown our gang's way.
Overall, I've enjoyed my trip into this new world, and I definitely wouldn't say no to a companion novel that digs deeper into the different realms we'll be visiting with Brenna & the boys.
Max, Brenna, and Liam are transported from bring human to being a witch, Orge and a troll.. they are in a new works and in new bodies and it’s a wild ride trying to get back to the surface ..
The banter between these three is so funny ...the world they are in is full of new adventures and the characters they meet along the way ..
“If you’re packing nine inches in those trousers, then just call me the jolly green giant “-Max
“ Come to Papa Troll” they have amazing chemistry. The mfm relationship works for them .. even if someone has a hard time with it..they are convinced the rules don’t really apply in this new world ..
As they try and learn their new powers and abilities, I could not even tell you how much fun this is .. “ witchy magic, dont make me think. Help a girl out, make my shirt pink”- Brenna
If you need a light read with hilarious banter and sexual chemistry and plenty of laugh out moments then this is the book for you. I can’t wait til book two ..
Another Ggreat start to a series. I was drawn in to this book. The characters were so funny. The plot was good, definitely different from what I have read before. I enjoyed the take on how the characters reacted to different parts of the land, to each other, the comedic aspect to the characters, and how the acted towards the side characters they met. Liam is such a sweetheart, Max is a dominant Mr. Grumpy man you have to love, and Brenna is the epitome of a kick-butt female lead. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. Sinclair has once again hooked me in from the first book and left me wanting more. Well done.

An ogre, a troll, and a witch walk into a bar... I read this part of the blurb and I was immediately hooked, knowing that I was about to read some hilarious shenanigans. Brenna, Liam, and Max are three strangers who get dropped into an unexpected situation and forced to make the best of the confusing new journey they've found themselves on. With help from a friendly bartender, these adventurers begin their quest to learn more about themselves and claim their birthright. With a vampire as one of their guides, can they outrun the wolves hunting them? This book will make you laugh, and you will never think of trolls the same ever again. Trust me, there's no place like home, which is where you will want to be reading when joining Sinclair Kelly on this new expedition.
This book is absolutely hilarious. There were so many times that I actually laughed out loud. From witchy jokes to creative s*x scenes, this book is the lighthearted story my heart was begging for.
In time for Halloween, this magical ménage book about a witch and ogre and a troll is the perfect way to escape from reality for a little bit.
Brenna, Max, and Liam are perfectly broken souls brought together in a magical realm where they are off on adventure together. It waits to be seen if they are able to stand united in the face of evil, or if they will be separated by pride and memories of a past where each of them has been hurt before.
I had the pleasure of receiving an advanced copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review. If you love comedy, mystery, and paranormal romance, then you won’t want to miss out.
This novella from Sinclair was absolutely adorable! It was mysterious, fun and witty, and definitely has some steamy sexual tension going on!
Sinclair really knows how to make a reader laugh that’s for sure! There were multiple times that I laughed so hard, it just couldn’t be contained.
These characters were so great! So much personality and depth even in a short time. There’s Breena the strong, kick butt witch; Max the grumpy, protective ogre; and Liam the goofy, kind and adorable troll. I mean, what’s not to love! Their chemistry and dynamic is electric! Right from the beginning it’s like could see the magic tethering them together, it was beautiful.
The storyline is super original and unique, it pulled me in right away! I absolutely loved this book! Sinclair Kelly is one amazing author!
Warning: If you are not ready for a book that will make you laugh, give you hot flashes, and be utterly ridiculous in the best way then you don't need to read this book.
Everyone else I have one more thing to add.....TROLL DICK IS THE BEST!!
Bur for real Sinclair Kelly knocked it out of the park. The world of Legends that she introduced us to was brilliant and so wonderfully complex. With everything going on in the world it was such a delight to read a book that just made me smile and characters that I wanted to know more about. It's a quick read but one that I will turn to when I just need something to lift my spirits. Can't wait to see where this tale continues too!!
So, a troll, witch and ogre walk into a bar.... No, it's not the start of a Halloween joke.
After a mysterious book launches Max, Liam and Brenna, three strangers, into another realm (and not quite looking like their normal selves) a trip to a bar seems like it's the best option. And from here, the mayhem begins.
If The Broom Fits is a funny, quirky, paranormal/fantasy menage novella. I enjoyed reading it, and am looking forward to the next book, to see where their next adventure takes them!
This book was fantastic!! It's a PRN Fairytale unlike anything I've every read. Sinclair Kelly is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors with her unique stories, awesome wit, very distinctive characters, charm and heat. Brenna is a kick A$$ MC with a fantastic sense of humor. Liam is charming, sweet and wicked funny and Max is a big grouch but so loveable. An ogre, a troll and a witch walk into a bar..what's not to love?! I can't wait for the next book in this series!!
A witch, a troll and an ogre, a trio you never knew you needed in your life! Breanna, Liam and Max were dropped into the Land of Legends in fairytale forms and embark on an adventure to get back home. Sexy, funny, quirky, and flirty you absolutely fall in love with these characters. Breanna is strong and sassy and perfect for this story. Liam is flirty and fun, you fall head over heels for him. Max the broody alpha male you just wanna kiss and smother all in one shot! You won't regret this book! I NEED book 2 NOW!
Laugh out loud halariousness!! From the very first chapter I was cackling like a crazy witch- rather the point I might add🤣 absolutely loved it it brings fairytales back to life can’t wait to read more...
Absolutely loved this story. It's filled with humor and strange occurrences. All of the craziness begins with a book. There's even an interesting critter that pops up. You'll be hooked from the start turning pages till the very end.
Amazing second book by a very talented new author. Filled with witty, sarcastic one liners once again, this is a must read. The troll, witch and ogre, along with a disappearing broom and kitty, will keep you giggling throughout.
It’s certainly an entertaining read. I want more, and can’t wait for the next installment.
Oh my gosh!! So Brenna is a badass and I love her. Max and his brooding was absolutely perfect for the part. Liam though. I love his jokes. But that ending!!! It absolutely killed me!! I cannot wait for the next one!!

This book is hilarious! So Brenna, Max and Liem all get a mysterious book telling them to read the first line of the book. Everything goes crazy when they all wake up in a field together looking ridiculous characters from a fairy tale. Just to add some insult to injury, they are all complete strangers that feel an intense pull to each other. I really enjoyed reading this book and hope book two comes out sooner rather than later because it has one of the dreaded cliffhanger.
Where do I begin? How about... I love it!! This is such a unique and hilarious novella! The characters have such great chemistry and the backstory is really intriguing. Truly one of a kind! I cannot WAIT for the next one!!
This book is just such a fun read. I really like how the author describes each of the main characters so you get a feel for them. I totally recommend this book and cannot wait for the sequel.
Sinclair Kelly always has me in a fit of giggles with her books. This novella was such a fun entertaining read that brought you along in the journey that the three main characters find themselves forced to begin. It was similar to an RPG-like game, except the players had no idea what the world they entered had in store for them. No map, no idea of the surroundings or people, no idea how to proceed, but a whole heck of a lot of fun and action along the way. Add in a touch of insta-attraction/love and you have a pretty well balanced story. I find that trolls and ogres aren't often main characters in stories, even less as love interests, so seeing Kelly add such variety to her characters was a welcomed sight. Although this story was a quick and easy read, I didn't find it lacking in any way. There were never moments where it started to feel dull and it definitely packed as much of a punch as any longer story I've ever read. I found myself eager to find out the true backstory to the characters and why they were transported to this new world. I feel like there is so much more to come in this story and I cannot wait to find out what will happen in the next book! Bring on the ducking glitter and pink dresses.
I just loved this light funny book that takes me and 3 struggling people to an unknown world and turns them into a witch, ogre and a troll. Really they can't trust anyone but each other.
We go through the story looking for a way for them to get home. They become closer with each other and you start to get little bits of their pasts and current life at just the right bits. Definitely well written.
There is a lot of swearing, sexual thoughts and comments in this plus it turns into a menage situation so if these aren't for you please stop now and do not read.
This had me laughing so much and was exactly what I needed after some darker/emotional reads.
Downside well I was thinking really hard on this and the only thing I can think is that the rest aren't available yet. I am dying for the rest of the story. I cannot wait.
Would I recommend? Most definitely in fact I already have been. Grab this as soon as you can to take you to a brand new world.

OMG, what a fun adventure this book turned out to be! It exceeded my expectations, but then again I shouldn’t be surprised with the amazing Sinclair Kelly. I am in love with Book 1 to this series, The Land of Legends. What a delightful and whimsical twist to our favorite fairy tales and lore. Sinclair Kelly does an amazing job with giving us little bits and pieces to the stories and characters while leaving on the threshold of wanting more. I can’t wait for Book 2, and all the other tie ins to the stories I have loved as a kid. Now I get to enjoy it with some darkness and a whole lot of STEAM!
Best line— An ogre, a troll, and a witch walk into a bar… Well I will leave you with that because trust me you don’t even know or could possibly imagine how it will turn out.
The book does end with a minor cliffhanger, however it will leave you smiling! Jump on your broom and put on your best witch’s hat because this is just the start of fun ride.
I had no clue what to expect, because I’d never heard of Ms. Kelly before, but I’d fallen in love with her cover and the blurb was killer so I took a chance. I can promise you I won’t forget her now! I’ve already pre-ordered book two, and for a budget conscious person like myself, that’s a big deal. To the story: I was hooked once I got into the meat of it. I was a tiny bit confused near the front, with some of the references, but that could have been because I had a forced break in reading it. However, I honestly loved every bit of this. The banter was so funny. The flirting, the emotions, the plot, the characters themselves, it all worked really well, and in a fantasy setting to top it all off, which isn’t normally my thing at all! It might be now, if it’s a Sinclair Kelly story. Can’t wait for If The Wand Sparkles, to find out what happens next!!!
If the Broom Fits by the Sinclair Kelly is a fantasy romance that fits a whole lot of quirky humour into a very short novella. Three strangers are delivered a book and a letter which tells them to read the first passage at midnight that night. They wake in a strange world, turned into mythical creatures; Max an ogre, Liam a troll and Breanna a witch.
If the Broom Fits follows Max, Liam and Breanna as they attempt to control their powers, their physical manifestations and escape towards the Reality Portal. It is an insta-love, medium burn menage with lots of heat and chemistry.
It is a great Halloween read if you are looking for a paranormal romance with offbeat humour. I would recommend this book for readers looking for a quick read filled with laughs, heat and creatures that go bump in the night.
‘You see, on the surface world, those of us with magic in our blood tend not to age. We’re not immortal, but darn close.’
This is the second book I’ve read by Sinclair Kelly, and it for sure won’t be the last! I love her style of writing. It’s always so humorous and filled with funny moments that I have a little laugh at. Or at least a tiny puff of air leaves my nose. Which trust me, means that I find something super funny.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this short story and I am excited to learn more about these three! It really is a quirky paranormal romance read, and I’m not a massive PNR reader, but I’ve found that I’ll always happily make an exception to read one of Sinclair’s books!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
