He began his writing career scribbling short fantasy stories on grotty bits of paper as a young child, around 5 or 6 years old. Later, he would go on to study at the NZ Film and Television school in 2011 after being distracted by the allure of film, only to find his way back to writing in 2014 by joining the marketing world as a copywriter.
He lives with his wife and son, working in marketing by day and writing stories (no longer on grotty bits of paper) by night.

No. The writing was not well done.
I was looking for Mad Max. What i got was a Grey-skin. A species of grey-skinned semi-humans that evolved after Armageddon.
The last book i read was about a 6ft tall 600lb killer spider. Written by one of the Impractical Jokers.
I'm up for some cold pizza monster mash.
This book just didn't work. No connection to the characters or the story. The writing was all over the place and at times confusion.

After an apocalypse, a pair of bounty hunters, one of whom is stepson to a self proclaimed queen go hunting, while trying to prevent another world war.
Sort of funny, like an Italian post-nuke Mad Max rip-off movie in the 80's.

Really excellent book. Duncan Pacey is a fantastic writer who creates characters who are smart, flawed, relatable, and believable. His stories feel like they have a true sense of weight and consequence, and his plots feel important and compelling. On top of that, this book is a genuinely funny read. I would recommend it for any fans of Pratchett, the fallout series, In Bruges, and anyone who is looking a story with teeth and a sense of humour. Can't recommend this and Smack Dab in the Middle of Nowhere Enough

I had a lot of fun reading this book as I liked the humor and the characters.
It is a highly enjoyable and entertaining read, the plot is well thought and the characters are interesting.
Recommended.

DNF. Not for me. Might work for others. It fits the bill of Terry Pratchett type of fantasy.... but it just didn't work for me.

I actually kind of enjoyed this book - it was amusing and not cookie cutter. The two main characters were likeable and although this was pretty much sci-fi, Pacey did a good job of explaining things right up front. However, I'm not a real sci-fi fan, and about halfway through I realized that I wasn't making much progress. I would read a few pages, then lose interest. I honestly think this just wasn't my kind of book, but I could totally see someone more into ridiculous sci-fi really getting a kick out of it.

Buddy cop story meets a zombie apocalypse with a touch of intrigue and revolution and plenty of stabby stabby shooty shooty run run. An enjoyable, if somewhat long read.
