This book is part of the Holiday Springs Resort Series and I've really enjoyed reading the books from these authors and the different characters that they have brought and this book has been a great addition to this world.

Nicole is a romance writer and has just had the shock of her life when her fiance jilted her on the day of the wedding and this is something that she wasn't expecting at all. She decided to still go on there supposed honeymoon and try to relax and get her head together.
Barrett is a guy that works extremely hard and has never really taken any time of work at all and now his boss has kind of ordered him to take a break a reluctantly he does. As soon as he sees Nicole he knows that there is something about her that is drawing him to her and he cant stop thinking about her.

I love how this author has written this story and how much this story flows beautifully. I love the characters and how this author has written them both and brought them to life for the reader. This is such a beautiful and magical word that you cant help but love and its defiantly a real place in your mind that you would love to visit for real lol! Nicole and Barrett have an amazing amount of chemistry and decide to give each other and love a real chance neither of them were expecting anything when they went on there trip and now we hope that they both get there own HEA. I enjoyed reading this book and I cant wait to read more form this world and this author.

4.5 Stars for Something New (Holiday Springs Resort #6)
I’m loving this series and I really look forward to my visits to the Holiday Springs Resort, I’m loving all the characters, their stories and the new authors I’m finding. Ms Woods is another new author and her addition to this series has left wanting more from this very talented writer.
Nicole and Barrett’s story is a touching one, a bride left just before her wedding decides to take the honeymoon and meets a stranger who fast becomes the love of her life. Two people not looking for love find each other and love when they least expect it......
Something New is a captivating read that drew me in from the first page and didn’t let me go until had read the final line. I loved the plot, the characters and I will certainly be checking out other works by this author as soon as time permits.

Nicole thought that she had written her own love story until her groom changed his mind. She needs to put some distance between herself and the situation so she decides to follow through on the vacation they planned and hopefully work on her next book at the same time.

Barrett is an investment banker who is focused on his career and now finds himself on a mandated holiday by the company he works for. When he meets Nicole the chemistry between them ignites but will they realize that their fling is actually the beginning of their forever?

Neither Nicole nor Barrett were looking for love or a relationship but sometimes fate has other plans.

This story was missing something. It was all very civilized and reactions didn’t feel authentic—especially when jilted face to face by the groom (yeah right) a couple of hours before the wedding ceremony. The heroine's world felt small, as she only interacted with her sister, no friends and her parents were barely mentioned, especially given the circumstances of her being jilted.

I truly tried to understand the groom's delay in airing his concerns. As mentioned by the bride, he could have said something at the Rehearsal Dinner, the night before. He even went as far as to get dressed for their Wedding Day.

Any relationship that happens after a catastrophic event is a rebound relationship. I found their negotiations to have a fling--very unsexy, versus just doing it. Low heat level.

Nicole was jilted on the day of her wedding, he just couldn’t go through with it, so after sorting everything out, she finally went on her honeymoon - alone!
Barrett was told by his boss to take a holiday, his first in over five years. Neither were looking for romance, but when they met, first at the reception desk and then later in the bar, sparks flew. They spend a lot of the week together and agreed to a holiday fling! But we all know that flings lead to more, but they agreed it wouldn’t so they went their separate ways! Will they meet again and figure it out, or was it just a holiday romance!

B. Ivy Woods is quickly becoming a favorite of mine! I had not read any of the other books in this series, so I was unsure if I felt like I had missed something. However, this book can definitely stand on it's own. I love that Nicole is a romance author, yet her love life isn't in the greatest position. The whole story felt very realistic, even to the details of her taking her honeymoon trip, even though she never got married. I love how her and Barrett met, each at the resort for two very different reasons, yet decided to give love a chance. Holiday Springs Resort, seems like such a magical place. Honeymoons always seem to take place on the beach in novels, so I loved that this was the opposite of that. As a person who isn't a fan of snow, a honeymoon cabin sounded delightful! Very well written. Excited to read more of B. Ivy Wood's books.

I was immensely fortunate to receive an ARC of Something New for review. I'm not a massive fan of contemporary romance (anyone who knows me knows that a romance has to WOW me to get a five star), but Something New was a fantastic read, deviating from Woods' romantic suspense novels but in a very good way! Try "something new" for Christmas, and pick up this lovely holiday romance!

Many times when i read a story about a bride left at the altar, she literally is left at the altar as though no one thought to tell her before walking down the aisle that there is no groom. waiting This story starts differently with the groom (Chris) letting the bride (Nicole) know he has no desire to get married to her, today. For a romance writer this is not good. If you can't have your own HEA how can you write it for others. Thankfully fate steps in with a delayed honeymoon vacation by herself to Holiday Springs where she meets Barrett a man who was forced to take a vacation because he is a workaholic having a slight meltdown. The chemistry is realized early on but it is not acted upon until the couple has a chance to get to know each other. Even though their time together is short it feels longer in a good way. You get to be a part of their developing feelings for each other and with the help of her sister (Angie) and his mother their advise shows more layers of who these two people are. I found myself pulling for this couple wanting them to step outside of their heads and give love a chance. That is what makes it real. Real people have issues with past hurts, career choices and self denial believing that the pain is too great to go down that road again or to even go down it at all.
I enjoyed reading this book and would like to thank the author for allowing me the chance to enjoy and give an honest review of her book.

Honestly I wasn’t sure how much I would like this one since I’ve already read a story like this from this round of books from the resort... but I should’ve known that this author would deliver! I’ve never read from them but I know the last series I loved them all!

Barrett is the type of guy you hope you fall for and if not you wish comes into your life at the right exact moment he is needed. The amount of spoiling done is exactly how this woman should’ve spent her vacation! I was in awe in some moments that I wished my own husband would take pointers from and should recommend him read this book!

Nicole seemed hurt but also inspired to overcome her past. This is a bride who took her passion and made herself happy regardless of how it could look to others. She should be inspiration for others who need to realize they make their own happiness even if it includes a man or woman.

I really enjoyed the book!! It may look like I took a long time reading but life happens especially during these times. I was so incredibly inspired by Nicole and it has made me want to find more from this author!! Congrats and best of luck!

Is there anything worse than being told that you aren't getting married right before you are set to walk down the aisle? Perhaps the fact that you are a romance writer, but don't get your own happy ending? Not only did Nicole not get married, but now she has writer's block with a deadline looming so she decides to take what would have been her honeymoon trip to the Poconos by herself. She decides to keep the honeymoon cabin and while registering at the lodge she runs into a very nice looking man.
Barrett is sent on vacation by his boss so that perhaps he will unwind and stop making mistakes at work. He books a vacation at a lodge in the Poconos and finds himself attracted to a very nice looking lady.
Nicky and Barrett decide to have a no-strings fling while they are staying at the lodge, because for one he is a workaholic and lives in NYC and two she was jilted not that long ago and lives in Pennsylvania. But can they actually keep to that agreement? Perhaps one or both of them will want to change the rules? Read this lighthearted romance and learn the answers for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Fun, easy, and sweet are the words I would use to describe the newest book in the Holiday Springs Resort series. Each book in this series are entirely standalone books with only the setting of the resort being the same. Each book tells the story of two wonderful characters who deserve to find love and how they do just that.

In Something New, we meet Nicole and Barrett. Nicole is a jilted bride and Barret is a successful investment banker. Nicole is taking her honeymoon alone while Barrett has been told he needs to take a vacation to clear his head before heading back to his high-pressure job. They come together by chance as they check into the resort and find the distraction they both needed. It is no surprise that sparks fly and feelings grow but this is a fling. Once they leave the resort, their lives will go back to the normal that they left behind.

Something New is a perfect winter season book. I love this entire series and especially this book. The book is not very long but I did not want it to end. Pick up your own

Nicole is a romance author who has her fiance jilting her on their wedding day, so she decided to head out to the Resort they were going to go to after the wedding & the place I want to chill in real life. Barrett is a workaholic who is forced to take some leave & he ends up at that same resort. Could it be fate?! The moment he sees Nicole, he feels a pull towards her & can't stop thinking about her. These two have a great deal of chemistry that pops and that's a great thing because it's that type that won't be denied for long, however, she's legit on the rebound so I do wish Something New was longer. I'm a HUGE fan of B. Ivy Woods at & her very talented writing style so I'll never get enough of it which is probably why I'm complaining about the length LOL! Anyway, I really hope y'all will pick this up & her other books as well! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Even though I haven't read the other books in this series I really liked this book. I have read other books by this author and she is becoming a favorite. I have to admit this is the first romance novel I have read that was written by her but I thoroughly enjoyed it. You might find this next comment to be a little strange but I found her love scenes to be "tasteful" not bordering on becoming "obscene" as some authors tend to do. Sex is wonderful with the right partner but some authors really get carried away but this author makes it feel really special - which it really is. The couple in this book, Nicole and Barrett ARE special. I highly recommend this book - I know you will enjoy it as much as I did. Give it a try.

4 star reviews Something New (Holiday Springs Resort #7) by B.Ivy Woods

What I have loved the most about the Holiday Springs Resort series is that I have found so many new authors to read.

When romance author Nicole Ford is left at the altar, she decides to go on her planned honeymoon to Holiday Springs anyway.

Barrett Pierce, an investment banker from New York is trying to sort his life out and has chosen Holiday Springs.

Neither of them were looking for romance, but the chemistry that sizzles between them when they meet is too hard to ignore.

Something New is an entertaining, heart warming read that had me invested from the first to the last chapter.

The characters were easy to relate too and when time permits I will look at other books by

B. Ivy Woods is a new author to me but I’ve read a couple other books in the Holiday Springs Resort series. I do like that this book could be read as a standalone if you’d not read any others and still not be lost.

And what a book?! I thought this was a great story and loved that both Nicole and Barrett were so relatable. Not perfect and had problems but were not so angsty or woo is me. The fact that both were not looking for love but yet it found them, that’s real life. When you’re not looking it’s going to smack you upside the head and say, “Here I Am!!” 😊 Highly recommend this book!

I received an ARC via Bookfunnel but the opinion expressed is my own and freely given.

Barrett. This was a great book and great addition to this series.

This was such a wonderful romance. I found the storyline easy to get caught up in and the characters extremely likable. Frankly, this is the type of book that gives you all the feels you could ask for, while delivering them in a very genuine manner. This makes both the book and this couple easy to fall for. A truly wonderful read that is the perfect blend of heartfelt, cute, sweet and emotional. I'm electing to post a forthright review.

This was another great offering from this series! Nicole is a romance author who gets jilted at the altar. Barrett is burned out business man who was forced to take a vacation. They meet at Holiday Springs where Nicole was supposed to be on her honeymoon. They hit it off right away and they had a ton of chemistry together. I really enjoyed reading their journey to happiness!

Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done ❤️

Something New takes the scenic route. Through the detours of life and the heartache of love, Woods takes emotions on quite an adventure. Nicole and Barrett are an ever evolving life lesson. Each thought they had everything until the ground fell out from under them. When fate sees fit to show them the way, will the bumps in their pasts keep them from taking a risk of the heart? Woods is a versatile voice in a sometimes stagnant genre. She aims for the heart and lands right on target.

A Fling at Holiday Springs!

This was one of those feel good narratives which couldn't be put down. I loved it! From the wonderful characters and their great chemistry to the very interesting and plausible plot, I kept reading to see how it would end. The only thing that kept me from rating it five stars was a few places that needed to be proofread better. Nevertheless, I gave it two thumbs up!

Something New by B Ivy Woods is part of the Holiday Springs Resort series and is a touching story of two people not looking for love falling in love when and where they least expected to.  A sweet love story that felt relatable and realistic, with characters who I could understand and want a happy ending for.  Truly an enjoyable read.

Enjoyable holiday read

The book had a nice cadence and was fun. Although their first encounter was only days, there was still the seeds of a budding relationship. What I particularly like is that they didn’t jump into the hea straight away. They gave themselves space to miss each other in real life, they then took time to build. If I have one complaint it’s that we didn’t get to read about that part.

"Springing" Into A New Love

Not quite jilted at the alter, but still jilted, Nicole was upset but not devastated by her loss. A few months later, she opted to go on her "honeymoon" at Holiday Springs Resort where she met Barrett and the attraction was instant. This was a nice story.

Somehow i mistakenly overlooked this book thinking i had read it. When I tell you that was a big mistake this book was so heartfelt, suspenseful even considering neither main character was looking for romance. Nicole was at the lodge because she had been jilted. Then Barrett and his career screw up whew. This series has been awesome.

I received an advance copy of this book for my HONEST review which I've happily given.

Something New is the final book in the Holiday Springs Resort series. This is a quick holiday romance. For the most part I enjoyed it. I did like the characters and enjoyed their chemistry. It was an easy fit. I just wish the story was a little longer and I had more of the couple together. I highly recommend this one as well as the series overall.
