Orlando Cruz wakes to the surprise of a lifetime when a baby is left at his doorstep with an anonymous note stating he’s the father. Even more surprising is how quickly and easily his heart is open to the idea. A positive paternity test later, and the onetime bed-hopping bad boy is suddenly fumbling through raising a baby on his own.
A Difficult Choice
Danica knew giving up the baby would be the hardest thing she’d ever have to do, but she hadn’t anticipated how devastating a toll it would take on her. She’ll do whatever it takes to have him in her life again, in any way possible.
The Baby Whisperer
As luck would have it, the new temp receptionist at Orlando’s auto shop is also a child therapist student. After one phone call where she effortlessly saves the day, he and the baby need her in their lives. No surprise, Orlando falls for her just as fast as his son seems to. He’s soon envisioning life with his new perfect little family.
Until the truth about her real motive surfaces, threatening his imagined happily ever after.

Labor of love and totally worth it! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED writing this one. I was afraid at first but, I'm good now. Hope y'all love it as much I loved writing it!
This is the next installment of the Boyle Height's Series but could totally be read as a standalone without trouble. If you are up for a good single dad story with a twist this is your read. Super characters that will draw you in and have you ooh and aww ing.
Orlando goes from bad boy, bed hopping hunk to single dad overnight pretty much. As much as baby O was a shock to him, he stepped up from the very beginning and puts protective to another level. With the help of his mom, friends and business partners he is getting by but really needs to find a nanny so he can get life organized.
Danica had to do the hardest thing she will ever have to do by leaving baby O to his father. She knew it was the right place for him to be but she wasn't sure how she was going to survive with out the little guy. Her life is anything but simple and she still has a long way to go, working to rid the past and move forward. When she finds herself not one but two jobs and regular access to her little Oreo she is over the moon.
With the help of the baby whisperer Orlando thinks he just might be able to do this. He never expected to feelings that Danica brings forward. Will they both be able to leave the past behind and move forward? Or will the truth the past holds be enough to break their little bubble and tear them apart?

It's been a long time since I've read a book by Elizabeth Reyes. After reading Orlando and Danica's story I don't plan to wait that long again to catch up with some of her great writing. A very enjoyable story.
I love everything Elizabeth writes!! I love her even more when babies are involved. This book was so good it had humor, angst, swoon moments with O. I'm so excited for next book!!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Orlando and I am thanking my lucky stars for it! We have been waiting two years for this book? I mean I fell in love with Orlando when we got the teaser of the first chapter at the back of Nine's book, I didn't think I could love him even more, but I did I so did. Honestly Orlando can by my baby daddy any day if the week lol.
I don't like spoilers so I am going to try and review this without. I didn't think I could like the lead character Danica because um hello... Baby?... Doorstep??! But Elizabeth was able to concoct a story line that explains and makes you understand and love her. It was Also refreshing not having to deal with any cheating and big misunderstandings. I mean don't get me wrong there are some but what I love about these characters is that they actually talk to one another! They don't just assume things and run away with it.
Orlando... What can I say about Orlando?? Who doesn't like a man that takes on his responsibility and loves as cares for his kid?? Hello ovary explosion!
There might have been some parts of the storyline that I would have liked more of an explanation but it wasn't paramount to the storyline, that's just me wanting more of the book itself. Here is me crossing my fingers for a novella in the future that shows the next step in these two lives
Thank you Elizabeth! I know this book was a labor of love and it shows! I can't wait for what comes next!! ❤
Orlando by Elizabeth Reyes Boyle Heights Series Book Four Orlando Cruz is doing well. He's part owner of a garage with his buddies, Nine and Beast, and business is good. One morning he wakes up to a present left on his doorstep and his whole life changes.
Danica was brokenhearted when she had to give the baby up that she had pretty much raised his first three-plus months of life. But she had no choice. She had to bring him to the father and then find a way to be able to see him sometimes.
Anything based on lies is not a good thing, and that was where Danica was. She had so many things to hide. So much to lose by telling the truth, and yet, more to lose if the truth was found out another way. A lose/lose situation. Great story-line and characters. **Sexual content and language. https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...
Elizabeth's male characters are intense and head strong and get very jealous. This book was more emotional than it was intense. There was a lot of internal struggles going on with this book as the characters worked through things. A little lighter on the in your face intensity than some of her other books, but still very very good.
I probably would have enjoyed this book more if I read it years ago when I read the rest in the series. The book started very slow. I kelt waiting for something to happen. Once it finally did it was so rushed. I was like ummm thats it?!?!
Orlando is such a sweetheart and he’s now one of my favorites. Loved the storyline and drama plus the added humor. I could see his face as was trying to figure out what was wrong with the baby
Danica has such a huge heart and is so resilient I was rooting for her from the beginning. The way the story was unveiled was done really well. Dani has been through a lot in her young life and I’m glad she got her happy ending. The book was very emotional due to Dani’s strong connection to the baby, but it is not a heavy read. The romance was sweet too and Orlando was a protective and possessive Alpha without being overboard or disrespectful. Dani even had her own funny moments of being annoyed at a woman flirting with him. Orlando was such a sweetheart, so loving and understanding and supportive. He was a great dad. The mystery of Dani’s relationship to the baby and why the baby was left and how Orlando would find out everything kept me turning the page.
Dani made a tough decision and it broke her heart and was hoping to change that asap. O's life changed one day when he found a baby on his door step. And if you want to find out how did that happened, well get the book and start reading and hope you love it as much as I did..😍
This is another magnificent book from this author the characters just leap of the page and you can imagine the scenes taking place before your eyes ... this is another not be missed I have read everything written by this author ...
Orlando is a book that I had thought been written and was upset to find out it wasnt. I waited a year for this book!.
This book is about a bad boy (Orlando) who finds a baby at his door step that is 'presumably' his, his life takes a turn, that he shocking doesn't hate. Life has been harder for the women who left the baby at the baby fathers door, she is distraught and is finding it harder to move on from the baby.
I have had many feelings about this book, I really loved the how Orlando turned out to be with his baby, especially with his bad boy ways. He was what ever son/daughter would want in there father. I didn't like Danica at the beginning I couldn't fathom with someone who would drop a baby in a unsafe place. However, it was nice to see her being redeemed, with the problems shes also facing in her own life, which is sad to see. I really loved how the author wrote Danica's knowledge about the baby, it just let us know that what she did wasn't on malicious intent.
I did feel that she was let go quite easily that annoyed me, Orlando didn't make a drama, or put her into any trouble which made it feel she got away with it very easily. As what she did wasn't a safe thing to do. Especially, when she also, lied and had a lot of things to hide.
I did expect more, especially a fight or an argument (not only with Orlando), it went quiet smoothly which put me off a bit, and the only thing I had a problem with, other than that, I really loved it, Guess I expected a bit more drama.
I would recommend this to those who like an easy read, happy endings and a bad boy with a baby.
We fans of Elizabeth have been on tenterhooks waiting for Orlando (no stress Elizabeth we understood why) and it was worth the wait!
If you had read the previous Boyle Heights you’d know what to expect with Orlando’s storyline.
Personally Orlando seemed more mellow than ERs previous alphas, (but that’s ok 👍🏼 loved him just the same) he still displayed it because Danika has a questionable past that’s got his juices roaring.
Danika, where to begin, I wasn’t totally sold on her to begin with, she seemed flighty and her connection had me all was she, wasn’t she 🤔🤔🤔. But it was all eventually revealed.
Gotta say Orlando big cahoonas to you dude, I would have been pissed with Danika and her baggage.
I’m excited to see what else ER has for us in the future, and send her all the writing mojo 😄
3.5 stars rounded down to 3. That's mean, I know. But I felt a little let down by this book and 4 stars doesn't seem right. There were some things I loved about this book (the baby on the doorstep bit). The way Dani was written into Oreo's life was unique and I bought it. I just felt that, as usual, Reyes' couple went from 0-100 VERY quickly and the I love you's caught me off guard, they were so sudden. Also there is a TON of build up to the big reveals, but most of it was anti climactic and Orlando handled everything far more calmly than I would have expected. There was no big bang in this book (which I was expecting), more like a few little puffs of smoke. The whole thing was all talk and no action which left me feeling underwhelmed, even though the characters are all likable and I liked their cute little family dynamic.
I really loved Orlando and Danica’s story. The whole background story that led Danica to Orlando was interesting and kept me on my toes. So many secrets, that she had a hard time keeping. I loved that she couldn’t lie to him. They had an instant connection and amazing chemistry. I loved his alpha ways. I enjoyed all of the drama going on in her life and how she was getting through it. Baby O was the star of the show. Great read all around.
This might be a case of its me not you. I didnt connect with this book. I love single dad books but this didn’t keep me engaged. Skimming became a theme. So wordy for so much of the book with very little substance.
Orlando co-owns a mechanics shop, but one day someone leaves a baby at his doorstep with a letter claiming the baby is his. His days of being a player are over. His son is now his number one priority. Things get crazy from there. It ends with a nice happily ever after though after all the drama.
The only thing I liked about this book was that no one pulled a cell phone out of a holster. I love Elizabeth Reyes but this book was hands down her worst. The only like able character was Nine.
