Oh, Miami, how much you have lost. Knowing what this city once was makes me more glad to spend time here, but I wish I had known the Miami of the early 20th century, when it had the largest number of homes in the country using solar power, when it had not yet grown so far into the Everglades, when high-rises did not yet clog its coasts.
