While Quincy and her quirky senior citizen sidekick try to remedy the problem, they're also helping a new intern circumvent some primadonna high school bullies. Unfortunately, Quincy has plenty of experience trying to do just that as she's reminded of her past when an old teammate waltzes in.
When the biggest bully at the school is murdered, Quincy is unwittingly pulled into the mosh pit. Can she help her friends beat the rap while expelling the persecutor of her past?
If you like cozy mysteries with a bit of adventure, a touch of romance and laugh out loud fun, you'll love Annie Adams' latest tango with murder.
Annie Adams is the author of THE FINAL ARRANGEMENT, book one in The Flower Shop Mystery series. She lives with her husband, two giant dogs, and two too giant cats in Northern Utah at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. When not writing she can be found arranging flowers or delivering them in her own Zombie Delivery Van.
Since I had the feeling from the very get go because there were so many hints, I'm sort of ok with how this book ended, but at the same time I hate it because a very important person was left out of the "secret." But, now we know another book will follow for this series. So, yay.
I'm sorry to admit that I'm happy about who the victim was in this. Vile people are good for going up against the hero in a read, but I also like when they're removed.
This kept me guessing as to whodunnit, but I had my suspicion as to who the killer was.
Can't wait for book 6 when the secret is revealed!
This has been a fun series that I've enjoyed ever since reading the first book. I like most of the recurring characters, and it's been fun watching relationships - personal, work and community - grow and change as the series progressed.
The identity of the murder victim didn't surprise me at all, nor that there were so many suspects to think about. I kept changing my mind about who the primary suspect was until a certain point in the story where one character began to stand out. I was right about that, but I would not have figured out the motive if it wasn't explained during the reveal.
This is the last book in the series, which is frustrating. There are incomplete story lines, and a big bombshell dropped at the end of this book for which readers will get no resolution.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Quincy McKay mystery. There are lots of twists and surprises and some angst with her budding relationship with the detective Alex Cooper. The characters in this book are quite eclectic. Many moments are filled with humor as well due to the characters. The author has created a terrific series. A five star book! I am very disappointed that this was the final book in the series. I also didn’t feel the author did a good job tying up all the loose ends. The final sentence ended the book in somewhat of a cliffhanger.
I enjoyed this series by Annie Adams. The stories take place in Utah and Quincy Adams McKay, a flower shop owner/operator, is the main protagonist. She meets many people in her line of work; some of them are murderers, some are thieves, and some are bullies. Quincy has a knack for unmasking murderers and evil-doers.
It's a delightful, easy-to-read cozy. I liked that each story didn't have a murder in the plot but might have a crime or crime spree to solve.
Have read most of the series and love to visit and get lost in the fun and the mysteries. Very enjoyable and keeps you wondering what will happen next. I actually did figure it out but well, let’s just say it was a second or two before they pretty much told us...Atleast I figured it out...hahahaha. This is a fun mystery that really should read
I've really enjoyed all of the books in this series. The characters are grea and there are always laughable parts that I enjoy along with the mystery. Definitely a must read if you enjoy cozy mysteries.
I have fallen even more in love with all the characters in this series, human and otherwise. Love it. Not too complicated but twisty enough to keep my attention. A couple of typos but not enough to spoil the book.
Having family by marriage in the Istanbul business, I was exhausted trying to think of any of them solving a murder mystery in the midst of prom season. Interesting plot twists. Worth the continued read in this series.
Series was okay, don’t really get how these are all tied together other than the characters. Book jumps all over the place, random things added that aren’t really needed. Book was rushed and the ending was a cliff hanger. Kinda disappointed, curious if she will continue this series.
This whole series is great. I wish there was more. Maybe someday there will be. I highly recommend the whole series. They are page turners. And you'll definitely laugh.
Quincy is a great character, a hard working business owner with a big heart, a true friend and has a sixth sense when things are not as they seem. In this story she is trying to save prom night for the local high school when she finds a mean spirit teacher/ administrator's dead body. The story is original, well written with several interesting people to follow along with her employees, family, fiancée, and local town residents. Part of a series, the book is also a stand alone. I had read the first two in the series only and didn't feel lost in the characters' development. I am looking forward to reading the next one.
