Kat Walsh was on the fast track with her career when one phone call changed it all. Now she is without a home and without a job, and the pressure from her brother to provide for their mother’s medical care is greater than ever. Navy SEAL Tristin Knight has retired from service and is ready for the vision of his company, Knight Security and Investigations, to come to fruition. To the public eye, KSI is a run-of-the mill private investigations firm. To an elite few, the company employs the best military-trained individuals to tackle cases government and law enforcement agencies can’t touch. A critical piece to his company’s success is hiring a computer analyst to support his teams in the field. Kat Walsh barges in with the knowledge and skills to do the job, but it's her beauty and sass that makes Tristin want to keep her close. Though he knows the risk of seducing his employee, Tristin is unable to stay away from her. Kat falls in love with her new job and doesn’t want to risk losing it, especially over a man whose very reputation with the ladies earned him the nickname of Tryst. But she can’t fight his charm, no matter how hard she tries to resist. Just as they find their way to each other, Kat is drawn back to her past. When it all comes crashing down around her, Tristin and his team step in to bring Kat back to KSI – and Tristin - where she belongs.

Navy SEAL Tristin Knight has a plan to run a Agency KSI that is until Kat Walsh just blows in and turns his life inside out. With no job and a mother who is ill, she over hears that they are hiring and somehow manganese to get the job, and somehow she and Tristin become close. Her brother manages to get her into a lot of trouble and gets her arrested. What follows is absolutist gut wrenching and somehow Tristin and his men and woman manage to solve the mystery. Can't wait to read the other books in the series
Knight's Haven (Knights of KSI Book 1) by Shelley Justice a new to me author is an exciting book that I read in one sitting. A great start to what I’m guessing is going to be an awesome series.
The first book in Shelley Justice's KSI series is about new beginnings for both the hero Tristin Knight and the heroine Kat Walsh. Homeless due to circumstances beyond her control, very much alone and frustrated with her life, Kat takes a chance by boldly asking for a job at KSI. Tristin is instantly attracted to the beautiful and intelligent Kat and hires her on the spot, much to his team's consternation. It is here in this environment of trust and loyalty that Kat discovers she finally belongs, and for Tristin, he finally puts aside his wandering ways with the ladies and finds what he's been searching for. Threats lurk, but not the kind you would first assume. Well worth the read!
Tristan and Kat's story is so well written. This is the first book in the Knights of KSI series and I could not put it down. I loved how the author introduced all the new characters and then brought them all together to solve a case. This romantic suspense will keep you guessing and the action will keep you engaged and turning the page. I look forward to book 2 to learn more about this great team.
What a great story!! I really enjoyed Tryst and Kat's initial meeting, well written and enjoyable. From there it's a can't put down read. Glad I had time because once I started I couldn't stop until I was done. First time reading Shelley but definitely won't be the last. Next read will be the next book in this series. I recommend this book.
Knight’s Haven is book 1 in Shelley Justice Knights of KSI series. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to next one on the Knights if KSI series.
Shelley Justice has a fantastic debut novel! The action jumps off the page and Kat and Tristin's chemistry is off the charts. With such a well-rounded story, I also found myself reaching for a tissue more than once. The entire cast of characters leaves me excited for the upcoming books.
What a wild ride! This is an amazing love story that will certainly carry you right along. Kat is so relatable and you will root for her from the beginning!
I absolutely loved this book and I will definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves romantic suspense novels. She is a new writer for me and she is an amazing writer!
So the main complaint about this book. It’s 172 pages long, but it’s double spaced, so it’s actually only 82 pages. In 82 pages, the author crams in way too much and it totally lost it about halfway through. The beginning of the book is quite good. Kat is living in her car and trying to find work, when she overhears about a job vacancy. She basically forces her way into Tristan’s office who owns the company. Rather unbelievably he offers her a job, without checking her references or finding out her home address. Then they just leave her too it. At a firm that is going to be handling classified missions??? Hmm 🤔 yeah I don’t think so.
When Tristan finds out that she’s homeless, he makes her stay at his house, and of course they end up in bed. Within weeks they’re in a committed relationship and she’s living there?? Woah. Way too fast.
After that the plot gets really silly, and I’m disappointed as it was good at first. Very unbelievable but still good.
This is a first book, first in a series and first for a new author. Kate is desperate for a new job, when she over hears about a security company needing a person with her skills. Tristin is building his company from the bottom up, when a girl rushes into his office saying she’s perfect for the job, one look and he thinks she’s perfect for him. I enjoyed this story a lot and can’t wait for more of this series and to watch the growth of a new author.
I read this in two short amazing hours--- I loved the instant love connection but also the other themes Shelley threaded throughout--> honesty, integrity, how family isn't always about blood, supporting the people you care about. Also tearjerker trigger warning if you have as strong of a connection/relationship with your mother/mother figure as I do. Love that there are 8 more books to read in this series and cannot wait to read them!
This is my first book to read by Shelly Justice. I enjoyed the book a lot with all the twist and turns! I’m looking forward to reading the second book in the series, KNIGHT’S RESCUE.
Loved the interaction between the characters and Tristan and Kat were gorgeous. If you like suspense with a bit of mystery then this book gives you all of that and more. highly recommend .
The characters in the book pull you in. You really get to know them, and that is what I like in books. I highly recommend reading this book and the others in the series!
