Lockdown Lover

Rate this book
Nora thought she had it all. The high powered job in the city. The office with a view. Life was perfect.

Violet thought she had it all. A business that was booming. A big slobbery dog who was her roommate and coworker. Life was perfect.

Neither woman had time to think about what she might be missing. They were too busy with work. Though they did have the glance they shared every morning as Nora was heading off to work and Violet was heading in from walking Arnold.

Then the whole world changed.

A virus. A lockdown. Businesses closing and people working stuck at home.

As the world turns upside down two neighbors are going to become each other's only refuge, and as the lockdown wears on they might just discover something real that's been missing from their workaholic lives!

Lockdown Lover is a 50,000 word lesbian romance about two workaholics coming together in unprecedented historical times to discover what really matters!

This romance, set during the Covid-19 pandemic, is rife with sardonic humor. Between the pandemic and Violet's extremely difficult relationship with her mother there are some very dark themes. Still, the main characters muddle through two infections and ultimately come out smiling. Their verbal sparring is fun to read and they seem like a very good match. Overall a good, if a little brief, read.

COVID love ...

Wonderful story of two women finding each other during trying times. Between hospital stays, a crazy homophobic mother, and isolation their love grew and made a commitment to each other. Well developed characters and plot ... a good read in these catastrophic times. I heartily recommend this and any other works by this author. Thank you Peace

Loved it

This is the story of two women who were neighbours, but only started talking during the present pandemic. It is a lovely romance story that is well written with good dialogue to keep you interested throughout the book.

Good, and topical, story

An entertaining look at an all too real topic for all of us,with some geek humor and political jabs tossed in. A fine diversion from the day to day isolation of our modern society.

I received an ARC copy of this book.

Enjoyable!

This was an enjoyable read other than the mistakes that god editing should have caught. Otherwise, this was a good book that, if errors were corrected, I'd recommend for your must read list.
