After everything they’ve been through, Alex and Toury deserve a happily ever after, but being king proxy is not all it’s cracked up to be. Alex inherited a world divided by his father, including incensed rebels—and a rogue dragon on the loose!—but the most pressing issue is Toury. Though he chose his kingdom over her and hurt her, by the god and goddess, he loves her too much to let her go. But can he ever do enough to deserve her? Toury is a shell of her former self and grappling to figure out who—in this still-alien world—she will become. Her relationship is a hot mess, nightmares plague her, and rooting out necromancers is more than overwhelming—not to mention family baggage. Becoming queen means overcoming her past and seeing Alex for the man he is and not the cursed monster who destroyed their love. Rebels, dragons, and betrayals galore are just another day of court life. Toury and Alex managed to save the world, but can they repair a torn kingdom while their personal lives are in shambles?

On a planet far, far away, where dragons and special powers exist, two young lovers are about to face betrayal, doubt and the greatest test of their love they could have imagined. Can Toury overcome her self-doubt? Can Alex carry the mantel of power in a world divided by hatred and fear? Will his position and his legacy come between what they have struggled to build?

DRACA by Lisa Borne Graves has all of the tension and passions of young love in a world where Toury doesn’t quite belong and Alex must think of his kingdom first and can only hope he hasn’t destroyed his personal life. Written with that young adult, fast-paced feeling, there are probably moments that are more suited to older teens. Feel the strength of the dragons, the politics of the Royal court, the danger of the rebels and both the betrayal and loyalty of family come to life as discoveries are made, old fears must be laid to rest and a new world must be built in order to survive.

A rapid-fire, high-energy read that is the perfect addition to the Celestial Spheres series! Let your imagination carry you into another great reading escape!

I received a complimentary copy from Lisa Borne Graves! This is my honest and voluntary review.

A fantastical adventure in the world of Fyr that will keep you wanting more!

This is the sequel to Lisa Borne Graves's fantasy, Fyr. Toury and Alex may have defeated the necromancers, but there are new enemies on the horizon and they are waiting for an opportunity to usurp the throne from our hero and heroine.

Royals, romance, necromancers, rebels, magic, and dragons... Lisa Borne Graves delivers all of this and more with Draca! If you enjoyed Fyr, then you're going to LOVE this one!

Draca, the sequel to Fyr, does not disappoint.
Normally I’m a fan of science fiction and dystopian fiction, but Lisa Borne Graves enticingly brings the social commentary of these two genres to the fantasy realm with this series. Themes of feminism, civil rights, and economic equality make for a profound read. The magic and the romance keep me reading, and the themes keep me thinking. I eagerly await the next book.

I love the world building, and the characters were interesting. However the writing at times was exceptionally melodramatic. It was just too over the top when it came to the relationship between the main characters. Otherwise the story was enjoyable, if one can stomach the gushiness.
