Orean Warlords #2

The Alien Warlord’s Obsession

Rate this book
I’m not going to surrender to a hunky alien male…

I can’t go back to Earth and that’s a relief. Sure, being kidnapped by aliens is far from ideal, but now I’m a galaxy away from my violent stalker of an ex and I couldn’t be happier. The other women with me don’t feel the same. And they all seem ready to find alien protectors to keep them safe. Me? I’ll never submit to a guy again, no matter how alluring I find X’oran.

I’ve learned my lesson: love is nothing but a trap, and I refuse to place myself in danger.

I must protect my stubborn fated mate…

I can’t let my mate make me look weak, but fighting the bond is pointless. I’m determined to keep her safe, even if it means protecting her from herself. When an enemy attacks and leaves us stranded in the wilderness, we’ll need to work together if we are going to survive.

I have no time for love, but watching J’enny awakens things in me I’ve never felt before. How can I convince her that we belong together?

If you like stories about possessive aliens and feisty heroines, with complex captor dynamics, action, and steamy scenes, you’ll adore this sci-fi alien romance novel with a HEA!

Each book in the series is a standalone with a guaranteed happily ever after for the couple, though it is recommended to read them in order for maximum enjoyment.

I was looking for something different to read and came across Aline Ash. This intriguing story is a dark Sci-fi romance. I love that anything goes in sci fi books. There is lots of action, Humans being kidnapped and alien alphas who can't help but fall in love.

Worth the read.

This entertaining Sci-Fi alien romance will keep the reader on the edge of their seat from the first page all the way until the end & it can be read as a standalone. The plot is well-written & entertaining with some intense moments, good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are well-developed & individually they are quite unique but there is a fair amount of distrust between them until the attractions begin to flare.
There is: a feisty young human female (Jenny) who was abducted with other women is determined to resist the strange attraction between an Orean warrior (Commander X’oran) & herself when the two of them are trapped on a small moon (Mon Alto) during a rescue mission ordered by his king (S’orraj), adventure, action, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, despicable Raxian aliens, Orean warriors, human females, fated mates, Raxian rebels, rebellion, deceit, betrayal, traitors, danger, threats, confrontations, violence, conflict, frustration, emotional turmoil, doubts, complications, deceit, betrayal, traitors, a rescue, surprises, contentment, love, some steam & a satisfying happy conclusion for this couple with a exceptionally intriguing glimpse of the next book in this series.

X'oran, a Commander who understands tactics and strategy...

How can I not love this Alien Commander who acknowledges he understands war, strategies and tactics, but struggles with basic conversation, and most challenging of all, the dreaded 'small talk'. Perhaps he could hide his deficiencies if he and Jenny weren't the last two beings stranded on this moon, with no shelter, supplies, or communications systems.

Jenny was in a relationship on Earth... was... past tense for a darn good reason. She's looking for a nice, calm, peaceful, some might say boring future - who sees an Alien military Commander and thinks "aha! Just what Jenny ordered", not her!

Sometimes we have to put aside expectations, as well as hopes and dreams, and look at what actually is... both to see it, and appreciate it. That's when the real magic can begin.

This done in one quick read is part of a larger narrative, but stands solidly on its own. The pages after the story mention who gets the next book... and I'm delighted by the choice, it's one of the two women I most hoped for, and the Alien King, who I was hoping would meet his match. Can't wait to read it.

What a tale of love, strength and perseverance through adversity. X'oran made fun of V';orin when he and Lisa developed the S'ulin Kara bond. So when X';oran met Jenny he was shocked, not only that she was his S';ulin Kara, but that she rejected him. Jenny';s been through so much that she's sworn off men. Their journey to survive after being stranded on the moon and learning that all men aren't like her ex, has her reevaluating rejecting X'oran. They've both had losses in their lives and need love to fill those voids. This story was so much more emotionally traumatic than the last one, it touched on a lot of issues that women have with their partners, trust, empowerment feelings of self worth, etc. I found if very endearing, even while it satisfied all the action, adventure and erotic entertainment that I desire. a really great read.

Very entertaining, slow burning alien adventure with a great plot complete with a sassy human female and a super hot Alien. The story revolves around Jenny who was happy to be away from earth who ends up being stranded on a planet with X'oran, an Orean Commander while on a mission for the King. X'oran was stunned when he met Jenny, and he realizes that she is his mate, Jenny on the other hand has had enough drama, hurt and betrayal from men and she is adamant to resist the strange attraction between them. The book is action packed with suspense, adventure, teamwork, trust building and intense chemistry.

The author did an amazing job highlighting and describing the emotions and feelings between Jenny and X'oran and their growing attraction to each other. The supporting characters and relationships between them were realistic and well done. I loved this book can't wait to read more by this author.

Very exciting story. X'oran has been ordered by King S'orraj to rescue the other human females that are stranded on a small moon called Mon Alto. X'oran isn't happy about being taken from his duty and the war with the Raxian's. Once there he meets Jenny and one of his men tells him that his eyes are turning gold> There is plenty of action when they get attacked and his team leaves the moon and think that Jenny and X'oran are dead. Now start the fun. There is action, adventure, danger, fated mates, intrigue, emotional baggage that Jenny has, fear, betrayal, complications and passion/lust and love. I love how their relationship evolves from uncertainty to respect and then love. There's more to the story but you need to read it and find out for yourself. I love the lead to the next book. Perfect ending. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

For Jenny, being kidnapped by aliens at least has one positive effect – It gets her away from her stalker ex. While the other kidnapped women were looking around for a protector, Jenny was stubbornly refusing the help of any male, not even X’oran.

When an enemy attacks and leaves X’oran and Jenny stranded in the wilderness, it will take the both of them working together to survive. It looks like Fate just might have some plans for them! Will they grow closer as they spend this time alone and looking out for each other? Will Jenny learn there are some men you really can trust, even if they’re on another planet?

This is a well-written story with strong characters the reader can respect. Grab your copy and see if their partnership works out to get them through this.

The writing duo of Aline Ash and Athena Aston are fast moving up to my must read authors list and this book only adds to that decision. They know how to write a book with storytelling and world building that puts you right in the middle of their stories. Their characters are so delightfully flawed that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. X'oran and Jenny's story is one of learning to survive after tragedy in your life and deciding to give love a second chance. This book has everything that you could want; comedy, action, drama, conflict and of course hot romance. You will be sorry if you miss and books in this series but this book is a true gem.

This actually studies a problem with instant love and fated mates: you just bypassed the important things that make the best relationships. How do you love somebody that you don't really know? Where is mutual respect? Where is choice?! So our fated mates here are a commitment-phobe and a dismissive stranger. They learn to work together, recognize, and trust each other. Awesome!

Peculiarly, the logic and dialogue got... reiterative. Someone would explain something in the first 1-2 sentences, then plod through the process in the next 2-4 sentences as if they were JUST NOW reaching the conclusion they started the conversation with!

Jenny and other girls are abducted, rescued and stranded on Mon Alto. X'oran and crew are sent to rescue them, but he and Jenny get stranded there. His eyes changing to gold means he has found his mate... and it has happened. Jenny trusts no one, but now they must work together to survive. Good things come to those who read to the end of this book. The characters are terrific and their struggles are deeply ingrained in them. The romance is slow but gets a lot hotter. Could not put it down until the end and am looking forward to the next book in the series.

X’Oran led his men to rescue the earth women that were still left on stranded. But while trying to evacuate they were set upon by their enemies. Jenny and X’Oran were left for dead while the others escaped. As X’Oran realized Jenny was his fated mate he had the problem of convincing a reluctant Jenny while they tried to survive on an exciting and interesting adventure with wildlife, enemies betrayers and the tug of love. Fun read

I love this series so far. There is a touch of humor to everything, with plenty of action and adventure, sweet romance, and hot sexy scenes. The heroine is a survivor of domestic abuse and stalking and it colors her entire life. The hero is a war commander who grew up an orphan and his life has also been irrevocably altered. These two rescue each other in every possible way and watching love bloom between them is a slow burn that is magical.

Love comes in all forms

The heart want what the heart wants. Jenny first thought she wanted to get back to earth, but what for. Maybe their is something to this fated mate thing. But can she trust someone with her heart again. What if X'oran is like her ex Matthew. I guess you will have to click to find out. This book touch on abuse, the lost of parents, stalking, and war. Oh. Yeah we still have a traitor at Orean. This does end with a HEA.

It was a very entertaining read but it was dragging. The author did not have to stretch the characters time together on the deserted planet that long. If the story was kept shorter, it would have been an awesome read. I still cannot wait to read the rest of the stories.

I enjoyed reading this book! X'oran is an alien alpha male, he plays by the rules and Jenny is a human with a hard past and will never trust or let a man rule over her again. Fate has other plans as they get stranded and have to work together and trust each other to survive.

The main characters, Jenny and X’oran are not your usual couple but that doesn’t seem to stop their attraction to each other despite how much they fight it. This is an enjoyable and entertaining read with lots going on from drama to humor. The authors have done a great job world and character building.

This book was not all wine and roses (although there are a couple very special roses) for our main characters, Jenny and X'oran. They have an almost insurmountable set of obstacles to overcome, but oh was it worth it in the end. There were far more twists than I saw coming and that made me like this book all the more.

Soooo Much Better than Book 1 in the Series

X’Oran and Jenny’s story is an exciting read. X’Oran is a big, big, strong, silent hottie with a scruff. Jenny is recovering from an abusive stalker relationship, trying to find confidence and her inner strength. Left behind, they must become a team to survive.
An exciting SFR.
