Imprisoned Obsession

Rate this book
“Deny me, and you will never be forgiven, darling girl.”

He’s violent, selfish, and obsessive.

Elio, a man with means and wealth, planned Willa’s demise. Every calculated step into her life is a necessary evil to touch her naivety and curse her innocence.

The moment his amber eyes stole her breath away, Willa knew that massive man was just eerily enigmatic.

Elio was something—dangerous, surreal, and viscerally demonic.

She would soon realize how sinister Elio is, but it would be too late by then. He won’t be remorseful for manipulating her into being his good little darling.

She’s his masterpiece, a pretty little girl to feed his obsession.

Is it strange that even though this guy was a real anti hero I found something quite sexy about him? I guess for me if it is about an anti hero I prefer them to be a proper one like this one. As for heroine yes she was weak as I have found most of the heroine’s this author writes but with all the manipulation the H does in this one I can’t blame her too much. I think this book so far for me is the best one by this author. As a personal preference I don’t like the sex themes that this author normally writes D/s type that is but I found it quite easy to skip so it wasn’t a big deal. So an enjoyable read for me definitely!

fairly short, I honestly expected more! it was honestly kinda fucked up and ngl, I loved it! only it was really short and the ending was abrupt. I would've loved to see their relationship progress and not go from 0 to 100 in a minute

(She didn’t care that someone else went down for something she did or that she put her victims through a blazingly torturous death.)

He made her burn people! Kids!!

How is this love?
How is this is healing?
He killed her roommate
Burn her home
And then made her kill kids! What kind of sick trash is this

Both Will and Elio are broken but deal with their pain in different ways. Elio has become a collector and he always gets what he wants. He wants Willa but will he ever let her go? Fast-paced dark read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. The characters have lots of depth and the story draws you in. I loved it!

This is just an okay read for me. I think there was about 69 reading pages. Unfortunately, when the story is so short and there’s very little background and the author chooses her hero to have no redeeming characteristics the story becomes just sentences without an actual story - everything is done for shock value - how low can you go kinda thing. It all becomes too predictable and starts to feel stale and boring. The story is about Elio and Willa. Elio is determined to break her and rebuild her into a better ‘robot’ - dark with psychological coercion mixed in. I find I’m getting a bit tired of the psychopaths that these women seem to get on their knees for when these men have no goodness, or likability- I can’t figure it out - usually these characters find redemption through their unexpected love for the heroine without any of that these stories just don’t feel purposeful.

He had abducted, and then broke her and then made her stronger than before!
by sewsummore

There was no hero in this book; instead, there was an anti-hero, a man who survived a tortuous childhood to become a monster. Elio survived with a desire to succeed and a determination to make his tormenters pay. By the end of this story, he had done just that. Along the way he discovered Willa, a woman who had suffered under the same tormentors as he. As he delved into all aspects of her past and present life, Elio became obsessed with her. He would take and break her, then she would rise again stronger and more powerful than before, and she would be only his. This was a powerful, intense, and dramatic story that both shocked and amazed me. Elio was a manipulative monster who destroyed anyone that stood in his way. He was a Defence Attorney who successfully defended guilty criminals and collected wealth and favors that he used without mercy when they provided the tools and knowledge to carry out hideous acts of revenge. I found this book a compelling read. Elio was no hero. He kidnapped Willa and manipulated her emotions with fear and pain. Willa had put her tortured past behind her, she carried no physical scars, but the emotional scars ran deep. At the conclusion of this story, she was a very different woman from the one Elio had abducted, but I am not sure whether it was an improvement or not!.

Elio's way.
Willa is young, naive and trying to survive her nightmares from an abusive childhood. Elio is an extremely wealthy man. He has everything he needs to get what he wants, any way he wants. Once he has collected his obsession, he will do whatever he wants with it, for however long he so chooses. He has collected Willa. His plan is set in place for her. She now belongs to him. His childhood has made him into the monster he is. But, is he really a monster or his he building and molding his possession. Is he creating something for his future or will he get rid of her when he's tired of her or simply done? Is there good in Elio? Or simply darkness? Does he have emotions or is he delusional? What is his need to inflict pain? What is his plan for Willa? Or deep inside, does Willa have a plan for Elio? A dark, gripping read by Celia Crown. Spellbindingly holding you in a state of question. What do you truly feel regarding Elio and this path he continues to take. But not with hesitation, but with determination. What is the future to hold for Willa? Hold on readers because this book is going to take you on one helluva ride. Incredibly well written. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Consider yourself warned, if you are a sensitive reader avoid this book. Dark, gritty, suspenseful page turner with one hell of a plot.

Both Willa and Elio are complex characters with history of abuse. The character development was well done with Willa being a scared, terrified young woman, avoiding punishment by being good after suffering years of neglect, constant pain and abuse as a child and Elio a twisted anti-hero with no redeeming qualities, who suffered years before at the same hands as Willa. Elio is an unapologetic sadist and he has no remorse or concerns for anyone other than his own needs and wants, and he wants Willa and is determined to have her and make her into what he needs. He sets out doing that by kidnapping her, manipulating her and making her reliant on him. He is truly a dark and lost soul and drags Willa down the rabbit hole with him, he needs her to be there for him to keep his demons away.

A very raw, dark and heartbreaking read, as child abuse and the results are always emotional and brutal, it did prompt the question for me " do monsters raise monsters? and where does it stop?" Amazing read.

When Willa first see's Elio it's in a crowded watching her building burn his eyes blazing I to hers the next is when he takes the life of her flat mate Janice whose lying unconscious I nthe bed next to hers in hospital it's only then she realsies he must the be the arsonist as he drugs her. What Elio wants Elio gets no matter the cost, now that he has her, he wants to break her down to rebuild her as his master peice. Willa knew she could not escape this mad man so easily finding out he is a criminal defense lawyer lessened her hope's but why did he want her? Could there be an even deeper connection between them that goes back to their childhoods though decades apart?  Could they find a solace in one another? Well written dark psychological romance with dark themed manipulation. A great in depth story that uses many captivating word to draw you Into their story and keeps you engaged all the way through.

If you’re looking for a dark and twisted story, I’ve found Celia Crown to be my go to author.

Her alpha anti-H’s are unrepentant with little to no socially acceptable redeeming qualities. They’re consistent throughout the story and the ending doesn’t see them suddenly -or otherwise- changing. IMO these anti-H’s steal the show. Every. Time.

I also seem to find myself somehow surprised by how her stories unfold, and the extreme actions of these H’s. I’d run screaming from these characters if this was IRL, but riveted in a fictional story.

Elio was just what I was hoping for when I chose to read this ARC. This story was exactly was I was hoping for, and once I started there was no putting down or stopping. Celia Crown is absolutely on my watch and read list, for when I get a hankering to read this type of dark read!

Readers should absolutely pay attention, and take seriously, the authors’ trigger warnings. Her books have these for a reason.

I love the books that this author writes. I look for each new story that comes out and I've gone back and bought some of her older stories. This was so delightfully sinful and sick. These two were raised by monsters and in turn raised the children they were given to take care of into monsters. In Elio's mind she is everything that is pure and good but he knows that she was also raised the the house hole. He wants her to cleans her soul by destroying the devils they had to call parents. Willa is taken by Helo and in time even though she knew that he was dangerous she came to rely on him totally. He manipulates, conditions, and uses the Stockholm syndrome. There is violence and I totally enjoyed both characters and their attraction to each other. Very dark theme. I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed this story. It was definitely dark and had a little bit of Stockholm syndrome mixed in the story. It was steamy and had me excited and wondering what was going to happen throughout the whole story. I love Celia's stories, which are mostly dark and steamy, and this one was no different. I could not imagine myself in the position Willa was in and could not imagine caring for my captor, but while reading this story, even though Elio did some outlandish things, I still ended up liking the character. I would recommend this story to someone looking for a dark and delicious story.

This book is a dark and twisted tale of two individuals, Willa and Elio, who were victims of child abuse in their past. Elio is wealthy and collects the objects he is obsessed with including Willa. These characters are well developed and complex which reflects their childhood abuse. The storyline is dark, twisted, and addictive. This book is hard to put down until the last page. I highly recommend this novel.

Quick, enjoyable, intense and dark

Elio set his eyes on Willa and will do everything to have her, break her and build her again into his masterpiece.
I enjoyed the storyline, it was definitely dark and a bit twisted with Stockhlom syndrome and psychological manipulation mixed in.
This author is known for her unapologetic anti-heroes who have absolutely no redeeming qualities and although it’s wrong, you can’t help but love them!

There are possible triggers in this book due to the subject of child abuse that both main characters experienced. This is a delightfully dark short read that can easily be read in one sitting, which is brilliant as once I started reading, I couldn’t put the book down until I had finished it. The plot and the characters are wonderfully written.

Short, but good. Elio and Willa are the main characters. Elio is much older than Willa and has an obsession with Willa. This book is a quick and interesting read. Done with duel point of view, which is my favourite method of writing.

Elio and Willa are destined to meet, just not in the usual way. He is dark, damaged and dangerous. She is innocent of his plans for her. Then they meet and everything changes!
I loved this read. Exciting and powerful it gives a whole new way of looking at ones captor!

This book is dark. Very dark. I won’t call it a romance. The book is amazing however. Keep in mind that Elio isn’t here to be a hero for Willa. On the contrary he is here to bring her down and keep her with him forever.

4 ⭐️

She writes the best anti-heroes, the kind that truly psychotic, he doesn’t wanna be better or doesn’t CARE to be better at all even after meeting the h and it’s the truth, psychotic is not a phase, you can’t just have sympathy-empathy after meeting the love of your life (like other dark romance that proclaimed the H as psychotic 🙄), but her books are too short to dive deeper.

I could not put this book down. It was dirty and gritty, twisted and dark, and I loved it. Willa and Elio had some of the same experiences and they both were broken, but somehow they work together in an odd twisted sick way. It kept me enaged the whole way through. LOVED it!
