Aeris grew up in a small, typhoon ravaged, devoid of electricity island where everyone seemed to know everyone. Childhood days meant waking up to the wonderful smell of coffee, swimming at the beach with friends, gardening, reading, stargazing, and listening to her grandmother's folktales come bedtime.

When not reading or writing, she troops to book launches and bookish field trips with her husband, friends, and fellow book club members. She also participates in activities that encourage sick and orphaned children to read.
