Miller needs to unwind so he goes for a ride down the loneliest Highway in America, only today he comes across someone - a cocky asshole who nearly runs him off the road. Tired of people who think they can do whatever they want, Miller retaliates.
Rayne lives in the Arizona desert, free to leave her house whenever she wants, she chooses not to risk death by sweltering sun demons. Instead, she stays safely indoors with a computer and all the words she knows, slapping them together in any which way she chooses in the moment. Often gory, sometimes erotic. She loves the limitless boundaries of writing, and tends to push them toward extreme.

3.5 stars. This wasn't a bad outing at all. It was meant to be mean-spirited and angry and vicious, and it most certainly was all of those things. The best part of the story, for me, was how our lead, Miller, was written early on. He was a narcissist, but refused to acknowledge such a fact, even as his demeanor and actions and thoughts were all pointed in that direction. And Rayne Havok really focused on that all too well, doing that particular plot point, and the subsequent context, a great deal of service. Things sort of just devolved into body horror after about a third of the way in and, while it was all fine, just felt like too much of a departure from the great build up from earlier. And the ending left me a bit unsatisfied, which just put the cherry on the top of my overall experience here. Lots of good stuff in here, but the story lacked a certain level of consistency that was desperately needed.
An unusual, quirky little road rage story which sees a wronged biker take his own brand of wicked retribution against a big bad naughty trucker guy and his new live-in girlfriend (yes, there are sex bits). Obviously he takes it all very personally, perhaps due to long hours and stress levels at work, and it all ends getting totally out of hand, extreme, messy and becomes a thoroughly enjoyable, whole heap of deranged craziness.
Warning: Callousness, selfishness and good old anti-social behaviour should really all come with their own separate health warnings as you never know where they might end up leading you to - ie. It usually pays to be nice!
Great escapism - enjoyed it, but would have been even better with more events in a longer format! Rating: 3.7 stars.
This is the third book by Rayne Havok that I have read and so far she doesn't disappoint. Every book makes me just go what the fuck and to me that's always good. This short story is the ultimate retaliation. 5 stars from me because I want to.
Another great read, this shows how your whole outlook on life can change in fatherhood I of an eye, when you are at an edge. Full of hatred, and snapped emotions that turn brutal and violent. That can upset those easily offended, but for those who enjoy that extreme. Well this shows you in depth how emotions and actions can change. Definitely recommend.
If this book has taught me anything, it’s that one should always be aware that at any time you may have to deal with the consequences of your own actions. That guy you cut off in traffic and blew a black cloud of exhaust into his face? He might come and find you for revenge. Be kind to others, or you may end up in an early grave.
First of all,I love the name Rayne Havoc. I'm sure I will read more from this author. This is a fun and short read. You have a seemingly normal guy who is just mad at life. A trucker decides to be a jerk. Normal guy gets his revenge. Despite the brevity of the story, it packs a lot of punch. There's sex, blood, a couple of twists, and a life lesson. Be nice to people. You never know if they might hunt you down to kill you
Another brutal, fun read by the Queen of Extreme!! I have not read one book of hers that I haven't liked or loved. Her demented little brain gives me life 🙌🏻😂 5/5 retaliating skulls 💀
i was completely thrown off guard by just about everything that happened, honestly. from the beginning i was like, yeah this is gonna be some revenge thing but i never could've imagined what was gonna happen in that trailer!
i think what shocked me most was the end, man. after all that hot stuff, after ol girl Starla stuck the knife in Jimmy to show that she wanted to be with this home intruder, she still got shot and i loved that shit. i loved that it got turned around on her because i don't like when things end in happily ever after. and for a good second there, especially when dude was giving her the time of her life, i thought they were gonna end up together. and he started talking about settling down, and just wanting a girl that'll do whatever he wants her to do to make him happy, i was like OPE they're gonna do the whole natural born killers thing. mannnnn, you got me Rayne. you really did! AND I LOVE YA FOR IT.

“Recently, a few people have asked me what I’m so happy about, and all I can say is murder plotting must look good on me.”
I’m sure at some point everyone has murder-plotted during a rage moment. Miller, though? Miller takes intrusive thoughts and makes them a reality.
This was a road rage story with a curveball. It is extreme horror, so you already have a strong idea of what the plot entails, but the twist that comes is pretty good. And let’s be honest, Miller’s character is pretty funny. I definitely smirked a couple of times.
There’s not much more you can say without saying everything when the book is only 59 pages. I read it in less than an hour, it’s a quick read but also a page-turner. I’ve never read anything by Rayne Havok before, but I’d definitely pick up more of her work. It’s a fun, simple read that takes a semi-daily annoyance to the most extreme.
A fast, brutal, twisted revenge story. The splatterpunk answer to urban legends as behavioral warnings. One minute you're getting your jollies being a d*** to some guy on the road, the next thing you know, you're walking into the lion's den. And that den is in your own house.
This was a fast enough read that I hesitate to give much detail for fear of spoiling the book. Told from the perspective of the man intent on retaliation, this is a brutal, in your face bite of extreme horror with a few twists that will leave you dying for more, or questioning your life decisions. As for me, Rayne Havok has jumped into the potential auto-buy authors pile.
I guess this is a story about revenge after road rage but with a twist. Like with other stories from this author I'm glad I let my curiosity win even if it made me feel disturbed.
This was another page turner from Rayne Havok. What I love most about her books is that she always takes it to the extreme. This is no exception. Another 5 stars. I just can't get enough of her stories.
After reading a few stories by this author, I had a pretty good idea of where we were headed. But once again, I was blindsided by a twist. Loved it. I struggle between 3.5-4 only because the explicit sexual content isn't something that I like to read, but I understand why it's there. That's the point with a lot of splatterpunk and graphic horror, and I respect the author's decision to include it. While these things do happen in real life, this is a fictional story and nobody is actually being harmed. A truly horrific revenge story. A great reminder to just be nice to people.
Once again this author blows my mind with her messed up stories. This author never disappoints u highly recommend her books to all who love horror with hot steamy scenes.
I really loved this small tale. I honestly was rooting for Starla, but that didn't quite work out the way I expected. I fully recommend this book, but please read the trigger warning ⚠️ On to the next one..
THE ENDING?? So infuriating but also so on par with how she writes. I would’ve expected nothing less but the smut slut in me really wishes it ended hornily ever after
A guy takes road rage to the next level. The twist was good at the end, but I think I prefer my books to be a bit more descriptive. These short stories Rayne Havoc does, though they are fast-paced, seem a bit flat. It's not something I'll remember.
Looking for a super quick horror read? Rayne Havok (I'll never get over how awesome that pen name is) excels in what I'd call ghost stories.
Is that still a thing? Sitting around a campfire trying to scare the daylights out of others? I hope so. And if so, Rayne's books are the perfect place for that.
This is a tale of road rage gone wrong. And a quick look into what would happen if we did things simply because we wanted to?
