Great for the novice
I am clueless when it comes to landscaping, but I have a huge yard and need to do something with it. I liked that the author started with the basics. I needed that start from scratch. But, the author also looks at soil, sun and water needs of different plants. The 2nd book focuses on edible landscaping which I noticed is often ignored in most landscaping books. So, I thought that was a unique approach that I had not even considered. So, this book has given me so much information to consider.

Beautify your yard.
Landscaping can turn a boring yard into an oasis. It involves more than just sticking some plants in the ground. Careful planning is a must. You need to plan according to your land: flat or sloping, sun or shade, etc. Then choose plants that will work for that area. The 1st of these 2 books will cover all of that. The second book talks about edible landscaping such as plants, trees, and bushes that produce fruit. It does repeat some of what is in book 1, but there is still a lot of information in it.

Who's your landscaper?
You will be if you read and follow this book.It guides you thru the steps of making your space beautiful, functional or prosperous. It take you from soil type to plants and maintenance and all the decisions in between. I recommend this book to w who wants a great area without all the expense of hiring someone to do it for you, it even relieved stress, so what have you got to lose?

Great tips!
Both books give an introduction to landscaping and how to make things beautiful and flow. I liked the information on landscaping for privacy in particular. I also enjoyed information on using fruit plants. Beautiful and edible too!

I've been looking for info and a little help with updating my yard and making it beautiful. I'm confident with this book I'll have the best yard by the tome its done. Great and helpful guide with tips for everything you need for a professional looking landscape.
