The Empanada Cookbook: The Sweet and Savoury Hand-held Pie Recipes

Rate this book
Although every culture has its own traditional pies recipes like the Indians have samosa, the Italians have calzones, and the English have pasties. None of these cultures can beat the Latins with their biggest and more diverse assortment of Empanadas

In South America, empanadas are served in every restaurant by street vendors, and people made them at home. The word Empanada taken from a Spanish language word “empanar,” which means confined in bread. Empanadas are mini pies stuffed with a variety of sweet and delightful fillings.

The fillings can be unique and inventive, as the recipes in this book want them to be, you can also add savory ingredients from tattered or finely chopped vegetables, meats, and cheese. You are not merely limited to that; you can also add sweet fillings like cashew-raisins, pineapple jam, and apple.

The cookbook contains all easy to understand recipes and simple instructions for you.

I thought I was getting a true recipe for empanadas. What this book is, is just a collection of things you magically already have made (no recipes for fillings are given) can put in store bought puff pastry and then shaping it like and empanada and baking it. Don't recommend you to buy

See above, not worth it. Save your money. Nothing of use here, if you are looking for recipes. Don't buy.

Lamest excuse for a "cook book"

When all your recipes are made of store bought puff pastry and a filling that consists of painfully simplistic and boring mixtures of chopped pepperoni and salt or 1\2 lb. jam, one doesn't really need a "cook book". One of the most disappointing, time wasting downloads and a true insult to the world of cook books. Stay away!!

easiest recipes ever!

Every recipe uses puff pastry in place of making dough. Ingredients are varied but made me realize any leftovers would work. Using a spoonful of jam makes a small pie.
