Audio Review:
Bitten Magic (Bloodborn Academy, Book 1) caught my eye with its cover and title. I haven't listened to a good paranormal romance in a while and this one is certainly sweet as cake. I loved the premise of the story and how is plays out. I absolutely love the characters and Zev is my favorite character in the story. Betrayal and secrets lurking through the pages. Engaging storyline that doesn't slow down. A fast paced story that is intriguing and keeps you wanting more. Supernatural's with magic, werewolves, Lycans and bloodlines traced back into history. I'm looking forward to listening to book two when available.
Dual narration by Chloe Ryan, Michael Gallagher was pure perfection. Smooth and easy listening being transported into another world. Chloe's inflection is sweet and I love it. Michael' did fantastic with Zev's character. I twas so easy to listen to.
I absolutely loved everything about this audio. The characters, story plot, writing style , and narrators.
I highly recommend listening to this audiobook.

Bitten Magic by Emera Rose and Liz Knox is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Chloe Ryan and Michael Gallagher. This is the first book in the Bloodborn Academy series.
This is the first book of Emera and Liz's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next.
I really enjoyed getting Zev, Roxana, Jasper, Kori, and Mason's point of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

My first time for both authors and based on this, I will likely explore both of them more.
There are plenty of books with the heroine not knowing she’s some sort of supernatural, or that they exist … but this one puts the hero in that situation. Likewise, there are tons of books with a-hole heroes, but this one has the heroine as the total douchecanoe (well, at first anyway). Fun little twists had me hanging on, even though there wasn’t really any originality to this read.
There’s corruption, family drama, a ‘male’ with a Cinderella past, fighting, a Romeo/Juliet situation, mystery, power-struggles, girl-drama, and more … It might sound a bit much, but it works.
It ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but I found it fun, not painful at all.
3.5 stars.

Great performance, both narrators have very smooth, pleasant voices. 4-star performance. They spoke a bit slowly for my tastes (especially the male), but most audio apps offer speeding up so all good. :)

It is my first book written by written by Emera Rose and Liz Knox, I enjoyed their writing style and the imaginative characters and storylines they created. This story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it for the entire book. The authors do an amazing job laying the foundation for the series, introducing the key players and the world dynamics. The two lead characters first-year students at the Bloodborn Academy, Roxana was born into shifter royalty, her father one of the most powerful shifters, she starts off her first year like everyone should kiss her ring, but all that changes when she learned not all was as it should be. Zev grew up in foster care, until he ventured on his own, he did not know of shifters, werewolves, magic or any supernatural beings but quickly learns of them when he finds himself in a new school, the Bloodborn Academy. It does not take him long to find out what he is and then who he is. The shifter world is about to turn upside down, there is a new leader in town and the false one needs to be dethroned but he will not go out without a fight. This fast-paced story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, action, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a romance that was not only fated but meant to be. I am looking forward to what comes next in this exciting new series.

Bitten Magic is a terrific start to the Bloodborn Academy series; it's a wonderfully written paranormal romance with a fascinating premise. Right from the start, my attention was grabbed. The world-building is excellent with unique factors; Lycans and werewolves are separated into two species. Lycans are purebred with nobility with ancient bloodlines who discriminate against werewolves. Zev, a foster kid with no clue of the existence of the supernatural world, who preferred to avoid people, lived his life by camping out in the woods. He was attacked, bitten, and changed to a werewolf. Roxana is a princess among the Lycans, from an old and very powerful bloodline, Grimm. She hates being a Grimm, but she wears the mask and represents what everyone, especially her parents expect of her, someone to fear and respect.
Zev and Roxana's paths cross at Bloodborn Academy, an elite Lycan Acadamy, it provides education and protection. There are definitely sparks, and the chemistry between them is apparent and charged. The storyline is fast-paste with a sense of mystery, secrets, hidden agendas, and drama with unexpected twists and turns. The ending was spectacular, and I can't wait for the second book to be released.

“Bitten Magic” the first installment in the “Bloodborn Academy Series” is a new addiction to the supernatural academy genre by Emera Rose and Liz Knox. The book is intended for mature audience and depict some explicit situation that would be triggered for some readers!
An interesting story that centers on Roxana, a newcomer to Bloodborn Academy, that praises itself to be the Lycan colleague in the world. Set in a world that distinguishes between Lycans and werewolves, the former being purebreds, the ancient aristocracy among the shifters, constantly looking down at werewolves who are humans targeted by a witch’s curse. Even if both species are similar, the werewolves lack stamina, control and organization, and while both species mate with humans, an inter-species mating is considered an abomination. Zev is a guy that ended up at the academy by chance and is still denial, insisting in not being any kind of shifter and ended up confronting Roxana, who has already fixed her position as the academy queen bee, being the heir of the most powerful Lycan bloodline. The consequences should be expected.
The book a fast paced, action-rich, supernatural romance academy story for adult readers, that relies heavily in the ‘inner beast’ and ‘opposites attract’ tropes to build the plot.

I love the cover of this book which shows Zev and a boy with a wolf on each side. They happen to be in front of a gate on a full moon night.
We find the pretty Zev who, when she was bitten, found herself plunged into the supernatural. As she had nowhere else to go she trusted a complete stranger and went to the Bloodborn Academy, an elite university specialized in lycans. Except that lycans like werewolves are hunted. That's why the school is open to protect them and preserve their species. And Zev will discover the four corners of the academy and nothing will happen as she thought. Except that she's going to have a crush on the queen bee Roxanna Grim who doesn't have her in her heart.

Well I love me some books about werewolves/lycans and this one is amazing. So we have Zev that is bitten and then thrusted into the werewolf world. He has no idea what is going on and is thinking people are going insane until he something happens and he realize that he is a werewolf. Then lets meet the Princess, Roxana. Now she is something. It seems like she hates the fact that she is a Grim because everyone fears her name. Zev can give two cents about her but you can feel the spark with them immediately. Now there is a lot of questions going on about Zev, because he was bitten they think that he will not live through the transition. However, there are some surprises. Let me say I did not see it coming. This was definitely flawless. (you will understand that meaning when you get to it) I cannot wait for the next book to read. I need to know what will happen. I will say that the crap hits the fan and everything is turned upside down. It ends with a cliffy and now I am off to book two.

This is the story of Zev who is bitten and his whole world changes. He meets a stranger and he learns of Bloodborn Academy. When he gets there it is for werewolves and lycans to protect them from their enemies. Things are not always what they seem and there are hidden agendas and there are twists and turns at every corner. He meets Roxana Grimm and is drawn to her, but she will have nothing to do with him. This is a wonderful start to a new paranormal series. Everything Elizabeth Knox writes seems to be gold. I love this book and I look forward to the next in the series. Wonderful people and wonderful plot and the story just flowed. I had a hard time putting it down, but I did need sleep. Fantastic plot, writting and characters.

This is Book 1 in a series and this is also the first book I have read by either author, I am not disappointed! I loved this! I think this is a great short series. The perfect Palette cleanser for getting over long series' This falls under the fated mates trope and this is also the first time I have a series that has the male as the MC normally I read books with a female main character, I don't really know why, but it is what it is. This story however, will be the reason I give other books with a male main character a chance. This is a duet, but like I said it seemed more centered around the guy. I would be interested in listening to book 2!

Bitten Magic by Liz Knox and Emera Rose was a decadent story of Zev and Roxana. He’s bitten by a werewolf and is led to the Bloodborn Academy…where he meets Roxana. He is immediately taken with her…but, she can’t stand him. Things escalate within the Academy and many secrets are revealed….leading to a massive situation!!!
This is a WONDERFUL start to this new Bloodborn Academy series!!! These characters are strong, decisive, driven, flawed, and resilient. Love the storyline and can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!!!!

This is the first of the series and I enjoyed it a lot. The characters were developed well with surprising characteristics in them. You think the one MC is one way but then it looks like your totally wrong about them. The storyline was thought invoking to a degree as it caught me and drug me in where it held me till i finished it before knowing it was over. The ending was surprising and I read so intensely i missed some hints as to what was going to happen or they just weren’t there. I will definitely reread before the next one. recommend that you read this.

This book is written in several pov's the main two being Zev and Roxana. We start the book off seeing Zev get attacked whilst camping to then being brought to the academy by Jasper for safety. Then we meet Roxana who's father is the head Alpha and drops her and her best friend at the academy.
From here we see things go crazy, with so many truths coming out during each crazy twist, and the recognition between Zev and Roxana about what they are.
And with so many things occurring you dont expect the crazy ending leaving you in shock and needing answers.

In "Bitten Magic" we are introduced to many in the first book of the Bloodborn Academy series. This is primarily Lev and Roxana's story. As the story weaves a romance between Lev and Roxana, secrets are exposed as they learn that things are not always as they seem. One thing is certain however, Lev knows that Roxana is his mate. With the twists, surprises, and the reveals, for shifter enthusiasts, this is a series you will want to read from the very beginning. When Emera Rose and Liz Knox teams up, you can always expect the unexpected. Looking forward to reading more of this series, **I was gifted "Bitten Magic" via Booksprout and leave my review based on my reading.** 4.25 Stars!

I haven’t read anything from these authors before and I felt like they did a good job with the story telling, World building and character development. I am excited to dive even deeper into zen and Roxana’s story In the coming books. This book was just the beginning and scratching of the surface for what I think is to come.
The narration was pretty good. I didn’t really love Michaels voice when he was speaking for Roxana, especially during spices scenes, but it wasn’t an end all for me.
I would recommend listening to this.

WE LOVE A GOOD WEREWOLF STORY!
So, Zev is bitten & then thrown into this werewolf world. He has no idea what is going on & is thinking people are going insane until he something happens & he realize that he is a werewolf. You can feel the spark Zev & Roxana have immediately which I freaking love. There is drama that we need w Zev & his surviving the bite, you definitely get thrown wtf moments that leave you craving more & more of the story! I can’t wait to see what comes next !

A brilliant paranormal romance filled with action, adventure, mystery, secrets, lies, intrigue, fated mate bond, sizzling sexy scenes, friendship betrayal, plenty of twists including the final shocking twist in the fabulous cliffhanger ending. Very well written, diverse characters with amazingly strong chemistry and a magically captivating storyline. Elizabeth Knox is a new to me author, I thoroughly enjoyed book one, now I cannot wait to find out what happens next in this series.

This was an amazing read by Emera Rose and Liz Knox. I am a big fan of Ms Knox and she can truly write any genre and you will not be disappointed. Zev and Roxana are such great characters and the story was captivating. A few twists and turns that had my head spinning and the ending truly blew me away. A great start to what I know will be another awesome series by these authors. Definitely a 5 star read. So excited for the next book.

This is the first book in the series and had Zev getting bitten and his world changes forever. He’s now thrust into the supernatural world and goes to Bloodthorn Academy. It’s open for lycans and werewolves as both are being hunted. He finds there are secrets all over the school and one is that he’s got a pull to Roxana the Queen bee of the school! She hates him but it seems that she’s pulled to him to! Will things get better as they get to know each other?

This is a fantastic book. These two authors definetly know how to write a book that will hold you captive from the beginning to the end. In this book we learn about Bloodborn Academy where Lycans and werewolves go to school. It is not your run of the mill school. We meet Lev, Roxana, Jasper and Kori. They will keep you on edge with their antics. There are many twists and turns, surprises and more that will have you saying "no way"! You will not want to put it down. It is a must have book! I can not wait to read more from these two authors!

This is the beginning of a new series which is yeah for me. Zev goes from knowing nothing to being thrust into a world she does not know. She does go to a academy that houses her and others but also lycans. Lots of things will be learned even secrets that keeps us eager into the pages. Roxanna is high up but also someone Zev butts heads with. This is one that goes quickly but that is what happens to ones who are on the run lol. A nice beginning one that is strong enough to bring us back for another one when ready.

Bitten Magic is the first book and a great start to the Bloodborn Academy series. Zev's world changes forever after he is bitten and now he is part of a supernatural world that he knows nothing about. At the Bloodborn Academy for Lycans and werewolves, he learns so much and feels a pull to Roxana. This is a well written story filled with interesting characters, secrets, danger, mystery and twists that had me reading nonstop. This is a great start to the series and after that ending, I can't wait to read the next book to find out what happens next. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This was a good start to a new series. Based in a supernatural world at the Bloodborn Academy, Zev is trying to navigate through secrets and nothing is what it seems. He decides to trust Roxana who is the cream of the crop at the academy. There is a lot of push and pull between them as they are trying to navigate the world they live in as well as the expectations put upon them. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

This book had me hooked from the very first page that I read and I could not put it down until the very last page was read. It moves along at a great pace which made for an enjoyable read. The characters are so amazing that you cannot help but fall in love with them and no matter what you want to be there for them. This book will grab you and keep you reading till the end and then you are needing more. This is a must read, no doubt about it.

This is the first book in what I'm sure is going to be a great series. I became totally hooked by Zev and Roxana's story which is both exciting, intriguing and intense. When I started it I only intended to read a few pages but ended up reading it all the way through.
I like this author's writing style and enjoyed very much the emotions and chemistry between the characters. I'm looking forward to the next instalment of Bloodborn Academy, I'm hooked.
