Ava is the led detective on the missing and murdered girls case that leads her to Club Toxic. Several of the women were seen there before they were kidnapped and killed.

Corbyn is working to find cures for human diseases and comes to Club Toxic to drink (blood) since he's a vampire and can easily get it there.

After noticing Ava, Corbyn scans her mind because she seems out of place at the club and he finds out she's an FBI agent looking into murdered women and is at the club to see if anything looks suspicious. Vampires don't want humans to find out about them so he compels her not to come back but to his astonishment she keeps coming back. They end up together at his house because neither of them can stop the attraction they feel for each other and Ava sees something that she shouldn't have and Corbyn wants to explain some things to her.

Ava is an FBI agent and isn't used to stopping her investigation when the leads are telling her that it's a vampire that's draining the dead women. So after she finds out that vampires exist, she demands to speak to the vampire king even though Corbyn told her that would be a huge mistake and would put her in danger. Vampires don't want humans to know about their existence so Lucius, the vampire king could either kill her, wipe her memory or something worse. What Corbyn isn't expecting is what Lucius actually does, which is help Ava find the vampire responsible.

As the serial killer case goes on, Ava and Corbyn get a lot closer and see how much they are great for each other even though they think it can't work between them since she's human and he's not. But in the end they find a way to make it work and when the killer messes up and they figure out who it is, I really liked how it concluded.

Ava is an FBI agent who is given a case where numerous women across the country have been found with their throats slit and their blood drained. The most recent murders have occurred in her city, Tucson, and the surrounding areas and the only thing the victims have in common is their sex and a connection to Club Toxic. Ava has been to the club before and, with some fellow agents, goes in as a customer to check the place out for suspicious activity. Little does she know that the club is owned by a powerful vampire.

Corbyn has seen Ava at the club before and did his best to compel her to stay away. He was attracted to her and read her mind, discovering her FBI connection. He didn't want her finding out the club's secrets, such as the vampire customers and the BDSM basement club where the vamps combine sex and dinner. He knows that Lucius would either kill her or ravage her brain while removing the memories and he doesn't want that to happen to her. He is a new resident in Lucius' territory and usually only comes to the club infrequently to feed on willing humans.

I am not going to spoil the story for you. Ava and Corbyn's story has a lot of twists and turns. Enjoy. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Murder and Mystery in addition to the anticipated Vampire Romance!!

Special Agent Ava of the FBI has discovered a common thread between her murder victims… they had been at Club Toxic just prior to their death. Vampire Corbyn has compelled Ava not to return to club – but here she is again. It takes a strong will to break through a vampire’s instruction.

Rather than have her in danger from either the killer or the other vampires, once they find out she knows what they are, Corbyn joins forces with Ava to track down the killer. There is more to Corbyn than meets the eye.

Fabulous murder mystery, romance and high entertainment to be found in these pages. Literally could not put this one down!

This was such a good book. Ava is a no holds barred woman who is an FBI agent trying to track down a serial killer. Corbyn is a dominant vampire at Club Toxic. When these two get together, it's gets downright hot. You get all the emotions in this story and it will have you turning the pages as fast as you can read. I am really loving this series and each book gets better and better.

terrific vampire romance 🥰

This is part of a series of books with Vampires by various authors and there is some elements of BDSM in them. I have read two books in this series so far and I liked both of them. So I recommend the series and this writer in particular as well.

Her Vampire Suspect is a great addition to the Midnight Doms. Ava is an FBI agent investigating a serial killer when she witnesses something she shouldn't have seen. Corbyn a vampire and a research scientist takes Ava under his wing realizing she won't give up or forget what she witnessed, a vampire feeding, but she thinks he's the killer. Corbyn wants Ava and Ava is attracted to Corbyn, so a natural connection develops. The investigation is dangerous and exciting, the sex and a touch of BDSM is hot and the story unputdownable. (My new word) Brenda Trim did a great job with her contribution to the Midnight Doms series.

Sloppy

This book doesn't meet the standards of the midnight doms series. The FC was great, and I enjoyed the strong woman who isn't really a sub getting so much pleasure from making the dom work for her submission. But the supposedly smart vampire was unbelievable. There is no way someone who has survived over 600 years would fall so fast and make such rookie mistakes! Also, her portrayal of Lucius didn't fit with the character who has been developed over so many books. You don't enter a shared universe and ignore all the previous work; that's just sloppy. Read this for the hot scenes, but don't expect a well written novel. Maybe the author will revise it, make it 50% longer, and replace the grating shortcuts.

Another very different read in this simply captivating series of vampire books
This was another captivating read by Brenda Trim and this time it approached the Vampire element of these books from a very different and very cleverly put together way. Someone has been killing young women and completely draining them of blood and then simply dumping their bodies so that they can be found.
Ava and her Colleague are detectives and they have been looking into the murders and have found their way to Club Toxic where Ava is sure she may be able to find some answers. One night she follows a man with what she believes is a female under the influence of drugs however what she discovers when she catches up with the couple is far more that she ever could have expected.
Corbyn has been trying to keep Ava of the radar of the Club Toxic’s owner but know that she has made her presence and suspicions known it has firmly placed her in the oldest vampire in the country crosshairs, should he believe his people are in any danger he will not hesitate for one moment to react whatever is required.
As Ava and Corbyn begin to work the case together their personal interaction become far more prolific and as he begins to fulfil many of the D/s activities she enjoys it is obvious that they are becoming very invested in each other.
Corbyn had never though of the possibility of a mate not in the five plus centuries he has been turned, however now he has to admit that the idea may have entered his mind on several occasions.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Submission is love and trust, not easily given

The series has been great. Relationships are built on trusts, honesty, love and respect. Submission is given when theirs respect and honesty. It's hard to be a submissive, but once the right Dom is found, submission isn't hard. It is nice to find that release and let someone else take control, and that is what Ava is looking for. She has found it but she isn't willing to let her desire out, it's at the door. Cornyn finds this FBI agent intriguing and not easily enthralled. They have both been intrigued by each other and they both are guarding their hearts, yet when they find themselves in harm's way the flood doors are finally open to each other and can voice what they really feel for each other. It is passionate, heartwarming and real love at it's best. The ending isn't really an ending it was open to an epilogue. More questions to the relationship after they both find themselves in harm's way. SPOILER alert: what happens after the become a couple? Does he go to working in the lab? When does he get introduce to the family? Friends? Do they get married? When do they decided it is the best time for Ava to be turned? Does she still work as an FBI agent? More questions than answers at the end. Please Brenda write the ending to your beautiful story.

Brenda Trim’s inclusion in the Midnight Doms Series introduces us to federal agent, Ava, and vampire humanitarian (sort of), Corbyn, in “Her Vampire Suspect”. Like the other books in this series, the story slots into the Club Toxic universe and also has a great suspense story attached to it. Ava and Corbyn are like opposing magnets, each pushing the other away for their own reasons, only to circle back around when the polarization shifts and they become magnetically attracted to each other. Likes: I like the strong female character in Ava, and I loved Corbyn’s long-time humanity, which is contrary to what you’d expect. I LOVED all the smart details Ms. Trim put in the story (the scene in the car!). And of course, there’s their attraction and chemistry going on between the two. Dislikes: I will readily admit that Ava grated on me at times in her absolute refusal to see and respond to the danger of the situation she was in, among other things, so I was happy to see more of a transformation with her at the end, which helped. Much. I found that between the two characters, I liked Corbyn more than Ava, as he was quite the enigma. Overall, this was an enjoyable read. I finished it over a couple evenings, and it’s a nice addition to this series.

Ava is an FBI agent on an assignment where women across the country are found murdered with throats slit and blood drained. Somehow the female victims seem to have some sort of connection to Club Toxic, which she does not know is owned by a vampire.

The last time Ava went to that club, she was warned to stay away by Corbyn, unaware the vampire had read her mind and knew she was FBI and why she was snooping. He only uses the club when he needs to feed and is not a regular. But the club has a secret BDSM basement where vampires have a bit of sex with their “dinner”. Ava would have her mind wiped or might even be killed outright if she were to be caught by the owner.

This is not a book I am comfortable with since kinky behaviors that strive to demean or cause pain to a woman are very upsetting to me. I chose to stop reading rather than get angry over this. I regret that I didn’t catch that this was one of those books when I grabbed it for review. This is not to say others may not enjoy it – it’s just not at all my “cup of tea”.

Another fantastic couple – this time Ava, an FBI agent trying to crack open a serial killer case, and Corbyn, an ancient vampire that keeps to himself, find themselves matched up. Corbyn does not understand why he can’t get Ava out of his head. Despite the fact that he has tried to use his vampire mind tricks to keep her away, she still keeps coming back to the club because she is convinced that is where she will find her serial killer. Ava is not your typical sub; she has an Alpha personality at work and carries herself in a manner where she demands respect from her fellow agents. Corbyn struggles to contain his desires to dominate her because he knows she will only push back. Ava craves the pleasure pain only a proper Dom can give, but she does not want to be anyone’s submissive. Much like Corbyn, she also struggles to contain her desires to submit. Watching them play around each other while working together to find a serial killer was an absolute joy ride. This was my first time reading a book by Brenda Trim and I am definitely a fan.

Ava is a FBI agent that is investigation a murder of several women and it all leads to Club Toxic. Corbyn has seen Ava enter Club Toxic a few times and even though she is tempting, he has compeled her to stay out but she keeps coming back. How is she fighting his power? Ava will not kneel for any man but there is something about Corbyn that makes her weak. When she witnesses an event, Corbyn has to rescue her. But can he keep her safe from herself?
I love this series. It is one of my favorites. Ava has strength and is tough. She goes toe to toe with Corbyn. I hate that they came together do to a murder possibly by a vampire. These two are a great pair. Corbyn working in the pharmaceutical field and can scent the scene and the possible criminal. Ava has the best partner there is in him. I do like her FBI partner Bria. She is funny. Obviously Lucian and Selene are present. This books moves at a great pace. The intimacy between these two hot, drool worthy.

probably the best thriller in the series,

A serial killer on the lose and it’s a vamp but who? fbi agent Ava, knows that vamps are real. And determined to put and end to them.. but will she get the right one?
Or will they get her before she can grasp love, and stop innocent women from dropping like flies. Will she end up one of the many victims?
Or will the vamp king erase her memory and send her packing, or worse?

Great story too much ANALysis for my taste though. In entire series plus spankings that are bloody? Sorry when you hit that hard or that much… it’s too much and that is no longer spanking that is beating. Especially spraying with water to make the skin breakable. It’s too much it crosses a line from playful to abuse I started skipping the smex parts at lest the stories are good.

Ava is a smart, strong, confident FBI Agent called in to work a serial murder case that seems to involve Club Toxic. Corbyn has noticed Ava at the club in the past and noting her keen sense of observation thought it best to deter her from visiting the club. The cases that fall into Avas lap are the perfect excuse for her to continue to visit the club and nothing, not even the Vampire King, will stop her pursuit of this cold blooded killer. Ava is thrust into a terrifying world and keeps her composure through it all. Corbyn, 600 something year old vampire is helplessly compelled by her determination and hungers not only for her blood but her trust.

Ava is a highly motivated, strong minded, smart individual who is dedicated to the task of solving a series of murders in her role of FBI agent which puts her on a collision course with Cornyn who just happens to be a vampire. Previous occasions he has noticed her and tried to keep her away from Club Toxic for her own protection. However when the choice is taken out of their hands and she discovers his secret they are forced to work together to solve these grisly murders. Their relationship is not all work as these two discover they are extremely compatible and satisfy a need in each other, be warned the scenes between these two are HOT HOT HOT and will burn up your kindle.

Ava’s ruthless determination puts her in danger when she surmises the man who she suspects is a serial killer is also a vampire. Corbyn has been watching Ava for a while as he can’t get her out of his head and when she stumbles across her first vampire, Corbyn swoops in to save her. They can’t deny the burning desire they feel for one another and give into temptation. But Ava can’t be swayed from following every lead and Corbyn will have to stay close to help Ava solve her case while keeping her from getting too close to the other vampires. When Ava’s case put Corbyn’s life in danger, Ava will have to work fast to save him before the serial killer can make Corbyn his next victim.

This is the first book by Brenda Trim I've read but I just somehow knew that if she were a participant in this outstanding series, it was going to be a 'must-read' and it was. 'Her Vampire Suspect' is a vampire whodunnit with a cast of characters that included some that I've come to know and love plus new additions that were just easy to love and relate to. Imagine an FBI agent unknowingly investigating Vampires. On the one hand, the idea itself is almost comical, especially if someone needs to be brought in or taken down. Oh …. But the other side of the coin would be the consequences if that truly happened. Brenda Trim presents this story with all the emotion that comes with the twists and turns of a chemistry filled mystery. What a terrific contribution.

I really enjoyed this book. It is another great entry in an excellent PNR series. Corbyn and Ava made an intriguing couple. The chemistry sizzles, the attraction burns hot and they create loads of heat and sparks. I liked that each of these characters were strong on their own but together they were more. The storyline held my attention well and I found the couple themselves easy to like and root for. The dynamic between these characters evolves and changes over the course of their story and that held a lot of appeal for me. A awesome read that has drama, twists, emotion, heat, danger, suspense, heart, excitement and intensity. I am freely posting a frank review.

This book was an interesting take on vampires and the cross over to our world. It is a definite must read due to the suspense/mystery. The characters are fun and complicated. There are elements of BDSM but not tacky.
Ava is the main character and a FBI agent. I live that she is obsessed with shoes. She has submissive tendencies but needs a confident master.
Corbyn is a vampire scientist who spends his free time trying to cure human ailments. Ava catches his attention and he wants to be with her. His help on the case brings them closer together.
Bria is a trainee to main character with quick wit. Hopefully we will see more of her in a later book.

While I haven’t read much by this author, everything I have has been enjoyable. This book is no exception. It is a great addition to a series that has numerous authors creating characters within the same world. With a storyline chock full of suspense, intrigue, familiar characters, and plenty of sizzle, readers will enjoy this vampire-centric murder mystery. Love seeing apex predators brought to their metaphorical knees by feisty females - along with said feisty females being swept off their feet literally and figuratively by their domineering, protective vampire pursuers. Great story and one that will be added to my reread pile.

The relationship between Corbyn and Ava was so intense you could feel the heat. If that isn't enough, the story was also pretty amazing too. Ava is an FBI agent looking for a serial killer. She won't let anything get in her way of solving this case. Not even Vampires. With Corbyn's help, she'll have a better chance. I she can keep herself from falling or him. Corbyn finds himself falling just as hard. Together they will find the killer and just maybe their own HEA. The Vampires at Club Toxic will leave you longing for one of your own. Another amazing read for this author and the series. I received an advanced copy and this is my honest opinion.

Ava is an FBI agent who caught a serial killer case in her hometown of Tucson, AZ. The determination was made after similar deaths were in neighboring states, but when crossed state lines, the FBI is called in. All the deaths had similar methods including the victim being drained of blood, throat slashed and all were in club called Toxic before their deaths...so she and her partner Bria go to the club...where she sees a sexy man at the bar, Corbyn...of course he is a vampire, who had seen her there before, but not while she was on a case and after reading her mind, compels her to stay away as Lucias, the Vampire King, wouldn't want a FBI agent in his club, which had a secret BDSM club beneath...of course they are attracted to each other, but Corbyn follows her when she sees a vampire take a woman out of the club, and kind of kidnaps Ava when she sees the vampire she followed biting her neck...he explains what she saw ..and Ava knows she would be medically examined if she told anyone about what she saw...but the same girl ends up as a victim...so will Corbyn help her find a vampire who is a serial killer...or could he be the killer??? You will need to read this twisting, sexy story to see what happens...

Ava, a FBI agent, is currently investigating several murder cases that turn out to be committed by a serial killer who is suspected of being a vampire. Corbyn, a vampire is trying to help her and keep her safe at the same time but what he did not plan on was falling in love with her. I enjoyed the story. There is a lot of sexual action between Ava and Corbyn that escalates throughout the book. This is a great read that I would highly recommend.

I love the Midnight Dom series and this book is a great addition to that...
Ava is a tenacious, dogged FBI agent who is on the hunt for a serial killer who is killing woman in the area, and is using Club Toxic to find his victims....
Corbyn had admired Ava at the club since he first saw her but when he found out about her being an agent he has been doing everything he can to protect her as well as protecting the secret of Club Toxic..
I loved all the little twists, action and adventure and steamy scenes that Ava and Corbyn encountered as they hunt down the killer...

Ava works for the FBI. She has been assigned a case where several women are being murdered. They had been drained of blood and had their throats slits. She realizes that they all attended Club Toxic. It is at that club that she meets Corbyn, who is a vampire and has decided to become her protector. She is convinced a vampire is the killer. Together they work the case and both begin to realize their feelings for one another. This was a great story with a happy ending.

One of the things I like the most about the Midnight Dom series is that I have different authors I may not have read before writing the books. Brenda Trim is one author that's new to me, but I will definitely read again. Corbyn and Ava's story is full of action, suspense, twists and turns, and steam. The characters are strong, well written, and have great chemistry. I look forward to reading more from Brenda Trim.

There were parts of the story that I really liked. Ava was a strong woman who knew her own mind and was willing to stand up to anyone who stood in the way of solving her case. Corbyn, a centuries old vampire with a heart of gold and the desire to help heal a variety of human illnesses, was a less complex character. There were some details about his past but very few and other than his fascination with Ava, he was a mystery. I would have liked more detail about the serial killer and why he did what he did but the story was entertaining and I enjoyed it. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Suspect or Protector? Ava is a FBI agent investigating a serial killer. Her leads suggest that there is a connection to Club Toxic. Corbyn is a new vamp to the area who tries to compel Ava to stay away. Is he trying to protect her or is he a suspect? We all know Club Toxic has many secrets but are they also harboring a serial killer? Wonderful addition to this series!
