Blackmailing Benjamin is the second story in the series,and this one has another taboo where,after the “gloves come off”,the heat turns up significantly

This book was all kinds of bigotry, trying to be disguised as lust. Not even love, because I never felt that between the heroine and either of the guys. And since the book was mostly told from her point of view, I think it really needed to portray at least some sort of real affection.
Let's start with the basis of the whole "relationship," the blackmail. She is blackmailing him for being gay. Shit move, and I don't think any more needs to be said about that. The blackmail is about this already defined couple, her stepbrother Ben and his significant other, Andre. Once she forces his hand about outing him to their family, they head back to Andre's place for the "payment." Somehow, her wanting to watch the guys together, turns into both guys worshiping her instead. And throughout their entire throuple, which commences immediately after this night, never once do the guys ever do anything together, all the sexy scenes are all about her getting pleasured. And for a book that was about an MM couple, it just seemed like the author was trying to push that bit out of the reader's minds, which to me, just added to the homophobic undertones.
Now, let's add in the fact that Andre is black. Not only does Kat taunt Ben about being with a man, but she also threatens to tell his mother that it's a black man. The mother herself, is obviously racist and homophobic, that part isn't hidden at all. But while Kat is supposedly in love with Andre from the get-go, she sure does bring it up in a negative way to Ben a lot. It all just makes me hate her as a character, and we never see any growth in her, so it makes the whole book a waste of my time, I don't want to read about people like that, fictional or not. Add in that the cover doesn't portray Andre as the dark man he is described as, it gives me even more of an ick factor.
As I said, this book was more about lust than love to me. If the bigotry was taken out, and the story was either about only Ben and Andre or only Kat and Ben, it would have been more enjoyable. As it was, there was no need to make this an MMF book with absolutely no MM. And sure, you could just call that MFM, but I don't see how that makes anything believable when it starts with only the MM couple.

This was an ARC I received from Booksprout and wanted to give a voluntary review because it just deserved one! It's a quick, easy read about step-siblings and the perceived rivalry that exists between them. Of course, Ben came into her family the golden child. He's hot, a jock, and apparently can do no wrong. So when Kat accidentally overhears him propositioning another guy at a frat party she blackmails him into getting what she wants or "she'll tell". That quickly turns into a life-lesson of "be careful what you ask for" because Andres, the other guy, quickly turns the tables on Kat. Not only is Ben made to admit his secret feelings for his step-sister but instead of just two, there are now three in this arrangement. The story evolves over time so we get to see the characters grow and come into themselves. By reading the blurb and reviews, I didn't think I'd care for Ben but surprisingly, he isn't the problem at all. Wait until you read this! There are MM, MF, and MFM scenes which are all HOT and yet Ophelia Bell has a way with very explicit and wide-ranging relationships. I personally think book two, 'Blackmailing Benjamin' was a little more in-depth with the story and plot than book one, 'Casey's Secrets', so going by that I can hardly wait to see where she takes us in the next book.

Inconsistencies in the characters behavior and their backstory. Not quite spicy enough to be erotica, but not quite charming enough to be a satisfying romance. The writing is fine so it earns a star, but does it deserve the $7.99 pricetag it currently has on Kindle, absolutely not. It's a novella, barely a 2 hour read. But not worth even that much time. If Goodreads would allow zero star ratings, this would be a one star for the clean (as in no errors) writing.

Kat is attending another boring college party, looking to maybe find a guy for a quick rendezvous. Her flask is low on Tequila, so she wanders off to refill it when she hears a familiar voice. She and her step-brother, Ben, never got along well. He was a popular jock and good-looking as well! But now what she is hearing grabs her attention as she overhears Ben talking with Andre about getting together. What starts out as a prank, as she agrees to not tell Ben’s mother if she can watch them, gets turned around by Andre and all three of them end up together.
Ben admitted he has secretly been in love with Kat for 10 years now, and he finally told her. Andre had already known. Since Andre had a large apartment, all three lived together comfortably until Ben’s mother arranged for a paid internship for Kat rather than let her waste her time on an aimless pursuit of a vague degree. It was not negotiable – she would leave in the morning. Is there anything Andre, Ben, and Kat can do to stop this? The three of them have a solid, loving relationship. This will tear them apart. Or was this Linette’s true intention all along?
Once you get over the shock, there is a good story line here. The writing is done well and the main characters are likable. Grab your copy and see what the threesome will do about their new situation and if they can ever find a HEA now under the new dynamic.

What do you do when you hear your hot stepbrother proposition another man at a frat party? You threaten to blackmail him of course! What happens when that blackmail backfires and you find out the stepbrother you despised for the last 10 years has secretly been in love with you? You read this well written taboo story to find out of course! I found this book surprisingly well done, and very entertaining. It has the wicked stepmother who instantly loathe, and the HEA that makes every romance that much better. This MFM story has elements of MM MF and menage all steamy scenes are Hot Hot Hot! I recommend for a quick read. This author never disappoints me.

Kat decided to go to a college frat party to find someone to sleep with, if there was any potential guy their. Instead Kat over heard her stepbrother Ben and a deep male voice saying some compromising things. Then Kat thought that she had a genius idea. Kat would blackmail Ben. Until Andre turned it into something more. Kat was livid with her stepmother when she told her that she was to move out of state to finish college. Kat was so heart broken. I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is an erotic short story about a trio who fall in love when they are not supposed to. Ben and Kat are step brother and sister. They have secretly crushed on each other. Ben also loves Andre also, who knew about his crush. All three find love together but he step mother has other plans for her life. This was a well written story with a good plot along with the high heat. The characters were great together with a lot of chemistry.

This book 2 in the Rebel Lust Taboo Book Series, a taboo, BDSM, Menage book is a smoking hot very well-written story with interesting, taboo step family, and ends with a better relationship. This book has wonderful, interesting, growing Characters that have an intense connection, chemistry and are exploring a new relationship. This story has action, twists, turns, intensity, and love. This is a must read for those who love this genre. This Author is very good at showing different personalities and how they all interconnect. Read the last book to end this great series

Is blackmailing someone a good idea? That's what most people know, but Kat overhears her stepbrother proposition another man at a party and she decides to use it against him. Little did she know that Andre, (the other man) has eyes for both of them and that Kat's stepbrother has always secretly loved her. Exciting times happen to all! This book was well written and the second book in this series. There is a wicked stepmother, steamy menage scenes, man on man action.... hot! Where's my fan to cool me down?

So this one falls into several categories-revenge romance, taboo Step-siblings and ménage. The MMF relationship is more implied than acted on -the is some M/M kissing and touching but that’s as far as it goes, it’s more about Kat in between them. What starts out as revenge for Kat gets flipped on her when Ben, at Andres urging, admits his feelings. The book goes from one steamy scene to the next with little in the way of plot or character development. It’s good for a quick evening read.

A rollercoaster of feels and so delicious! Ms. Bell has outdid herself with this incredible taboo story! The passion and fire lit my kindle aflame.
The characters are so incredibly pleasing that I couldn't put the book down! Sexy and emotional, it's hands down a fantastic read!

OMG a great sexy taboo short story. Kat and Ben are step siblings and hate each other but after finding Ben in a kinky compromising position, Kat ends up bribing him to get her own dirty dream.
Absolutely loved theses short stories and personally you can not beat Ophelia Bell for hot kinky and taboo. If you haven’t checked out her dragon series you must check it out. Fates fools is my absolute favourite

This book reads a bit more like a MFM book than MMF, but regardless, this was a steamy fun read. Kat overhears her stepbrother Ben talking to Andre about hooking up. She decides to blackmailing him into watching them, but they turn the tables on her. What starts out as a steamy night between the 3, turns into more. This was a fast paced, fun, steamy read.

I've read several books written by Ophellia Bell; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

I loved this sexy little short novella. Ophelia always gives you some good steamy scenes and this is no exception. It also didn’t go the way I was expecting when I first started reading, but that’s not a bad thing, it was a very, very good thing. I highly recommend this for a nice afternoon steamy read.

Another quick steamy read by this author to keep you entertained and boy oh boy this one really was enjoyable. The emotional rollercoaster that Kat and Ben go through in this book due to their parents. Ben is hiding a relationship from his mother and Kat thinks she can blackmail him and lets just say things get turned all around.

Great Story! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. What started off as a pay-back dare ended up being so much more. The twists and turns will keep you glued to the story—wanting to find out what will happen next. Of course, you’ll have to add in the havoc a wicked stepmother is planning to wreak. However when Ben's friend Andre turns the the tables both Ben and Kat's relationship will take a turn for the better. Passion, secrets, and intense feelings will be exposed and explored in a very hot and satisfactory way.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Ben and Kat they were raised together. There is so many secrets and the blackmailing just added to the secrets until someone gets caught.
