Now we’re getting to some meaty plot points!

I found the last book intriguing. This book? I couldn’t put down. More is revealed about not only Joely’s past, but also her guys; Angus, Marco and Van. And in the course of these revelations, a more sinister plot is also revealed. It felt like a plot you might see on supernatural or one of those others similar TV programs.

The boys are still on the run from the evil headmaster, who is out to kill them, avenging his son’s murder. But he has only seen them in their wolf forms, he has no idea what they look like in “skin.” They each wear a necklace charmed by a witch that helps suppress their wolves, rendering them “invisible” to the headmaster. As for Joely? Well, her story gets curiouser and curiouser. Don’t want to say more so I don’t spoil it.

Sure, some of the plot twists I saw coming. But there were definitely a few that I didn’t. While there’s some sexy times, there isn’t much of it and it’s nothing really hardcore so I would rate this a “new adult” level book. But I wasn’t mad at it. What I do dislike is how broken up these books are. Honestly, I’d be kinda pissed if I had to buy them all, I’m reading them on KU. Rather than 6 books, they should be edited down to 2 or 3. That’s why I gave this book 4, rather than 5, stars. I definitely plan on reading the next installment.

Book 2 in this series and it continues quickly on from the first one. Joely (FMC) and the guys - Van, Marco and Angus are still trying to work out how to stop Master Damon. The dynamic/relationship between Joely, Van, Marco and Angus is gradually changing. More so with Marco and Angus. Van is keeping Joely at arms length. The pace has gone up in this book and it keeps you on your toes and im loving reading it. So much

Over Hexed takes off not far from where Dark Arts left off with that unbearable cliff hanger. I felt like the sequal took a whole new angle to the series and I can't say I'm disappointed. Focusing more on characters and relationship developments rather then classes, I felt like, as a reader, I got to know the boys on a deeper level with this book. Starr creates an attractive world with her easy-going writing style. Expect to leave this book wanting more.

Our heroine is the key to an ancient prophecy, which means there are a lot of expectations for her. And living up to the expectations of others is always a difficult challenge.

This is book two of the series. The book does pretty well as a stand alone, but it might work better if you start at the beginning. You can pick up on the essentials pretty quickly, as long as you don't mind a little confusion starting out.

This is a reverse harem romance story set at a magical academy. I thought I was getting rather jaded to these stories, but then this one came along and really surprised me. We still get a lot of the usual academy stuff, but the setting and story are a little grittier, if that is the right word, which gives it a bit of an edge. The characters are also well done and diverse, rounding out the story nicely. There are also some steamy scenes which provide a bit of a diversion. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the next book (and perhaps the first one as well).

Joely is asked to go with Angus and the others. Joely is surprised when they shift in their wolves, seems that there is a bigger connection then she realized. She is not sure what to make of it and how Angus will feel. Joely is also having a hard time in school with everything that is going on. Joely is assigned someone to help her. This leads to issues with her sisters.
They find some critical information due to Master Damon being away. They make plans that get the item they need, but things get worse. When one of them is in danger, they will whatever necessary to get him back.

There is a lot to this story that I didn't write, I am not spoiling it. This book will hook you from the first page until the last. You will learn more about Joely, her magic, family. Also about the school itself and what it means for all them. Even though it is a reverse harem, it doesn't take away from the story. You will enjoy the story.

Oh man! This is the second book in this series and I am so hooked! Joely and her 3 guys guys have so much going on and add in all her family issues and her schooling, Joely is one busy woman! I love how strong Joely stays through everything and when she starts to feel a wobblingly she goes to guys; even if Van keeps her at arms length. There are so many twists and turns in this book (Joely's mother just needs a wake up call!) that I can't wait to see what happens in book that I can't wait until the next book comes! I would recommend this book, this series thus far, and this great author!

Joely has found not one but 3 new boyfriends who are brothers. Turns out she is the one they have been looking for to complete their circle to save the world. They know who is in control and how he’s doing it...they just have to find a way to end it. Along the way, they discover a lot of things they didn’t know about the power and about Joely. Warning...this book does end on a cliffhanger. There is also some steamy sex, so be warned.

The author continues her excellent world building as she layers on more story.. definitely looking forward to the next book.

😒 I like the story idea but not enough to overlook a couple of weak ass plot devices that had me tossing my Kindle with a resounding "are you fucking kidding me" more than once. After a scene of I'm talking at you and you're talking at me, neither of us is listening, and now we're making assumptions - the shit hit the proverbial fan.

Immediately after a serious pot-stirring, not once, but twice our heroine runs off by herself and bad shit happens. On top of that, before each time one of the love interests was basically like "oh, yeah, cool. Bye."

Too stupid to live. All of them. I will not be continuing this series.

Who is she really? Joely is growing closer to Angus, Marco, and Van, but her sister, one especially is attacking and tormenting her. She knows she must be adopted because of her magic, but when Van uncovers what is really happening with the Society, she confronts her”parents” and she learns who her parents really are and why they gave her away. Now she’s alone, no family except her three guys. And they have to stop what is going on at the academy and stop the sacrifices. Joely and her guys are back in book two in the Society of Ancient Magic series and it picks up where book one left off. In this book secrets will be revealed and Joely is trying to learn her magic. Joely and the guys are getting closer as she starts falling for all three of them in this reverse harem. This entertaining story is filled with mystery, magic, suspense, intrigue, drama and so much more and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

"This series keeps getting better and better. There are so many unknot things yet and my heart broke for those three beautiful and handsome wolf guys. After everything went through- One of the moments I loved the most was when they were free to run as they pleased in their wolf form. Silly I know but that moments had me all happy. The super slow burn romance is killing me to be honest. Why?! I need love please with lots of action between all of the them at the same time. Is it the asking for much?"

The main character doesn't really think about things. I don't mean that she's impulsive, I mean that she... doesn't think. She finds out that she has magic all of a sudden, doesn't reflect on that at all. She finds out that she was switched at birth, barely a couple sentences to tell us how she feels. Her birth father attacks her and tries to murder her? Eh, I'll go back to my room and sleep with this guy. She just doesn't seem to reflect on anything or have any thoughts about what is happening to her. She's just sort of... swept along.

Well some big secrets came to light . The evil beings in sheep clothing. I can’t believe her dad is a evil psycho jerk, but so is one of her so called sisters and don’t even get me started mommy dearest blaming her for something she had absolutely no control over. Van is still blaming himself for what happened with his brother which hurts the others and throws them all out of wack . Because they’re all meant to be together,happy and in love . I can’t wait for book 3

The first part of this story is about her bond not only with her boyfriend Angus, but also with his brothers. And with Angus it was already hot, but adding his brothers to the mix makes it even better.

There are some secrets from her past coming out in this story.
And of course the evil isn't gone and they have to fight it and be smart about how to do that.

Great story with a strong woman and her men fighting evil.

Joely is back with her men for another fun filled time truing to discover how The Society of Ancient Magic is involved with what is going on at the school. Secrets are revealed and danger lurks around the corner. Joely and her men get closer and she discovers a few things about her past. I loved the ending and cannot wait to see what happens next. New characters are introduced and old ones reappear. Just a great addition to the series and so hard to put down.

Joel and the guys are still trying to figure out how they fit together in this second installment of the series. They are also trying to figure out how to stop Master Damon once and for all. Man, oh man. There is so much going on in this book. The “will they, won’t they” had me on edge the whole time. We’re getting to know what makes each of these characters tick, plus finally receiving some answers to questions we’ve had since the first book. Mages, wolves and vampires, oh my. Fast and easy read. Second book in series. Like the characters. Like that the female lead Joely is becoming stronger, hate the weak female leads. Strong alpha characters. Ongoing story, in to book 3.
