Blackfish Vs White Pointer

Rate this book
The Great White sharks off Surf Shore are the biggest, most dangerous in the world. This season, there are more than ever – aggressive and territorial – driven from surrounding hunting grounds by invading orcas. Great Whites have already attacked two boats. Six people have been killed. Now the orcas have followed the sharks to Surf Shore. Dr. Pete Nichols, Killer Whale specialist, senses the tempest. Shark-expert, Dr. Lauren Palmer believes she can stop it. For Kate Foster, it is theater – a spectacle to be exploited. But it will soon be life and death for them all. Because in a war of alpha-killers, humans are nothing but prey.

I’m going to level with everyone. I skimmed the last half of this book. It was so difficult to follow, and there were so many different points of view, animals included, action sequences, and so many names being thrown around, that I couldn’t keep track of a single damn thing. Very hard to follow and I found myself getting tired of going back and forth to remember everything. And the first portion of the eBook had a tremendous amount of formatting issues, with several different fonts and text sizes throughout. That was extremely distracting. But it was nice to see the characters from the previous stories intermingled, however it just way too busy and muddled to fully appreciate the effort that the author put into it. A fairly disappointing finale to this otherwise strong series.

What happens when you combine a variety of huge Great White Sharks in a territory they claim as their own, with beached Whale 🐋 carcasses deliberately towed out to the Shark's territory. Then you add TV crews, celebrities, hovering helicopters, boats of different sizes, and behemoth creatures that are angry as well as super dangerous with their size and how they are capable of mass destruction.

For a finale you throw in a couple groups of Orcas a natural enemy of the Great Whites who'd already l displaced the Sharks from their previous hunting grounds and you have the biggest recipe for multiple marine animal disaster.

I really liked how the author gave a voice to the animals so you knew what they were thinking and why they reacted the way they did. It was utter chaos but very entertaining and guarantees I'll be reading more of this author's books.

Good book!

My biggest irrational fear is sharks. Why is it irrational? Because I never go into the water. But I love to feed that fear by watching movies and reading books about sharks. This was a good book. Good enough that I have read it twice.

John Schneider is king of monster books, which is a niche genre to rule over but he does it well.

Excitng clash of bad guy sharks/good guy Orcas and one very annoyed Sperm Whale. Very entertaining. A sequel to the just as good book Black Fish Down. The Surf Bay community is in trouble. A population expolosion of seals have drawn in a ton of sharks....and very big ones. Thow in a bunch of not so smart humans trying to figure out away to keep the sharks from eating them up. The books a fun mix of all of the above. A very fast read by a very good writer.

Fun Read !!

This was a quick fun read. It’s got Orca’s, 22’ great white 🦈 Sharks, and a really, really angry Sperm Whale. The ocean eco-system is seriously out of balance. Oh Yeah, Don’t forget about lots of humans doing stupid things that get them eaten. It was simply put, A Fun Read!

A good one!

This is a sequel to Blackfish and is overall a good story. The beginning is slow with lots of characters with different agendas and lots of explanations about the different orca pods. If you can get through that, the last 1/2 of the book is really good, well written with LOTS of action!

Clash of the titans

Interesting twist given to the typical shark fictions one may have read. Action packed. Fast read. Finished in a day. Go for it.
