If I could rate this book 10 stars I would! It is such a gift to ourselves to have gentle reminders to play, slow down and connect.
I wanted to devour this book but tried to read it slowly to really enjoy and savor it. I only lasted 4 days.
I honestly want to buy this book for everyone I love for Christmas. I can’t wait to use some of these practices as a child life specialist with children facing illness/trauma/loss.
I have been a wonder seeker for about 8 years now and love to collect/photograph hearts, whimsical moments in nature, and magic. This book has definitely ignited my flame and I am so excited to be alive and I love that my 10 year old son gets to learn alongside me.
I can’t wait to try bibliomancy & create a blessing stick! I thoroughly enjoyed making book spine poems and this will be something I’ll look forward to after long days or quiet days. I’ll leave you with this one that resonates deeply.
“Joyful, the hill we climb, bearing the unbearable, a life everlasting, my beloved world.”
Thank you Andrea for creating this book, this loveline, this tool. There is beauty everywhere if you take the time to focus on it.
What a joy to have this book in my hands! The beautiful images and helpful prompts are fun and insightful! Andrea’s enthusiasm and zest for living a colorful, creative, full to the brim - life bounces off of the pages. I run women’s groups and there are so many great ideas in here for activities to do in my circles and also with my kids. And they are accessible too! The day I got it, I utilized some of her suggestions for cultivating wonder right away with my 6-year-old in tow in the produce aisle at the grocery store. It feels like a dance party in book form. Love it and can’t wait to give it as a gift to friends and family.
This gorgeous, multi-sensory romp through inner and outer landscapes offers a delectable selection of wonder possibilities. Andrea Scher is a wonder spirit guide -- and experienced practitioner -- whose relationship with joy is simply contagious. Part workbook, part coffee table book, part memoir, this book embraces sacred wisdom, expansive play, and the boundless possibilities of the human spirit.
Full of invitations for creative shenanigans, colorful inspirations for everyday adventures, and playful ways to make ordinary life more magical, this book frolics in delightful wonder. And not just one kind of wonder either—whether it's the wonder of nature, the wonder of connection, the wonder of being, or the wonder of serendipity, Andrea Scher's approach to sharing wonder is expansive. I LOVED this book and want to give it to all the other wonder seekers I know.
I love this book. I won it and at first wasn't sure about it. Andrea has put in book form a multitude of things to do to keep ones self active in creativity both in mind and body. Wish this had been around in my early years of marriage and raising a family both for my mental health and to give the children something different to do. I highly recommend this book for all ages. Especially loved the idea of "Spine Poetry" !!
I listened to this on audiobook and appreciate that the narrator was so full of zest. She really carried it off. Filled with a wide range of things to do/ make, although I feel that some of them are geared more towards extroverts. It was a pleasant experience reading this. Thank you for a bagful of wonderful ideas.
Here are some that I like: Take a curiosity walk Cloudspotting Ask someone about their first memories of wonder Leave a love note in a public place Create some mail art Refuse to know something for 24 hours
This is my new favorite book! It’s exactly what I needed to hear myself and I can’t wait to give it as a gift! It's perfect medicine for these times. We could ALL use more wonder right now!
Dr. Brené Brown said it perfectly on the cover: "“The PERFECT guide to help us slow down and find the beauty and wonder right in front of us.”
In Dare to Lead, Dr. Brown said, “In our desperate search for joy in our lives, we missed the memo: If we want to live a life of meaning and contribution, we have to become intentional about cultivating sleep and play. We have to let go of exhaustion, busyness, and productivity as status symbols and measures of self-worth. We are impressing no one.”
Andrea Scher’s Wonder Seeker is an antidote to both burnout & languishing. This lovely guide provides engaging & fun tools & practices, helping us learn to cultivate both rest & play.
Andrea teaches readers to ask ourselves, “how can I make this easy? how can I make it fun?!?” Get a copy of Wonder Seeker to learn how to create that reality and cultivate more joy in your life ☺️
I’ve been following Andrea for years online and this book is super filled with her wisdom about living a life full of wonder and beauty. I plan to follow it week by week in 2022 to dust off the cobwebs from the past two years.
Andrea is absolutely Wonder-FULL, and so is this book! I’ve participated in several of Andrea’s online e-courses over the years, and they were an absolute delight! So, it was a definite YES when Andrea opened invitations for her book launch team. The book itself is a burst of beautiful colors that make me smile each time I pick it up and open it….I love flipping through it in between my reading time and creative wonder-ing. The activity prompts in this book are fun, engaging, connecting…..they definitely tap into curiosity! Some activities are familiar to me from other creative times being guided by Andrea, but I’m loving exploring them again - each time is different! Pick up this book and become a Wonder Seeker! Disclosure: I’m glad to give this book review after receiving a book as part Andrea’s book launch team for “Wonder Seeker”.
This book was not meant to be read in the way that I was reading it, meaning at 1.7 speed while on a road trip. It is meant to be a weekly challenge to try for a year to add more joy, wonder, adventure, curiosity, and wholehearted living to your life. If I used it in that way I probably would have enjoyed it and thought it was a decent use of my time and mind. But in the way that I read it can come off as slightly shallow and overly positive, with enough new age spirituality to make me approach with a tiny bit of caution. Much love to the author who cares about sharing more love and hope for people in the world, and I would like to grow and be inspired to increase my wonder quotient. Might return to this in a different format one day.
i follow 3 different people on instagram who are prioritizing play in their everyday lives and to listen to their inner child. so when i found this book at the library i was like yes! this will be a great book and it was. this book is one giant invitation for creative shenanigans, colorful inspirations for everyday adventures and playful ways to make ordinary life more magical. there's wonder everywhere. the wonder of nature, the wonder of connection, the wonder of being.. the list goes on. just a great reminder that wonder is all around us
A delightful book of inspirational writing, there were a few suggestions here that were new to me, and many familiar ones I hadn't connected with in some time. A book to dip into at random, or read all the way through, this would make a great gift for a lapsed artist (any medium) or anyone looking for some uplift, encouragement, and joy! Beautifully illustrated and lots of fun.
This book surpassed my expectations. Many inspiring, fun, creative ideas. I don’t care to hold onto books after I’ve read them, but this one would make a good coffee table book. And the narrator had the perfect voice for the content.
What a beautiful book! I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. I found it 'randomly' at the library and picked it up because one of my 2025 intentions is to have more joy in my life. I laughed, I cried and I wrote down some great ideas to bring joy in. Thank you for writing this book Andrea!
Love Andrea’s work and courses. This book brings the energy of those things together in one book. She always adds grounded fun and adventure to anything she does. Highly recommend.
A wonderful resource for creative folks and those who don't think they are creative. Back door experiences shine a light on paying attention and finding wonder wherever you are.
