NAUCA – DAUGHTER OF THE STEPPES is a historical fiction novel telling the story of a Sarmatian girl born in the year 80 BCE in the region of the Caucasus North of the Black Sea, and this at a time King Mithridates VI of Pontus is at war with the Romans. A strong, proud and intelligent girl, Nauca will grow up to be worthy of being called an ‘Amazon’, becoming a first-class archer, horse rider, huntress and warrior. However, a personal tragedy will push her into traveling beyond her beloved steppes and experience the rest of the World.

I am a retired pensioner and I write purely as a hobby, not to make money. I retired from the Canadian Forces in 2006 after serving 32 years. I am married, with two grown sons, and live in Boucherville, on the South Shore of Montreal. My native language is French and I am fluent in English, plus speak a limited Spanish. I read a lot, mostly about history, military affairs and technology, air and space events and World news. My hobbies are writing and reading. I write strictly as a hobby, not to make money, and offer my books free online.

Nice story. I like history and this gave me more data on a part of the world that I do not know so much about.

Well written book of travels during trade of silk across the wide expanse of the caravan routes. Written in a complex era of trade of varied goods and breathes life into a time past of brave hardy people. Fred
