Bree Diamond is a private detective in the 1940's doing all the things a badass Lady PO is supposed to do. Then suddenly she's sitting in a kitchen 70 something years into the future with a naked man in front of her that claims to be the writer, Dick Schneider, that crated her. She has always known that she's a book character but always thought the man that created her is in her time. He's in trouble so that's why she's here, to help him and also his Daughter Emma. That was a year ago. Now Bree finds herself back in Dick's kitchen not knowing why she's here. Emma's police chief boyfriend is getting ready to pop the question. Of course, she's going to say yes but there's a catch. Three years ago, Emma was engaged to be married but her fiancé disappeared a week before the wedding. After he disappeared, she realized that she knew almost nothing about him. All she wants is some kind of closure before she says yes and if anyone can help her it's Bree Diamond. What Emma didn't expect was a secret security group and an assassin that wants to kill her ex fiancé as well as her and her Dad.
