Josh has always had a thing for Noelle his youngers sister's best friend but he took a step back to let her grow up and finish school. Now hes done waiting he's making his move and their first night is steamy and confusing since Noelle is pushing him away.
Noelle doesn't wanna ruin her friendship also doesn't think Josh sees her in that light even if she gave him her vcard, now hes always around along with Eric the guy who broke her best friends heart. Couple small dramas and surprises along the way.

HERO - Josh Price. All-american cowboy. Muscular. Short dark hair and brown eyes.
HEROINE - Noelle. Recent high school graduate. Attends culinary school. Long blonde hair. Subtle freckles on her nose and cheeks. Has dimples and wears glasses.
OVERALL THOUGHTS - First, I want to say that this was a very cute story. Josh is the son of Bunny and Jameson from Never Let Go. Noelle is his little sister’s best friend. I enjoyed Josh as the “good ol’ boy” turned dominant alpha male when it came to Noelle. I loved seeing characters from the past books. However, I have issues.
Let’s start with the least of them - Noelle. Don’t get me wrong, she was a fine heroine. The only thing that bugged me about her was that, for someone who grew up around Josh and knows first-hand that he’s a good guy, she had very little faith in him. Her constant disbelief of his feelings for her really started to grate on my nerves. In fact, of the two of them, she’s the shadier one considering
The far bigger issue, though, is the timeline. How much older is Josh than Noelle?
If you read the spoiler, you can see why I’m so frustrated. I could never get a handle on when all of these events took place and it left me feeling disoriented. My other issue was with character descriptions. Our hero barely got any. We didn’t even find out his hair color until chapter 10. The only reason I know he has brown eyes is because it was mentioned in the epilogue of his parents’ book that he has his mother’s eyes, which happen to be brown. Noelle was described in more detail, thankfully, though we never learn her eye color either. Honestly, how do two people falling love NOT notice each other’s eye colors?
I did skim through the excerpt from Daisy and Eric’s story and I see that some of the info I was missing from this book might be in there, but here’s the thing - I should never have to refer to other books to get basic information that should be provided in the book I’m currently reading. I should NOT have to read another couple’s book to find out the age of the hero is THIS book.
In general, this was a sweet story that flowed well. I didn’t find myself feeling bored at any point. I enjoyed all the characters, even Noelle, despite her trust issues. I liked revisiting old characters. If it wasn’t for the issues mentioned above, I would have been all in for this book. As it stands, it's the middle of the road for me.
OTT hero who has been waiting for the right time to make his move on his sister's best-friend. He wants her with his ring on her finger and won't let her uncertainty impede him. Now that she's graduated he is ready to make his move.
DNF 20% This is the first one i decided to not finish by this author The plot it's all over the place, honestly it doesn't make any sense. That prologue? man, that one? was what made me say immediately that i will not like this one. Again, no build up, ok they know of each other since they were little, she is his sister BFF but this doesn't mean we didn't need at least a few scenes between them you know? or something about the past...we get NOTHING! In the prologue he decided to finally go after her, he brings her in his room, and they had sex RIGHT AWAY! damn i was like...wtf...at least first have some convo or i dunno some attraction pull before they go all the way?? then after that she pushes away from him... We start the book a few months later...with them not being together and her moving away... again he closed her in a room and started to kiss her or whatever. I DNF'd it before i gave 1 star. There isn't in it what i needed from it to let me like them. Hopefully Eric's and the sister book is better.
Romance genre: sister's best friend Series: Forever Length: 86 pages
Plot: Josh is Jameson and Bunny's son, from Never Let Go. He's been in love with Noelle, his sister's best friend (Bowen and P.J.'s daughter from Never Been Kissed) forever, but she's younger than he is, so he's had to wait for her. There's a slight problem though; at her graduation party, she sees him with another girl and suspects the worst. So she pushes him away and gives him the cold shoulder. He's not through with his girl though; he'll make her see the truth, no matter what.
Commentary: This was one of those silly "if they only communicated" storylines. How Noelle could possibly doubt Josh I don't know, but it sounds like maybe he wasn't completely honest about the depths of his adoration, and so she believed that it was possible for him to love someone else. He showed an amazing amount of restraint compared to most of this author's heroes when he gave her space for those months. Cute story though, and as always, beautiful cover!
Josh has been waiting for the right time to make Noelle his and that time has finally come. Nothing will stand in his way!!
-safe read -dual virgins (it never specifically said Josh was virgin, but the comments from him suggested so.) -no om/ow drama -epilogue about 7 months and many years.
Josh is Jameson and Bunny’s child from Never Let Go.
As usual with Lucy Darling male leads Josh is awesome. I thought the writing in the beginning was a little weird because he refers to Noelle as an annoying teenager (something along those lines) implying he wasn't romantically interested in her when he went away to college, which opens up the question as to his experience while away at college but it seems like he was definitely a virgin as well and based on his narrative throughout the rest of the book he was into her basically forever and knew she would be his one & only.
I certainly understood Noelle's uncertainty and unease over her relationship with Josh because his family really was her true family. That would be such a scary thing to think she might lose if things went south with Josh, luckily (and obviously) that's not the case here.
I'm thinking the next book will be pretty angsty which I'm excited for but I hope the author didn't give away too much of Daisy & Eric's story in this book. I feel like I almost already got their story at the end of this book.

Josh is done waiting for the right time to claim Noelle as his forever... Noelle has been wanting Josh for years but doesn’t want to hurt the family dynamic and risk loosing the only family she’s ever really had.. but he’s determined to make her his and he will push just enough to get her where he wants her and when a surprise comes up, he finally gets her exactly where he was hoping to get her! If you’ve read All of Lucy Darling’s books, you will most definitely remember characters that appear in this book as well as a new story line! Wonderful in depth epilogues and prologues of more to come in the cowboy series! 🤠❤️
This was a quick and steamy novella that I flew through on my lunch break. I’m a sucker for the best friend's brother trope and this was full of those feelings. Josh knew he wanted Noelle and I’m always a sucker for a guy who goes after what he wants. They were cute together and I loved it when his inner caveman came out with Noelle.
I’ve read a few books by Lucy Darling and can see her easily becoming a go to author for insta love novellas when the mood strikes.
Forever Her Cowboy by Lucy Darling is the story of Noelle and Josh. Josh has always known that he would one day make Noelle his but because she was his sister's friend along with waiting for her to grow up held him back. Now she and his sister are moving away to college and he moves forward to make his intentions know. Of course Noelle has had feeling for him too. Quick Hot Read
Lucy D has quickly earned my trust for being a go to author who I can one-click with ease. I can depend that she ISNT going to have cheating, abuse, crappy love scenes, heroines who don’t belong completely to their heroes or Zeroes instead of heroes.
This book was what I’ve come to expect: lots of sweetness, a fun story, a smart and feisty heroine and a devoted, possessive alpha who is COMPLETELY COMMITTED to his one and only. And the CHERRIES ON TOP, this one was DOUBLE VIRGINS, soooo DOUBLE SWOON! They belong ONLY to each other, no sliming around with others and severing the connection that comes from being sexually initiated by the other. You never forget your first and who wants their soul mate to carry the memory of another in such a personal and intimate and powerful moment, to have that belong to some meaningless loser?! Can’t get it back once it’s thrown away on someone unworthy.
This one goes in the “LURVED it so much I bought it” file. Goes without saying, no cheating, no ow/om drama, no abuse, HEA with epilogues, last one a few years out.
I’m not sure I need to say much about this story! This is the love story of Noelle and Josh. Josh is Bunny and Jameson’s son! Do I really need to say any more.

One second Josh was calling her a 'crazy teenager', and then babbled on about how he fell for her when she turned out to become a beautiful woman.
I'm sorry but that was a huge turn-off for me, he literally implies that he fell in love with her because of her looks and nothing else mattered to him. And to add to that, this happens at the very beginning, so I had to mentally cheer myself on in order to finish the book.
To add to my misery, it didn't get any better after that. Here's Josh vowing that he won't let go of Noelle again, and the very next second, (and I ain't even joking!), Josh is like -
*Smooch
C'mon girl, if I start once I ain't stopping.
And Noelle's like-
Don't stop, let's get this done with.
...uh, not exactly, but that sums it up.
After they're done doing the deed, Noelle's like-
Umm, you've always been wayy out of my league, I've never even had such thoughts about you and you might get bored of me...but who the heck cares, let's just have more sex!
This entire book made absolutely zero sense to me. I didn't enjoy reading this.
Well..this was a nice little surprise. The children of couples from previous books are always a joy to read. I would have liked for this to be a definite dual virgin story but we don't get that confirmation. It was still a good little read. Virgin h, no info on H, which broke my heart especially since they've know each other since they were kids. But I guess we gotta make readers who hate dual virgin stories happy too. No cheating or abuse, epilogues many months and many years later. Now...on to Eric's story which I can NOT wait for.
Wow! This story pulled me in immediately. I wasn't planning on reading it as soon as I got it, but once I started, I couldn't stop until I finished. It was very entertaining and fun. There were plenty of feels. The characters were interesting. I look forward to reading Daisy and Eric's book as they were the best friends that Josh and Noelle could have. Josh was all-in for quite a while but was patient until he couldn't be patient anymore. He let Noelle know that he wanted to keep her. Noelle had never imagined that Josh could be interested in her. She is both happy and afraid of what it means since she is so close with his family. Josh wants Noelle to be happy and he knows that he can make her happy and loved. They are so cute together. I loved that Josh was like I love you no matter what and what can I do/get/whatever to make you happy, and then did it! Noelle wasn't prepared for Josh to love her so much but she definitely needed it and him. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book.

Couldn't really enjoy it fully because of the way it was written. I could hardly keep up with who was saying what because of the writing.
The story jumped right in with no background whatsoever on the characters, which made it difficult for me to relate and feel their connection. The plot was, at times, all over the place and made it hard to follow. For example, in the beginning Josh says he never saw Noelle that way until he came back from college. But towards the end, it refers back to his high school graduation night and how he didn't want to leave her. I know this is a short story but a little consistency would be nice.

Sweet little romance between a good boy and the pageant girl of his dreams. This good cowboy is tired of waiting, and he takes his girl all the way to claim her. It's fast, it's hot, and it's got consequences. The story is very sweet and sexy. I liked that he does everything possible to convince her they are forever, not only by helping her and supporting her dreams, but also by acklowledging her worth.
There’s some entertaining scenes with his best friend and sister, and a funny epilogue some years later. Cute.
This is a good fast read. Its a legacy book. The MCs are the children from Bunny & PJs book. But you don't have to have read those to read this one. Overall it was a good book. I wish it was longer and at times it felt more like a summary but still good. The steam was interesting but I wish it would have been more detailed 3.5/5. I hate when authors make things vague, like he said something romantic ... uh just tell us what he said exactly and ill decide if it was romantic.
Love fest right from the get go. Josh has loved Noelle for years, and has decided it’s time to show her. She can’t resist him, though because of her shaky relationship with her family, she’s a little gun shy. But you can’t stop true love ❤️ And Josh shows her they are meant to be
