This book was annoying and frustrating. I’ll even go as far as saying it was kind of a hot mess. After loving Gunner in the first and second book I shouldn’t be surprised that I absolutely hated him in his own book! I hate when authors do this. Take a completely lovable character and make them the villain in their own book. It makes no sense to me!!
Gunner is 50 freaking years old and yet he acted so immature treating Lexa like crap because he wanted her but couldn’t have her. This is another thing I hate when authors do. Making a grown ass man of 50 a complete child because they can’t handle their feelings. Lexa is his daughter’s friend and so to him she was completely off limits. But of course no one else could touch her or even look at her!
Lexa wasn’t much better. She constantly threw herself at Gunner it was so cringy and embarrassing. Like he keeps pulling away from her and her dumb ass just follows him across the room. Keeps touching him when clearly he’s TRYING TO GET AWAY FROM HER!!
He pushed her away for most of the book. And then out of no where he’s like I love you! This is where she should be ecstatic right, since she’s been chasing him? No! His daughter, Everly, who is her friend finds out about them and she’s all no I can’t do this! And then runs away and plans on leaving town? Like overreact much?
In the epilogue she finds out she’s pregnant and Gunner is all surprised like, we were careful!! Uhh no you were not because I specifically remember there being no condom use in any of the sex scenes in this book. So please tell me..when were you careful?
Also this book revolved too much around Everly. I didn’t read her book but I don’t think I would have liked it because she’s annoying as hell.
See..hot mess of a book!!! Anyway I will continue the series because I Loved Doc and I have to believe another one of these guys will have a decent book.

AMAZING! A fantastic, well written read. An intense storyline that holds your attention as you get caught up in the fierce twists and hot chemistry. Plenty of excitement and emotionally heartfelt. A thrilling must read.

Newly single (like her boyfriend dumped her at the airport), Lexa comes into town to help run her best friend Everly's PT practice while Every goes on maternity leave. The first night, Lexa is in a bar and gets hit on by a jerk. She's also noticed by a hot older biker, who comes to help when the guy hitting on her becomes a jerk. The interest is mutual and they spend a steamy night together.
Cue the next day. We meet Everly and discover the hot older biker, Gunner is Everly's dad and a founding member of the Tempest MC. Surprise! Also, part of Everly's PT practice is working with the MC members, as well as a office in town.
Lexa and Gunner decide to keep their one night stand a secret, as to not hurt Everly. But then Every suggests Lexa move in with Gunner. They have a hard time resisting each other, and eventually give in, seeing each other secretly. There's a good mix of hot sex, and romance between the two. Of course, there's also club drama, and issues with a rival MC. Add in the "when will Everly find out, and how will everyone react" as well as the age gap issue, and it's a good, quick read with a good plot.
My only reason for 3.5 stars is there were some jumping around in the story, and editing issues. For example, Everly is having a baby, then discovers she's having twins. But after that part of the story, the baby is often referred to as a single baby, not twins (ex, him/her vs them/they, this baby instead of these babies). It just took away from what is a really good story, and good romance. I still enjoyed reading it, and think others will too. Especially if you like age gap romances

Plot: Lexa is in town (after getting dumped by her boyfriend) to help out her best friend who is going on maternity leave. When she first gets to town, she has a hot hook-up with an older guy, only to find out later that he's her best friend's dad. This is obviously a problem, so they're going to pretend it never happened - until they can't pretend anymore.
Commentary: There was more than just the age-gap forbidden love going on; there was also the MC troubles and the minor storyline of the best friend (which provides the catalyst for this story). That added enough interest beyond the main story. I do like an age-gap though, and I liked that in this story, the heroine was already through with her education and had an actual profession. It ensured that both characters had some maturity about them, which was nice for a change.

They should stay away from each other but it is impossible when the heart wants what it wants
Gunner is the third book in the Tempest Elite MC series and is the story of Gunner and Lexa, real names Micheal and Alexandra. Gunner is pushing fifty and is the father of a grown and married daughter, Everly. He is also one of the founding members of the Tempest Elite MC. One night he, Bear, Doc and Bull are out at a local bar to get a drink away from the club and unwind a bit. That is when he sees the young curvy beauty walk in and he starts to have some entertaining thoughts about her and him together.
Lexa is a physical therapist who has just moved to town to work with a friend she went to college with who is going to go on maternity leave shortly. In the last twenty-four hours she life has blown up in that she was supposed to move with her live-in boyfriend only he decided that he was not coming and did not want a long distance relationship. So after catching an earlier flight and a long day of travel she checks into a hotel and decides to get out and get a drink at the bar across the street. Things are going well until they aren't and in steps a very large older man who had been sitting at a table in the back of the bar with some friends.
Alexandra meet Michael and Micheal meet Alexandra. They may be mismatched by years but Lexa has a thing for older men, especially when they look like this big sex-on-a-stick man to came to her rescue. After a few more drinks and shots Gunner walks Lexa back across the street to her hotel, then up to her room and ends up inside with her where there is some intense and satisfying mattress time between them. Gunner leaves once Lexa has fallen asleep in his arms and heads back to the club house.
Well you can imagine the surprise for both of them when Lexa shows up at the club house early the next morning to meet Everly and start to get oriented with things only to find Gunner serving up some breakfast and that he is Everly's father. Can anyone say awkward!!! Then add onto that when Everly decides Lexa should not stay at the hotel while they find her a place to live and instead should stay with Gunner, after all he has the room at his house. Yep things are about to get interesting between these two. But add in a coming club war and other things and the drama just continues to ensue. But what the heart wants, and body craves, means that Lexa and Gunner continue to play with fire as they cannot stay away from each other no matter how hard they try.
This book continues the fast-paced action and drama of the previous books in the series. The characters of the club and the overarching story-line continue to pop up and play a part in the central story of Gunner and Lexa's love story. I enjoyed this book and the series so far.

Book 3 in the Tempest Elite MC series this book follows Gunner and Lexa's story. Lexa's life got turned upside down by being dumped by her boyfriend after taking a new job in a different town and now shes staying in a hotel where the highlight of her day is going to the dive bar across the street where she ends up being rescued from a guy who wont take no for an answer by Gunner, the silver fox she noted in the bar earlier. Gunner wouldnt stand by seeing the curvy goddess at the bar being trapped so intervened and now shes a bit tipsy he takes her back to her hotel where she invites him in and although he told himself shes young enough to be his daughter he couldn't say no. They think its just for one night but when Lexa turns up at the club house and Everly introduces her old best friend to her father Gunner as the new Physical therapist, they're both stunned and play at pretending last night didnt happen, even when they both have undeniable attraction to each other simmering under the surface. How will they fair having to live under the same roof? And hiding their past and connection from Everly. But is that really for the best could they make a relationship work even with the troubles with the Devils MC ahead. Well written with a great story line and character you cant help fall in love with and root for!

Gunner older should be wiser but he knows that Lexa is going to be trouble he just didn't relize the new therapist helping his daughter out was his one night stand. So now she's completely off limits. But when his family his club and Lexa are in danger he relizes he doesn't want to lose Lexa. But will his daughter understand his love for her friend.
This book was just okay the story lost me at times it jumped around a little bit there were two babies then one then back to two there was this whole club war thing that just disappeared by the endcof the book. This just my opinion and someone else may have a different opinion. So im giving this book a 3.4 rating i liked all the characters just not the plot.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Lexa has come to town to help out her best friend. When she goes for a drink, trouble finds her. Gunner,a sexy older man, is there to step in. The attraction between is them fast and electrical. With a little liquid courage already, she invites him back to her room. That one night changes everything. When they are introduced by his daughter, things get complicated fast. Gunner and Lexa try to fight the attraction because of Everly. They have a few roadblocks to get thru to have their happy ending. This was a short, sweet, steamy book with good writing. I thought the characters were great. I look forward to the next book in the Tempest Elite MC series

When Tempest Elite members chill at a neutral bar to get their mind off club business they were looking to avoid trouble. Unfortunately new in town Lexa seems to attract trouble like a moth to a flame and it's not long before Gunner needs to step in and save the beautiful newcomer. One night of passion and it's back to reality in the morning except Oops, Lexa is in town to fill in for Gunners daughter while shes on maternity leave. They quickly decide for the sake of Everly, Gunners daughter, that it cant happen again. When Everly suggests Lexa stay with Gunner how will either of them make it work? Very happy conclusion to this biker series. Read Bear and Doc first for some context...

Wow! I loved seeing Gunner get his HEA. Like all in the Tempest Elite MC, Gunner doesn't take the easy road to love. Lexa, his daughter's best friend, the one who is there to make his daughter's pregnancy easier, is also the sweetest and most understanding woman. From the moment they see each other at a bar, not knowing who the other was, Lexa and Gunner have an electric connection. On their way to their own HEA, they must navigate misunderstandings, a daughter's shock, and a rival MC making threats. But their love is true, and in the end, that's all that matters. A bit rough, not really dark, this is a great read for a relaxing evening. Happy Reading!!

I really enjoyed Gunner by Reagan Phillips. It's book 3 in the Tempest Elite MC Series. And while it is a standalone, I will definitely be reading the first 2. Lexa has agreed to fill for her friend Everly while her she is on maternity leave. She doesn't expect to meet sexy biker Gunner at the bar her first night in town. They share an amazing night together only to find out the next morning that he is her friend's father. The chemistry between Gunner and Lexa is intense and off the charts hot. Gunner knows he is twice her age and his daughter will aways come first but will he be able to stay away from Lexa? There is also a building threat between a rival biker gang that threatens the club and anyone close to them including Lexa and his daughter Everly. Great read!

This is the third book set in the world of the Tempest Elite MC and this time we get Gunner and Lexa's story It flows well and kept me engaged until I turned the last page and what more could you want from a story

Gunner is the third book of Reagan Phillips’ Tempest Elite MC series. This book focuses on an age-gap and forbidden love story involving Lexa and Gunner. She is a physical therapist and the best friend of Gunner’s daughter, Everly. He is a member of the Tempest Elite MC. Lexa and Gunner have a one-night stand. Later when they meet up, they are surprised at the connection and are uncomfortable. That intensifies when Everly invites Lex to stay at Gunner’s house. How will these two handle the situation? Will they find happiness? You must read this book to find out what happens.
Yet again, Ms. Phillips penned an intriguing biker romance tale with a character-driven plotline. Her plotline is woven with several rising action points that keep the reader riveted to this book. I enjoy her writing style and her likeable characters. She uses rich dialog and vivid descriptive scenes. Way to go Ms. Phillips!

This a wonderful, standalone, book 3 in the Tempest Elite MC with an interesting older alpha Male and younger woman find a hot one night stand that turns into trouble. She is his dughters friend here to live with them as her PT. His feelinf and hers run hotter than just a one and done. Can they survive the MC war and will his daughter understand. A good read of a series I am going to have have to read the first two books to catch up.

This is the third book in this Tempest Elite MC series. This is the story of Lexa and Gunner. Lexa is helping her friend out. Her first night she is in a bar and meets Gunner a sexy older biker and they have an amazing night. The next day she is introduced to her friend's dad and it is none other than Gunner. Their attraction to one another is sizzling. They need to stay away from one another but will that happen? The story will hold your attention all the way through. A great read.

This is my first time reading this author and I really enjoyed this story. I love older men/younger curvy women stories and this was no exception. Gunner is the hot silver fox and an officer in the Tempest Elite MC and Lexa is his daughter's friend who has come into town to help her out. With this slightly taboo storyline, their is just enough heat to keep you warm.

Dark and Gritty!
I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too.
Also, it caused me to lose quite a bit of sleep while I was reading it, because it was so hard to put down at night.

An entertaining instalove older man younger woman book three in the Tempest Elite MC series! It is fast pace, well written, engaging, passionate, funny, witty, steamy, and emotionally deep with drama, suspense, action, danger, twists and turns, and more. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is instant and off the charts. Definitely recommended!

I love these guys. I've read all three books, and I hope there are more to come! Each book builds on the stories and relationships and I would love to read more. This is the 1st book I've read written by Reagan Phillips; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Three and a half stars
This one just didn't really do much for me. I read a lot of MC books and felt this one fell a bit flat. I mean it wasn't a bad read it is just not one I would go out of my way to read again

Great read
This has been my favorite out of the series . This is an age gap, best friend’s father romance. We also follow up with the club and their pending turf war. Gunner has long been my favorite of the Mc members and I love how sweet he is with his daughter Everly. When Everly’s best friend comes to town Gunner tries to stay away .

Amazing five stars!!!
What a read that this was. This is the third book in this series. I really enjoyed this story. It has a gripping storyline that draws you in from the beginning. The characters are so likeable and have great chemistry between them. This is one story not to be miss!!!

Was feeling in the MC mood and picked up a series that I had started a long time ago and rated well. Honestly, I liked the characters way more at the beginning of the book than I did at the end. For some reason, (probably Everly?) they grated on me as the story progressed.

Reagan Phillips has given us another well written and entertaining addition to the series. While I enjoyed the book, I am bored by the older man/younger woman trope.
