Crystel loves cute guys - especially when there are two of them in a romance novel who are meant to be! And she likes it best when she can create their plights and fights herself. Her stories come with a product promise: no fade-outs when things get steamy or emotional, and an ending that will leave you smiling. Crystel is a lawyer by training, a lover of pastry, and a believer in Happy Ever Afters. She lives in the Austrian Alps with her big, noisy family.
Gosh, I love this hugely intense read, a rogue king and a feisty omega.
Finding a hurt alpha in the woods makes Shae jump into his nurse mode. There’s so much about this huge alpha that should make him scared and leave, but no, the attraction pulls instead of pushes.
Marc’s body screams to make Shae Greyson his. His teeth want to sink in the omega’s throat, his cock wants to sink into all the delicious-smelling juices. Everything screams to bond, but he can’t and he won’t. Marc has one purpose in life and that’s revenge, killing the ones who killed his parents and whole pack. Not even this feisty omega can change this, can’t he? When Marc finally convinced Shae to leave, he doesn’t know how fast to get him back, only, Shae is kidnapped by Marc’s enemy.
Oh boy, what a journey, so many feelings, attraction, protection, hurt comfort, all the best feelings to make this an awesome thrilling stunning read! The family who wants to protect, rogues who are the best, and some vicious enemies. The author has a wonderful way of writing to keep the reader glued to the pages, no matter if there are fifty or three hundred and fifty pages, I just don’t want to put it down before I finished the story!
3.75 stars Some of the things in this one happened exactly how I expected, but there were at least two surprises that I hadn't anticipated, which made it a little better book. I particularly liked the relationship between Shae and the old porter Varonn -- hadn't seen that coming in the slightest, although I really should have. I'm very much looking forward to Sky's book, which should wrap things up nicely for the series, although it sounds like it's going to be a bit of a wait for it to be finished.
My advice is to read this series from book one to better understand the world-building, the ongoing series plotline and one major unmasking that took place in Shae.
This book turned out to be an exciting action filled tale of rogues and heroes. When Shae saved rogue alpha Marc's life, he didn't expect he'd eventually find himself one of the main protagonists in taking down the villain behind the shifter killings all over the country. While Marc and Shae live a whirlwind romance, the plot moves forward with twists and turns, and surprises from both friends and foes.
A combination of romance, action and suspense, this book kept me guessing and captivated until the very end. Recommended.
Ending too abrupt. First book by Crystel I’ve read. I haven’t therefore read any of the other Fennys Den books. I don’t think that mattered because I knew the other brothers through this book. I probably won’t read another in the near future. An excerpt drew me in. Quite good storyline but as I was reading I kept changing back and forth, in my mind, between it being contemporary and historical probably because of the Pirate theme. It’s contemporary Alpha/Omega non shifter.
I think this was the book I liked the least in the saga, I expected more bad guy, but there really wasn't anything bad guy, just being a "murderer". I was really excited for some romance a little dark, but there was none of that, not bad, but maybe something predictive, maybe a cliché, good guy who wants something different and doesn't care about anything but messing with the bad guy (what oh surprise it's not a bad thing at all)
Shae, an omega, finds Marc in the woods. Marc an alpha, he wants to claim Shae, but he first must deal with the ones who killed his parents. This was sooo good! So many emotions, hurt/comfort, fantastic attraction. Overall, a great story!! The story was well written and flowed nicely, highly recommend.
Really really enjoyed this one and with each book the MC’s become my favourite characters. I love the fieriness of Shae and Marc is his perfect mate. I hope Sky and Ice get a book too
The pull between Shae and Marc is powerful and easy for both characters and readers to get caught up in– after their first meeting I knew their story would be intense and worth every moment, and I wasn’t disappointed. There are plenty of emotions, intense chemistry, and a story that is several journeys folded into one page-turning adventure. Marc is driven and complicated and interesting for it, and Shae is amazing: I loved his determination, his personality, and pretty much everything about him. Well worth a read.
