This is such a heart fluttering romance, with no dramatic plot, a little painful at times but not in an angsty way. This is a simple rebirth, second chance romance but definitely very sweet.
The synopsis is very straightforward and it already showed you what you should expect from the story. The lack of communication and misunderstanding are the actual reasons for the wistfully tragic romance between the FL and ML on their first life and usually, those tropes are some of my major pet peeves in stories. But the good thing with this is that the misunderstandings are not too draggy since mostly all the misunderstandings already happened in the past life and with the rebirth, the FL tried to take the initiative to take a step forward in truly understanding their relationship as well as the ML himself, so the communication is starting to function in their relationship as well.
I loved seeing not the usual overbearing, confident ML but instead a flawed ML with a low self-esteem and have a lot of insecurities buried in his heart. A little frustrating at times with the way he never expresses himself but there's a legitimate reason for how he ended up the way he is. And even though it felt like he's mostly the reason for the whole misunderstanding, for me, the blame is equally both on the FL and ML's head on this one. As I said, I would have not liked this as much if the story is longer and the misunderstanding is more draggy. Glad it was not.
The rebirth is more focused on the two people truly understanding each other for the first time so even though there's a little emotional scenes from time to time, there's more sweetness. It only has 60 chapters in total so it's a fairly quick read and I think it's really worth reading. The title is also very suitable for what's happening in the plot.

I rarely read chinese webnovel aside from danmei but tried this one because it has my favorite trope (rebirth), and certainly it did not disappoint.
I liked how mature Su Hang & Shen Xi's relationship despite their lack of communication. The rebirth trope was utilised pretty well, and it's sort of refreshing to have a character like Shen Xi who stayed consistent to her logic even when she was reborn to go through the same life and marriage with Su Hang. Su Hang suffered a lot during his first life, and it frankly felt more touching that both of them got a second chance to save their marriage in the second lifetime.
The story was solid, it wasn't too long, and the extra chapters were really good too. Liked it plenty overall.

Oh my gawd please feel sorry for Xiao Xi for having to give the same birth twice!!! That’s all I can think about!

Divorce era didn't hit but I like second chances tropes especially with one of em reborn, adds the angst ahh. The extras needed to be the main story, need the tropes to have a switcharoo otherwise it was plain fluff.

This was very cute! Relaxing and...sweet. Possibly the first "rebirth"/"reincarnation" novel I've read where its just pleasant, slice of life story where a character realizes the extent of what they lost and didn't act like a brat.
Shen Xi didn't rush into a relationship despite returning through time and learning her ex-husband had loved her for so long. Why should she? His loving her for years in silence didn't suddenly make her love him.
What it did was give her the impetus to open herself up to him and build a genuine relationship free of the knowledge (misleading as it was) that he was indifferent to her because of someone else.
It was a nice change from my recent spat of hugely dramatic stories.

Shen Xi lived all five years of her marriage thinking her husband, Su Hang, only cared about his first love. It was only at his funeral after their divorce she found out that his first love was herself. She returns to the day after her marriage and sees life and her relationship with new eyes and just a little annoyed that her husband didn't speak his heart. She determined to get him to confess the truth this time around.
A short but sweet tale with several hints of bitterness. Su Hang did *not* have a happy childhood.

thought abt giving this a three but i've reread this an ungodly number of times just for the misunderstanding/miscommunication/unrequited love angst so 4 stars it is. technically a fluff book with a happy ending but also ended up being a lot more angsty than i expected it to be its crazy how well the fluff and angst is balanced

I wasn’t expecting much from the story but then I’m totally HOOKED!! 💯
I can’t stop grinning an squealing throughout the story. I just found out about Josei genre and this book is also in the genre.
Shen Xi’s demeanour is calm and always stick to her principle. She didn’t rush him or get into a major emotional breakdown when knowing the truth, instead she spend time observing, tried to be more understanding and showing her feelings through her action so that Su Hang could realise it.
Su Hang’s personality touched my heart. He went through a lot and only meet catastrophes in his life. His previous life is very heart-aching, he lost his loved one, went bankrupt and died alone without never uttering his earnest confession. I’m glad Shen Xi knows the truth and tried her very best to get him out of his inferiority complex and the wall that has been impeding his life all this time.
Their story is full of fluffiness, especially Su Hang’s bewilderment and dazedness towards Shen Xi’s attention towards him. I can’t find a more adorable couple than them! The ending is far from disappointing, and i spent days afterwards giggling randomly whenever they across my mind 💗 this is probably the best Chinese-translated novel I’ve ever read ✨

The definition of bittersweet. It was also incredibly romantic. I was glad they got a do over (the beginning was just so sad) and it was nice to see them grow together. However, I found myself siding with Shen Xi... she learned from her mistakes and really made it easy for him to open up. Su Hang could summon the courage to *leave* her but couldn't tell her he loved her?! Yeah, their problems were 80% his fault.

cute! su hang annoyed me a little like JUST BE MORE OPEN UGHHSGDGD. also some of the plot points seemed underdeveloped like they served such minimal significance. couldn’t read the extras also, my heart couldn’t handle it. love my girls shen xi and yun shu tho!!!

This was another Chinese web novel that was in my tbr for years. And I finally gave it a try.
It wasn't something mind blowing but it was a tearjerker nonetheless.
Communication is the key in relationships.
This is the moral of this novel. Both leads had terrible misunderstandings on their part. Sometimes no communication is miscommunication.
But they finally got together. And I am so happy for them!
I felt so bad for the past Su Hang and Shen Xi. The author sorted out their past and present life very well.
There were so many realization the characters went through and their mistakes. It has one of the best character development in NU.
Oh, and the extras. I LOVED the extras! It have us a glimpse of their past lives and reassured me that all is not lost after all.

COMMUNICATION IS THEY KEY!
After reading this novel I realised how important is communication between a husband and wife, or human in general. Great communication is a must in relationship so there will be no misunderstanding that leads to tragedy.
The ml and fl were in a no-win situation thanks to one side being unwilling and the other side being silent, plus some side plotting from family. But real growth is acknowledging your own fault instead excusing them because someone's else's is worse.
I'm so glad that in both lives Su Hang gets the reassurance that his feelings are reciprocated. All in all, they're not perfect, but totally perfect for each other.

I was dabbing away sad, then, happy tears while reading this. I was quickly invested. I became a cheerleader for the husband character and truly admired the wife’s character for her ability to support her family’s business even if it meant sacrificing herself.
I typically don’t like novels filled with miscommunications because they feel like wasted time when a few direct questions from both parties could have quickly resolved many issues and eliminated years of suffering. But, this was a short novel that ended well. So, I endured it.

I really like this author but have been putting this off because of the cringy title. For the first few chapters, after getting a feel of the basic character profile of our main leads, I wasn't optimistic. The male lead had the insecure, passive and cowardly setting that I hate and the premise wasn't particularly original. But the author somehow made it all work out in her usual "love will heal all" way. It's not my favorite of the author's works by any means but it certainly did not disappoint.

Complex is understandable and not overcooked!
Everything is too good and amazing to go through, not much unnecessary things going along with the story plot, so it is pretty simple to read!

This was the first chinese webnovel I read and I went into having 0 expectations. I liked it way to much and even months after reading it, I just smile whenever it crosses my mind. What a cute, and lovely second-chance/arranged marriage romance 🥰🥰🥰.
It reminded me of one of my current favorite webtoon/manhwa "There must be a Happy ending"🤩
