I'm kinda confused because the book ended a little bit abruptly...even though ironically, it was smooth, I didn't feel like the conflict was resolved. 10 pages before I had been thinking to myself I don't know how the author's going to wrap up everything with so few pages in the book left. I guess things were solved? Gretta suspected that she was pregnant and that--providing the pack with an alpha heir--would go a long way to solving the problem. But then there was a whole problem in the pack with someone letting the horses out, then taking the horse Stanley to another pack's land. It didn't seem like the culprit was ever caught? Though Saint said that it was someone in the pack I think (none of the pack members who were in the reality show and being matched up w women) ?? I don't know, that whole problem just didn't seem to be resolved for me.
The romance was a little lackluster for me, like I wouldn't recommend one read this book to get a romance tbh. What made the book more exciting was the mystery of who was hurting the pack from the inside. I would have also liked to know what went wrong w Sterling's supposed mate, Tiffany. That wasn't really explained; she didn't seem to want to be there. I don't think it was because of Sterling. I just don't think she was ready for the possibility of forever with someone.
I also thought the whole werewolves mate reality dating show in the vein of the Bachelor was cute. I think that's what led me to purchase the book. Thanks to Paulette at Alphas Review for sending me a link with lots of free books for a New Year's promotion, cuz that's how I was able to read this book.
