There is no escaping a Reaper. I am an elite assassin, part of a brotherhood that only answers to Death. And when Death says your time is up, I’m coming for you…

When Erith directs me to infiltrate the enemy and topple them from within, I immediately accept the challenge. I figure it’ll be easy until a stunning warrior goddess crosses my path and diverts my attention. The problem? She’s in league with those I was sent to take down. However, I soon discover there is more to her than meets the eye and quickly find my mission divided: disband this new group of Fae Others and save the gorgeous Light from her family—and herself. All it takes is one look, one conversation to know that she’s mine, and I will chance Death’s displeasure to make it so. But the risks are great. Because when you fall in love with the enemy, more than your heart is on the line.

Will her freedom come with a heavy price ...

This is my first read in this series, and while I have read some books from its sister’s series, Dark Kings, it is my first foray in this world outside the guest appearances of Death and her consort in many of the linked stories.
Rordan is on a mission for Death, to learn more about those who are rising against them.
Fianna lives in the shadow of her brother, doing the bidding of her family’s demands, slaving for them again and again.

So while they should be on opposite side, a full of sparks attraction bring them closer, so close they will open their heart and soul, sharing their past pains.
So while Rordan must keep hidden part of his identity, he can’t stand the abuses she faces from those who should shoulder her. Why he makes her question her relationship with them, up to her to open her eyes and fight for her freedom.

I'm obsessed with this series and I'm truly happy that DG is continuing to tell us more stories from this world. This time we have Rordan, a Reaper who was sent by Erith (Death) to infiltrate the enemy's camp and turn it inside out from within. However all plans went up when he found Fianna, who is in charge of security detail for her brother.

Sounds good? Yes it is on paper. Was it well executed? Here's where I'm conflicted. I love the DG world building, DG is a master at it. Most of her books are a hit for me but here are some that are misses and this is one of them. I like Rordan (I'm biased, I love all Reapers) and he has a heartbreaking backstory. It is Fianna that I can't seem to compute. She was supposed to be bad arsed heroine but she came across as a wee too naive for me. She allow her brother to control her and mind you, I'm all for instalove if it was done right. Unfortunately I feel that there is no depth to Rordan and Fianna's chemistry, it was lacking.

Also ... Xaneth. Good grief, he has suffered enough, me thinks! Let his misery end, please!

This book might not pull me in deep but I still look forward to the next book. Thank you for the advance copy, the view above are of my own.

This is my first reapers novel and it will not be my last!

Fianna and Rordan have an unlikely meet up and one that didn’t show much promise, but curiosity got the better of them. That curiosity turned into intrigue and lead to truths being revealed that will lead to more than anyone anticipated!

I loved Fiannas fight and how strong she really proved to be! She thought she was broken but she was so much more than just a dutiful daughter!

This story really piques your interest from the start and proves there is so much more left in store for the Reapers!

I just love the Reapers. Each one of them is so intriguing and multifaceted and Rordan is no exception. For those of us who have been following the continuing adventures of Death and her warriors, this book answers a few of our lingering questions while leaving us with new ones. Fianna has a past almost as twisted and secretive as Rordan’s. Dark Alpha’s Obsession delivers another fantastic read from the pen of an amazing author. Well done Ms. Donna!

ARC received from author for review

Another great Reaper book. Rordan is trying to infiltrate the new Others, and he meets Fianna. He falls fast and helps her see all she could be. The rest of the reapers help, but the Others get away again. It was nice to finally see Xaneth, but he leaves before anyone can try to help him.

Absolutely loved Dark Alpha's Obsession, DG amazes me everytime. This is book Eleven in the Reaper series and they keep getting better. Rordon is the male lead he has been sent to spy on a group of Light Fae. Rordon will meet the beautiful lethal Fianna. Fi is head of security for her brother and she takes her job very seriously. Rordon will seek the truth but may fall in love as well. Fi will see the truth and fight to be free of her family. DG answers some questions but left us with wanting more. I loved seeing B so glad he is back and I can't wait for his story. Now I wait patiently for book twevle. I received this story as an ARC for an honest review.
Happy Reading!

Rordan has been sent on a fact finding mission. Is there a group trying to pick up where The Others left off? Could they seriously have a shot at being that powerful. What he didn't expect was Fianna.

Fianna's main duty in life is to run security for her brother, Dorcha, as he recruits fae for their cause. She's messed up in the past but now is bringing honor to the family name.

Once again we have a love story surrounded by mystery and secrets. Sparks fly when they first set eyes on one another but Fianna is going to resist. She has a duty to perform and a vow to uphold. But that doesn't mean that Rordan isn't on her mind and blowing her concentration.

While the falling in love and getting together portion of the book is romantic it's the other side of the story and secondary characters that almost run away with the book.

Xaneth makes an appearance....and it doesn't look good. Rordan is happy to see him but Xaneth warns him away. Telling him it would be better if he forgot about him.

Ruarc is a fae that Rordan meets at these rallies. He is the one who finds houses for Fianna and her brother, Dorcha, to stay at. It seems he does this as sort of payback for them aiding his family way back who knows when. But there is something about him that makes you wonder. I know there is more to him than meets the eye and I'm really hoping that we get his full story in the future.

I appreciate the love story but the questions it left me with....UGH, I know I'll get my answers eventually but I want instant gratification.

This whole series is well worth it if you are into steamy romance, fae, dragon shifters, and twisty plots.

Rordan is a Reaper and he has gone undercover to infiltrate a possible group associated with The Others. He discovers plenty of suspicious activity, but his attention is divided. And the reason for this is the captivating Fianna, sister to the fae who is the face and voice of the enemy group.

Fianna is a strong woman, physically and mentally, but she has been cowed and abused by her family her whole life. This has made her completely devoted to her brother's cause, well at least to his safety while he is campaigning for his cause. She has never considered questioning the status quo. Until Rordan entered their lives and he showed her another side to the story.

I love the Reapers and Rordan is cunning and interesting. I mostly enjoyed this story because there were only fae in it. It provided a bigger glimpse into the fae world and their ideas and customs. The story was well set up and progressed at a good pace. Fianna and Rordan are great together. I enjoyed their journey to get to know and trust one another. And there are the usual intrigue, drama, and action that you can expect from Donna Grant and this world. Xaneth also makes a quick appearance, and that only made me more curious about where this story is going.

This is the eleventh book in the Reapers series. It is definitely better to read them in order, as each book's plot builds on the one before it.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Rordan is a Reaper, an elite assassin and solider for Death. He follows Erith’s orders and infiltrates a certain Fae group. However, Rordan never expected to meet a woman like Fianna. She keeps distracting him from his mission. Can Rordan trust Fianna? Or is the woman in league with The Others?

Fianna is a Light Fae. She is an exceptional warrior, who provides security for her brother during his gatherings. Fianna has always lived beneath her father and brother’s domineering shadow. Rordan tempts to break away from her family’s control. What truths will Fianna learn about her family?

I empathize with Rordan’s sentiment about family. Family does not always imply blood connections. Sometimes family is who you let close and forge an unbreakable bond with. I have a couple friends who I consider family.

I just could not connect with Fianna. I wanted to because I adore her name (okay so I have an old role-playing character named that). She had many characteristics I like in my heroines. I like that Fianna prefers to fight hand-to-hand rather than relying on magic. Weapons takes incredible skill to wield and use, so it speaks of a warrior’s spirit.

DARK ALPHA’S OBSESSION is book eleven in Donna Grant’s paranormal series, REAPER. This series interweaves with the author’s DARK KINGS and DARK SWORD books. I highly suggest reading the prior books and the DARK KING series to understand the state of events happening.

This world has grown so much, and trust me going in the middle of it can be somehow making you dizzy with all the info or characters. In this story, it's not that visible but in the others it was.
We have a man on a mission - a dangerous one, and supposedly a hard one. Erith had sent Rordan to spy on some kind of sect, that is a secret and could have some very bad plans for the world. There he met a girl that stays in the shadows even when she's the sister of the leader named Fianna. Rordan has a really sad past that will crush your heart, but you will have to read it o your own.
The female lead is Fianna, a woman that is supposed to stay as a security detail in her brother's crew. Her past is on the darker side, but still, she was old enough to not be so naive and easily swayed, but we can't have it all, right?
This story felt like everything happened too fast, I didn't have any chance to connect with Fianna and Rordan, I know that insta-love can happen here, but I think they had some places to feel more, but it had not worked for me.

This book brings so much excitement that I could not put it down at all. The dog was even throwing a fit because I wouldn't take her out until I finished! That is how good it was!
Riordan is sent to infiltrate a group who may be part of the Others. Dorcha is the leader, trying to join the light and dark fae in a united group. His sister Fianna is the one in charge of his security.  But everything in their family is not quite as it seems.
Riordan is attracted to Fianna but knows it can't go anywhere.  She may be an enemy and he is a reaper, so there a two things against then from the start.
We also get a snippet about Xaneth! So you probably do not want to skip this book.

For me jumping in on this series at this point was a little wild. Characters I don't know but want to are here. The story was interesting and the action was intense. Rordan and Fianna find themselves attracted to each other and know that it is not a good idea to get together. The world building is interesting and I would like to to know more about it.

We are continuing the investigation into the Fae Others. Their powers seem to be more than what the Reapers are expecting. In an attempt to gather more information, Rordan infiItrates a gathering suspected of being a recruitment weekend.

I love how Rordan just donned this persona of someone who expects the best of everything and is better than others. He is a great actor. Possibly one of my favorite Reapers.

Fianna was a surprise. She is a contradition. Her whole life seems to revolve around her brother and father, staying dedicated to her role as head of security. She believes she is trapped, obligated to do her job, despite her suspicions that the things her family is doing are wrong.

Rordan arrives and sees there is a lot more to Fianna. He has hints that she is not as involved in her family's schemes. They have something over her head. What they were doing was straight up mental abuse, so I can see enduring this for as long as she did would lead Fianna to the position she was in. I loved Rordan slowly exposing all the lies her life was built on.

The mission itself brought surprises to the Reapers. Showing them they needed to regroup on just what these Other soldiers are capable of and how they are getting those powers. They have defenses against the Reapers that the Fae should not have. Someone else with some big powers shows up, but does not acknowledge the Reapers.

I do think this installment was one of my favorites. As usual the action is non stop and the secrets and lies uncovered just kept me shocked over and over.

Dark Alpha's Obsession started with a really slow build. I wanted to know who these people were almost as much as the reaper, Rordan, did. I wanted to know what Fianna had done in her younger years. What was it about Ruarc that made him a key link. Who is Dorcha and why is he important. I kept reading, searching for the answers. The author just kept leading me deeper and deeper into the story.

Then it happened. The drama magnified. The twists became erratic. The teasers became more tantalizing. I became absorbed in the story. I became ensconced in the drama. Chills occurred with every page I turned. With every chapter more secrets were revealed. The conflicts were intense.

Softening the darkness was the growing romance between Rordan and Fianna. I began to trust in Fianna. The slow build of the story became a slow build romance. The possibilities were endless.

At the end of the story, my heart got her happily ever after but the fight continued. I have just have one question, what happened to Ruarc? I can't wait for future books to find the answer to that question and discover how the Reapers destroy the Others.

Listened to the Audiobook. The Narrator does such an amazing job. I find myself obsorbing every word.

This book was received as an ARC from Donna Grant’s ARC Angels, the following opinions and commentary are my own and no way reflect the greater DG Groupie Community. Dark Alpha’s Obsession is a Reaper book, and is a part of the Greater Dark World—Fae, Druids, Warriors and Dragon Kings. This book is a part of series of books and really should not be read as a stand-alone book, long built story arcs are coming to a close.

On a mission to infiltrate the Others, Rordan finds his match in a light Fae named Fianna. She is head of security for her brother Dorcha who is a recruiter for the Others. There is an instant attraction and a lot of distrust between them. Once they make their way to each other of jumping the hurtles of each of their past, they face a challenge that could separate them forever.

This book has a lot of information about the Others, what has happened to them and a glimpse of what they are doing now. If the this doesn’t wet you appetite on the book, you get to see Xaneth and Balladyn!

The book was an absolute win because of the explosive chemistry and non-stop action. Rordan was the quintessential brooding, protective Alpha and Fianna was a compelling heroine, she was strong, capable, but emotionally vulnerable due to years of family manipulation and emotional abuse.
Watching Rordan strategically dismantle her life's lies while their attraction burns the pages was highly engaging.

However, the rapid pace that fuels the thrilling plot sometimes comes at the expense of a deeper emotional dive. Fianna's ultimate shift in perspective, while earned, felt very swift.

As a crucial installment in the ongoing war against The Others, it settled up multiple new mysteries, leaving the romance feeling slightly resolved but the overall world arc deliberately incomplete.

DARK ALPHA’S OBSESSION is the eleventh instalment in Donna Grant’s contemporary, adult REAPERS paranormal/fantasy romance series focusing on Death’s Reapers. This is Reaper Rordan Dovecoat , and Light Fae warrior Fianna O’Hannon’s story line. The REAPERS is a spin off from Donna’s DARK KINGS series which is a spinoff from Donna’s DARK WARRIOR series which in turn is a spin off from Donna’s DARK SWORD series- all set in the Highlands of Scotland. You do not have to have read any of the previous series to understand the premise but many of the events of the Reapers series, overlap with the events of the Dark Kings series. DARK ALPHA’S OBSESSION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion.

SOME BACKGROUND: The Reapers (believed to be a folk lore amongst the Fae) are a group of Dark and Light Fae, selected by Death (aka Erith), on their own deathbed, to do her bidding-Death is the judge and jury; the Reapers are the executioners. The Reapers are not harbingers of death, but are tasked with destroying the Light and Dark Fae who have crossed a line from which there is no return. All Reapers must follow two rules: never to fall in love; and never to reveal their existence to anyone.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Rordan and Fianna) DARK ALPHA’S OBSESSION follows reaper Rordan Dovecoat on his latest solo assignment to infiltrate a meeting where Light Fae Dorcha O’Hannon is recruiting members in his fight to forge a union between the Light and Dark Fae but all is not as it appears to be as the Reapers and Death suspect a re-emergence of The Others, and Dorcha is but a pawn in a much larger game. Dorcha has surrounded himself with specialized security, including his sister Fianna, whose own life has been tethered to that of her brother’s, a life she is struggling to accept and defend. Rordan’s immediate attraction to Fianna does not go unnoticed but something about the brother/sister duo screams power and abuse, and in this Rordan forces our heroine to look at the bigger picture, revealing the truth about his past, her past, and their life going forward. What ensues is the building friendship and relationship between Rordan and Fianna, and the potential fall-out as Fianna has been targeted in the family’s fight for power and control.

For years, Fianna has been the black sheep of her family but the reality of the who, how and why reveals a bitter truth that places our heroine on the outside looking in. Tired of the secrets and lies, Fianna decides it is time to live life on her own terms but her life is no longer hers to control. Rordan Dovecoat had been betrayed many times over, and in this, Rordan knows a thing or two about fractured family dynamics- Fianna’s relationship with her brother screams all kinds of fractured.

We are introduced to Fianna’s brother Dorcha, and their father Fearghal, as well as Light Fae Ruarc, whose repayment of a debt has been called in too many time. Here’s hoping the author has plans for Ruarc.

DARK ALPHA’S OBSESSION continues to focus on the take down of The Others, a group that is hoping to rule the supernatural world, focusing their intent on the Dragon Kings and their mates but the death of their one-time leader now places The Others in a position to recruit, and with it, The Reapers are now the target in focus.

Donna Grant pulls the reader into a fast paced, intriguing and twisted storyline of betrayal, secret, lies, power and control. The premise is imaginative ; the characters are animated; the romance is seductive.

This one was pretty good, but it seems like a lot happened in a very short period of time. The Reapers have heard about a fae with a silver tongue that has been holding meetings and convincing them that they should follow him and his message. There are three meeting that must be attended before only a select few are actually chosen to join his group. It's all very suspicious, so Rordan is sent in as basically a spy. It's at this first meeting that he immediately becomes taken with Fianna. At the same time, Rordan also catches Fianna's attention. Partly because she too is immediately strongly attracted to him, but also because he is not at all enthusiastic about her brother's words like the rest of the fae gathered there are.

Usually I'm annoyed when a couple falls for the other right away, but for some reason it didn't really bother me here. Fianna works as head of security for her brother who is the face and voice for their father's ideals. She's very good at her job and believes that Rordan is a huge distraction she can't afford. But at the same time, she feels so very safe and comfortable around him. And just by talking to him she was finally able to realize that she is not the monster her brother and father want her to believe she is, but more importantly, she finally realizes how badly they have been using her. She had no idea what the two of them had been up to with the Others and with any fae that came to their meetings, but she knows she longer wants anything to do with them.

When Rordan is invited to stay with Fianna's brother in the mansion they currently reside in, he knows it's a great way to get more information but he also knows that he has been singled out for some reason. Being there amongst so many wealthy fae has Rordan remembering too many bad things from his past, but at least being there also allows him more time to be around Fianna.

Like I said, things happened really fast here. And not just with the two of them getting together. I think it was only a day, maybe two, after Rordan goes to the mansion before the Others who are actually in charge make an appearance and force Fianna's brother to act more desperately. But it's during his last speech when everything goes bad fast. For quite a few people. Rordan finds himself in some big trouble against this new enemy but help comes from a most unexpected person. Xaneth is back and is definitely changed. Maybe not in such a good way either, but it's hard to say just yet.

I was quite pleased that Fianna kept her promise to Rordan to stay in his cottage while he went back to confront her brother. Considering that she knew how to fight, I honestly wasn't expecting that, so it only made me happier to have a character that actually stayed true to what they promised to do. Though it was a little disappointing how easily she was manipulated into falling right into a trap. Still. It had to be expected for things to go down the way the do with her. It was super easy to see that coming, but I didn't mind.

Unfortunately, the Reapers were a little kill happy when facing their enemy and many of the enemy fled, so they were unable to capture one alive for information. But Rordan gets his happy ending and we're moving on.

Another Gripping Story In This Addictive Paranormal Romance Series

I’m a fan of Donna’s books and have read them all in this series. As I’ve said before, her writing style is easy to read and I like the way she paces the development of her plots. I love the fantasy world that Donna has created. Her characters are never just good or evil, she creates complex souls with a multifaceted mix of positive and negative traits. This makes them more credible; bringing them to life in my mind.

I connect to a story more when the female protagonist has certain personality traits.
Fianna is a skilled fighter, respected leader and loyal to a fault to her brother and father. I loved watching her grow, learning about her life and getting to know her in this story. Fianna’s journey wasn’t easy at times, but I admired her intelligence, resilience and strength. Rordan, being a Reaper, obviously, means that we’ve met him before in previous books. However, it was great to get beneath his skin and get inside his head during this one. In fact, I liked the way that we learnt more about existing characters in this tale as well as some new faces too.

Victoria McGloven is still a fairly new-to-me voice actor.
I enjoyed her performance and liked the pace at which she read this book. However, I found her reading of the narrative lacked emotion during certain scenes. The voices she created for the different characters meant that I was never confused as to who was speaking. Victoria managed to capture Fianna’s personality perfectly; conveying her emotions, hopes and worries to a tee.

Donna loves the romantic aspect between her lead couple to be concluded by the end of each book.
I love Happy Ever After endings too. Woop! Woop! But Dark Alpha’s Obsession isn’t just about the romance between Fianna and Rordan. There are a couple of other plot threads weaved together in this tale. I liked that we had these other storylines to follow while watching the trials and tribulations of Fianna and Rordan’s romance.

I really enjoyed this audiobook; it was a tale that kept me listening from start to finish!
Dark Alpha’s Obsession has everything that I look for in a good paranormal romance story; adventure, mystery, action, great characters, some humour, romance and a sprinkling of passion.

Content Warning:
This book has graphic violence and explicit sex as well as some darker themes. Therefore, I’d only recommend this book to adults who are OK reading material of this nature.

I’d recommend Dark Alpha’s Obsession to adults who enjoy paranormal romance tales. Readers who’re looking for honourable heroes and heroines who have plenty of gumption. Especially those fans who want a gripping multi-layered backstory with action, romance, oh, and a bit of blush-worthy titillation.

“Dark Alpha’s Obsession” is the latest book released in Donna Grant’s paranormal series “Reaper.” I really enjoyed this book. I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more had I read more of the series previously, but the main characters Fianna, a Light Fae and head of security for her brother a very enigmatic Fae speaker, and Rordan, a Reaper, sent to infiltrate the group gathering at meetings to find out if they were involved with ‘The Others,’ were developed enough to engage a lively story. The sparks fly when Fianna first notices Rordan at a first meeting and it just gets more complicated, more enticing, and hotter as the story unfolds.

Reading Fianna’s thoughts, she seems to be a tough, kick-butt kind of Fae – but she also has some weaknesses as well. Rordan is a no-nonsense type of Reaper and seems fairly stoic to begin with. I would even say he could be frightening knowing what he is capable of, but also those sparks that were flying mentioned earlier could be his weak spot. The development of Fianna and Rordan’s relationship was interesting and had all of the challenges of a developing relationship, including family issues which are always difficult, suspicion, attraction, call to duty, and passion. They both keep secrets and it causes one to speculate which one will bring the entire plot veering into a new direction.

It was a story that has so many dynamics that it moves quickly and lends some insights and explanations into the Reapers as well an introducing some new players. Some of the events would likely be more meaningful had I read all of the other series, “Dark Kings” and “Dark Sword,” but by itself makes sense and carries the main plot well.

I think, given the chance and time, reading this book and then reading some of the other series that are interwoven into the plot will open it up into a broader more meaningful link in the bigger story. On its own, it is a fascinating and entertaining read which the reader can explore in this other world, and worth the time to get to know Fianna and Rordan.

If you're engaged in the series and have read from the beginning, including the Dark Kings' that precedes and also runs concurrent to the Reapers' series, this fits right in and though short and not filled with a ton of detail, it does bridge the gap and give us a really exciting change that's going to really shake up their world going forward.

This story felt different in that it wasn't complicated with a billion secrets, side stories, and subplots, it was straightforward with one particular situation that needed recon with a couple surprises along the way. One surprise was Fianna. Her strength and vulnerability were perfectly matched to Rordan's vigilance and quiet strength. Though I will admit, Fianna's strength and general badassery was lost along the story outside of the one sparring session and was a bit of a letdown. On the other hand, until she responded to that one call, she really did do what she promised and I loved her for it. Too many times you have the TSTL moment that puts them and everyone else in more danger than necessary because they saw fit to broke their promise.

And then there was surprise number two where Rordan's past came back to, not haunt him, but to free him. I absolutely did not see that one coming and I enjoyed it quite a lot. Despite it not ending in the best way, those moments were ones that set this particular story apart from the whole rest of the series and made it even more unique. Adding in the other unique bit with how the Reaper reveal info came about, and this became a story to appreciate instead of just enjoy for a few passing moments.

So keeping in mind that this is absolutely part of the series and not a standalone, it really worked. On its own it was simple and really light on information, discovery, and action, but there were enough moments of conflict to move the overall plot along. I'm definitely looking forward to what's coming next.

Let me start of by saying that this is the 11th book in the Reaper's series but it is also connected to the Dark Kings series as well. So I would definitely read the previous books before reading this one or you will probably not understand the bigger story ARC that is happening. With that being said, in this one we get Rordan and Fianna's story. Rordan has been tasked by Death to go find out exactly what the enemy is planning and try to bring them down before they cause more harm. He doesn't expect to feel a pull towards the woman in charge of security. Fianna knows her duty to her family. And she will never make the same mistakes that she made in the past. But while she has always down her duty and is a warrior at heart, things are changing. And she is left feeling like she is missing something. Now she needs to figure out whether she can truly trust Rordan or if she is being played.

I really liked this one. Fianna is definitely a warrior but beyond that-she is a woman who struggles with who she is at her core. Rordan definitely sucked me in and left me wanting to know more about him. His backstory was heart breaking, but then all of the Reaper's back stories have been. They have this instant connection that I found intriguing. I was a little put off though with how much Fianna put up with when it came to her family and her brother in particular. It seemed almost not to match her warrior spirit. I really want to know more about Ruarc, there is just something about him. And I loved our snippet with Xaneth, although I really need to know what is going on with him. Along with the mention of a certain other character that we all know and loved!!! I can't wait for his full story either!!

Rordan another exceptional Reaper

I love Donna Grant's Reapers and DARK ALPHA'S OBSESSION was another exceptional addition to her Reaper series. Along with her other Reaper stories, Ms. Grant weaves an ongoing story together with the story of a single reaper and his journey toward meeting his soulmate.

Rordan, has been sent on a dangerous mission by Death ... to infiltrate a new group of Others. He is to find out who the leader/s is/are and what their eventual goal is. while attending one of the meetings he meets Fianna, sister to Dorcha and head of his security. The connection between the two is instant, yet neither of them is willing to take it any further. Both Rordan and Fianna have secrets that need to remain in the past, but can this happen when the attraction and chemistry is so strong? Will Fianna, a strong-willed woman, be able to stand up for herself and escape the clutches of her controlling brother? Will Rordan be able to let go of the mistrust and sadness of his past and find peace and happiness in the arms of Fianna?

Once again there are several twists to be found in this Reaper story. The emergence and appearance of Xaneth answers some questions but also raises many more. The strength of the Reapers, both as a family and as a fighting unit is again at the forefront of this story. I loved the ending, it truly was a fitting ending for this strong warrior and his equally strong woman.

I'm really looking forward to seeing where Donna Grant takes her Reapers next.

Dark Alphas Obsession Review: Every time I start reading one of Donna Grants books I can not put them down! Donna Grant’s amazingly wonderful imagination takes us on adventure to find out more information about a dangerous enemy gaining strength behind the scenes! Rordan one of the Reapers has planted himself in a position to find out more about this enemy.

Rordan didn’t plan on coming face to face with a woman so beautiful he is captivated the second he lays eyes on her. Fianna is in charge of her brother’s security team and a warrior within her own right. With both of them discovering family isn’t always as it seems it’s up to them to find out exactly what her brother is up to. Rordan is drawn to her in a way that he has never before and wants to aide her.

This is book 11 in the Reaper books and will leave you on the edge of your seat to see what happens next! This amazing book takes us on a journey with these 2 characters and their undeniable attraction with each other. Will Fianna finally get the answers she seeks and will Rordan be able to return to the other Reapers with the answers they are seeking you will have to read and find out.

All I can say is Donna Grant you are an amazing Author you always nail it. I cannot wait to see what happens next! I am giving this book 5 stars Donna Grant’s books are so easy to read and if you haven’t read her books before this one will certainly leave you wanting more. Pre order or buy now you will not be disappointed I am so looking forward to all the future novels in any genre as Donna’s many different stories continue.

I received an advance reader copy from the author. This is my honest review.

YAY Another entry in the The Reapers Series. DARK ALPHA'S OBSESSION is another fantastic entry that I could not put down for even one second.

Rordan, was given the mission by Death, he needed to infiltrate a new group of The Others. (The group that has been introduced in other books in both the Reapers and Dragon Kings series) He's ready to deal with the mission and while attending his first meeting he catches a glimpse of Fianna, head of security and sister to Dorcha the leader.

Sparks fly immediately but because of the circumstances going on and the secrets they are both hiding from people....but as we know with our Reapers the pull between them and their soulmates is always hard to ignore...even when they feel like they should.

As you all know I don't like to drop spoilers in my reviews, it's not fair to anyone else but I will say...along with the expected twists and turns that Donna takes us on, that we always expect from her, there was one surprise appearance that had me going *GASP*. I would not have seen that once coming from miles and miles away. These books continues to remind me that families and bonds are always tighter with the ones that you choose to call family in your heart not always with the ones that share your blood with you.

If you've read the Reaper series before this is going to be another amazing entry into it and again...I love that each entry into the series adds another little link in our Dragon King over arching series.

Donna's hit another homerun!!
