As the original Fractured French can still, many years after I first encountered it, make me roll with laughter, I hoped this book, which I can tell from the preface is an homage by a new author and illustrator, would do the same, despite the different creative team. Alas, most of the humor is just a little too on the nose somehow--like a ten year old wrote the cross-language "puns." Oh well, it was worth a try!
