Can she overcome her fears and allow love back into her life? All she has to do is Just Say Yes to the one and only man she has ever loved.

SCORING THE PLAYER

Cocky, man whore, player…. Those are all ways I have been described by the media and countless women. Are they accurate? Possibly. But, that’s all I let the media see of me, Brian Kelly, defensive player for the Indianapolis Eagles Hockey team. I have no intentions of settling down and changing the media's perception of me. I can’t tell if women are after me for my bank account, the status symbol of being with a professional athlete, or if they really want me for me. Then I meet her. The one woman who doesn’t let my charm affect her or cause her to jump directly into my bed. Can I possibly change my ways and settle down?

Grounded, selfless, giving…Those are all the ways my family and friends have described me. Are they right? Possibly. But, I’m so much more, and need some passion and excitement in my life. My best friend is moving on and I want that someone special to share all that life has to offer. Let it be known that I, Kinley Williams, want the right someone special. So why did he have to crash into me? The one man who is so clearly wrong for me. Then again, he doesn’t seem like anything the tabloids claim him to be. So is he really all that wrong?

PLAYING FOR KEEPS

Friends with benefits—it never works. Someone always ends up wanting more.

What happens when both want more, but neither will tell the other?

Richard Murphy has been in the NHL for fifteen years, playing the game he loves. But with retirement looming in the next few years, he’s ready to settle down and start a family. There’s only one woman he wants that with, but she’s put him firmly into the friends—with benefits—category. Can he change her mind and heart, and prove to her he’s playing for keeps?

Madison O’Neal has been a lover of sports since she was young. She and her dad bonded over them, both during and after her mother lost her battle with breast cancer. Her love of sports led to a successful career as a sports agent. As much as she loves her job, what she really wants is a family—and someone to call her own. But the one man she’s head-over-heels in love with has her in the friends—with incredible benefits—category.

Can Madison and Richard find their way through the murky waters of friendship and become the lovers they secretly want to be?

This is a box set of the first 3 books in the Indianapolis Eagles Series. This is one of my favorite sports romance series, and all of them are fun, sweet, and absolutely lovely!

Just Say Yes:
This is a sweet second chance sports romance, the first I've read by this Author.

Becca and Scott were high school sweet hearts, but Becca couldn't handle the female attention Scott received when he became a pro hockey player and broke up with him.

After a chance meeting in their hometown, 8 years after their breakup, Becca realizes she never stopped loving him. This story is mostly about how they handle the rekindling of their relationship, along with some exciting scenes from Scott's NHL career.

Right from the begining, Scott knew what he wanted, and did everything he could to show Becca how he felt. He was so sweet with her!

Becca is a strong, independent woman, but knows she made a mistake. She just isn't sure what to do about it. But Scott knows!

Unlike alot of sports themed romances, this story focuses more on the second chance romance aspect, and less on the fact that Scott just happens to play hockey for a living. It makes for a more interesting story line, and the story just seems to flow better.

All told, this is a sweet, easy read that was very enjoyable. I'm looking forward to the next one, as it seems to be the beginning of a series, and would definitely recommend it to anyone that likes sports romance or second chance romances.

Scoring the Player:
This is the second book in the Indianapolis Eagles series. There are some events in both books that overlap (occurred in both books, but told from different points of view) but it's done in such a way that you would not be lost if you hadn't read book 1. That being said, I highly recommend reading the books in order, because events in book 2 contain spoilers for book 1, Just Say Yes.

Kinley is best friends with Becca, from book 1. She, too, is a nurse, from Alaska. She is a smart, independent woman, that has had no luck with relationships. Brian is a teammate of Scott's, and has always been a player. He finds his outlook changing, but isn't quite sure what to do with that.

This book, despite an instant connection between the main characters, is a slow-burn. They take their time, and I find that very refreshing. The relationship seems very real, because of that. They get to know each other before jumping into bed, and the relationship seems stronger for it. There are lots of issues for them to work through, and they might not have been able to get through them otherwise.

The connection between the characters was beautiful and pure. I totally enjoyed this book, just as much as I did Just Say Yes. There are some spots that brought out the tears, and were tough to get through because of that, but it just made the book that much better, in my opinion. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone that is enjoys sports romances, and is maybe looking for something that is a little different paced than most of what is on the market today. It was a great read, that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Playing for Keeps:
I love, love, loved Richard and Maddy! Friends, then lovers, for years, they both hid their true feelings from each other, out of fear that it was one sided! So much time wasted!

Maddy is a sports agent, a strong, independent woman, in a male dominated field. She knows who she is and what she wants from life. But her love life is just...complicated! She and Richard have had a friends with benefits relationship for years, and she has slowly developed feelings for him. Feelings she thinks have no chance of being returned. She has lived in limbo for a long time, neither moving forward in her relationship, nor moving on to something else.

Richard is a professional hockey player. He has strong feelings for Maddy, wants more with her, wants everything with her, but will take whatever she will give him. He doesn't want to rock the boat, for fear that he will loose it all.

This story takes the friends to lovers theme to a whole new level! I love supportive Richard is when Maddy's life spirals out of control. They are so perfect for each other! I love how, even though this is a sports romance, that isn't the focus of the story. It's about romance, and how a real love is about support and family. And did I say that I love, love, love Richard and Maddy?!?

This collection includes three books: Just Say Yes, Scoring The Player and Playing For Keeps. It’s a sport romance collection where you get to take a very close look into the lives of professional hockey players, both personally and professionally but mainly their love lives. The Eagles are a tight fit team and you get to meet three very close friends Scott, Brian and Richard and their journey to finding love.

Just Say Yes is Scott’s story. He’s back in his hometown, captain of Indianapolis Eagles Hockey Team and they won the Stanley Cup a few weeks ago. Scott’s from Anchorage, Alaska and back home celebrating their winning the cup. He’s been playing professionally for eight years has a very privileged life and when he left home to play professionally, he also left the love of his life Becca behind. Although it was her decision to breakup with him, she was never able to move on. Scott has never been able to move on as well and now that he’s back home, he plans on rekindling with Becca on a permanent basis. Their journey is a very emotional and passionate one and you’ll enjoying reading it.

Scoring The Player is Brian’s story. And a player he is, actually he’s known as a manwhore. He sleeps around a lot and has no intentions toward commitment of any kind. He’s had his heart broken in the past and this caused him to become bitter and closed off towards relationships. However, an unexpected change occurs when he meets Kinley, who happens to be Becca’s best friend. She’s feisty and very independent and wants nothing to do with Brian. She’s very much aware of his reputation and has no intention of becoming a new notch on his belt. Kinley was also hurt by an ex boyfriend and she’s scarred as well. Brian will need to step up and prouve to Kinley that he’s actually not the playboy player everyone thinks he is. A beautifully written romance that I definitely recommend reading!

Playing For Keeps is Richards’s and Madison’s love story. They’ve know each other for eight years and are actually best friends. They’re there for each other whenever one needs the other. For several years, their relationship was purely platonic, until one night they cross THE line. Then everything changes for both of them but neither is willing to admit it in fear that it’ll affect their friendship if something goes wrong. They’ve been secretly in love with each other for years. This story is very emotional at times, filled with struggles from both ends until the inevitable happens and the truth comes out. You won’t want to miss how Richard and Madison find their happily-ever-after. Simply Amazing! A most recommended read! This author writing is addictive! You’ll enjoy every book!!!

I love this series by Samantha Lind and I know that after reading the first three books, you will be eager to read the rest!!

Just Say Yes

Becca and Scott were childhood friends who began dating in high school. Their relationship ended when Scott was drafted by the Indianapolis Eagles of the NHL, and he was heartbroken when he left for training camp to start his new life. Becca had her reasons for breaking up with Scott at the time, but she never stopped loving him. Now that he was home for the summer, she hoped with all her heart that he was still in love with her and would give her a second chance.

Scoring The Player

Kinley met Brian when he came to Alaska for the Stanley Cup tour with his teammates.
She had been out to dinner with her best friend Becca when they bumped into Brian and they decided to all have dinner together. Brian was so smitten with Kinley that he asked her for a date and they spent the next week together. Kinley was surprised how comfortable she felt with Brian--it was as if she had known him forever. Brian was mesmerized by Kinley’s natural beauty and sexy smile. He hadn’t known Kinley long, but she really understood him and if she truly was the one for him, he would wait for her forever.

Playing For Keeps

Friendship can be the perfect foundation for romance as long as both parties are honest about their feelings before it is too late. Madison and Richard had been friends for many years and were always there for each other. She takes care of his dog when he is traveling and he cooks her delicious dinners when he is home. Madison had been in love with Richard for a long time, but she couldn’t wait around for him to decide how he felt. With the help of her girlfriends, she makes a decision that could change her life forever. Richard knows that he needs to pour his heart out to Madison but he doesn’t know what to do, so he asks his teammates for help. Will it be Madison or Richard who confesses their feelings first and finally makes plans for the future?

Just Say Yes
Hockey Happiness

This was so sweet. No drama, no OM/OW, just a good clean book. I kept expecting something since they got together so early in the story, 25%, but it was just daily life. Kinda one big HEA.

Scoring the Player

Very good book. I enjoyed this one a tad bit more than the first. I did want to slap Kinley a few times, but I resisted. Brian is a dream.

Playing For Keeps

Enjoyed this one. These guys really go the extra mile for their women.

Having the first three books together makes it super easy to continue reading the next one when I do a massive reread.
