Alana Avery's life is anything but normal. She can communicate with the dead, talk to her dead grandfather telepathically, and the Electi are after her.
Thankfully, she has Jax. Lately, Alana feels like Jax is the only one she can trust.
But when strange things start happening at the Academy, she wonders if she can trust anyone.

I feel like I'm in an awkward position. I love the series' that came before this one and I really liked these ones too. I'm just disappointed that the story wasn't finished. For a book to be as short as this one is, there needs to be an ending, not a "read my next series about something relating but totally different." This book left me with a need for more while at the same time knowing I may not get a true ending.
Since these books were so short, I was able to finish the three in one day. I honestly don't know how I feel about them. On one hand, the story had a good enough plot going but I really hate how short they are. It's like half stories and I expected there to be more. I understand cliff hangers but it just seemed like there should've been a couple more chapters. Also, editing sucked. There were a bunch of grammar mistakes. Glad they were on sale on Amazon for about $1 each.
The story was good but the book was like 5 pages okaythat might be exaggerated but it was super short and just ended in the middle of a scene. Also 2 books have gone by and her cousin/best friend is completely out of the picture. What is his secret??? This series is a little frustrating.
Cover/Title: I am a fan of this author so I grabbed the book just because it is by the author.
Characters: I really reading about enjoy Alana and Jax... usually.
Plot: Alana is experiencing some odd things and the two of them are trying to figure out what is happening to her.
Overall: I am seriously disappointed. I wish I could say I wasn't but the plain and simple truth is that there is a lot missing here. Amazon says it is 236 pages but I would have to say that I seriously doubt it. Plus, just as the reader gets into the plot it stops. No ending at all. At least what I read was good. It drew me in completely. Then I went and looked at the reviews and I am even more confused. Readers talk about a character named Sway but a search of my copy didn't come up with that character. I was so excited to read this book and it was a huge letdown.
It's a good story but I hate that the are broken up into very short books with very little detail. It seems rushed and very little thought out. I feel like if these three books were made into one longer book and had more details, backgrounds, and more thought out they would be genuinely better. They would make more money. It could still be a trilogy but with longer better thought out books. It's a little disappointing to read a book that is not really a book but a rushed short story. I love the chemistry between the characters and the story line is amazing. It's a little disheartening to find out they are short stories that could be phenomenal novels if only just given a little more time and thought.
The book is too short and it seems like the author is not following up on Alana's story any time soon, despite the fact that there are a bazillion unanswered questions left at the end. Literally nothing has been resolved and more issues have arisen. Abandoning the storyline like this feels like she's basically told her readers to stick it where the sun don't shine. Copy editing issues and timeline inconsistencies included, the whole thing leaves me disappointed overall.
This book was quite different from the first two. The storyline became silly and didn't move the plot along. More questions with no answers. I did enjoy these books, but am very frustrated that there does not appear to be a follow-up or conclusion? It has been 7 years at least.
I really enjoyed this "book" and love the series. Unfortunately it is far too short and is more of a mini series. I love the characters and development of the storyline. Can't wait for the next one.
So I give this book 3 star's because I hate when the book is all over the place I wanted to know about Alana an jax not dash an sway any how I won't be buying any more books from this series because it hard to read a book and it switches from left to right.
I am thoroughly enjoying this whole series. The author keeps the readers interest by slowly moving toward a collective group of young adults gathering to save the clans in their own realms.
I was not aware this was a novella and cost the same as a full length book. I felt like it should have been cheaper. For a novella it didn't really move the story on as well either. I just hope the next one is actually full length.
While these books are very good they are only 10 chapters long like short stories also for some reason you are buying the same book with a different title book 2 was exactly like book 1 book 4 is the same as book 3 so I would not recommend you start this series
I read these three books in less than three day. I was so disappointed once I realized the series was ongoing and the next book wasn't published yet. Anxiously awaiting book #4!
I really enjoyed this book. This series is great fun to read. You get drawn in. I can't wait for the next installment. Cant wait to find out what happens.
Not sure what to think of Jax anymore, who are these Electi....where and what is Dash and what is the big secret of her "best friend". I thought we would know by now since it was brought up 3 books ago...........how many more parts are in this serial?
I really, really like this story. I am just so disappointed in how short it is. I don't think I can leave an honest review without a spoiler. That's how short it is. Anything I say and bam you have the whole book.
I find this story interesting but I've been waiting awhile for this 3rd book. I don't mind series like some of the other readers I have seen complaining, except when they are super short. With that said this could have been rated higher. I want an actual book! If the Author is going to do short stories I prefer to get it as a boxed sex with the complete story.
This book Is disappointing. It's sooo short. The previous two books were a bit longer than this. I think I'm done reading this series. Not only is it short, but the publication date keeps changing. This was a sample size, and while I understand cliffhangers can make you anticipate for the next book; there wasn't really much to go on in this one
