This was another text that I read as part of my graduate level STEM / STEAM course. I absolutely loved this resource. It features quick and easy assessment prompts that teachers can use to gauge their student's understanding in four key areas related to engineering: What is technology?; What is Engineering; Identifying Problems; and Designing and Testing Solutions. The prompts are already given in the book, so the teacher need only make copies and administer the prompts to students. The book also features and explanation of best responses to each prompt, a section to explain the underlining concepts, and ideas from further using the prompt. Best of all prompts are available in both English and Spanish, making this text ideal for our diverse classrooms. I loved this resource, and would recommend it to all teachers who want to include more STEM in their classrooms form grades 3 and up.
