Will Aamir’s relentless search for Shikha give him the sanity he is in search for? Can they be united after the past traumas? Will he move on if Shikha is in a Happy Place?
Read this story if you are a die-hard romance genre fan 😁❤️
First book of Rihan Khalyani where in he has tried to do justice with the sentiments of the reader 👍🏻😁 keeping in consideration of the negative (honour killing, seeking psychiatric help, Inter-religious/caste affairs) & also the positive influences of people going beyond their limitations of society & keeping Humanity first ❤️
The first reason to grab this book was the title - 'I will wait for you till eternity'. Its so attractive that i couldn't resist to grab it. What is love? Each and everyone's definition may change but the feeling is same. It is my second book of romance and yeahh I should say that its is really really amazing. The story revolves around three characters Aamir, sikha and samaira. What will be the feeling if you loose your true love or if you get separated from your love? The same happens with our Aamir who gets separated from his love Sikha. But then also he loves Sikha and day and night he lives on her memories And as a result he gets into depression and the hero looking Aamir now looks a weird person. He then tries to get out this zone for his better future and consults a psychologist Samaira with the help of his friend Bhaskar He shares everything with her that how and why this all happened. One thing the narration of the story is amazing yet it can be more detailed but the way and information given is enough to feel the story. But samaira slowly falls in love with him. Now what's Aamir goona do will he move on and be in relationship with Samaira or not? Well, Aamir is a true lover and he sticks on Shikha only. And he tries to search her Will he meet her? And if he meets then will they be together again?
Grab this book to know more about this amazing enjoyable book. I personally thanks to author for such an amazing loveable book. Happy reading....
'I'll Wait for you till Eternity' is the story of love that transcends societal boundaries and time. It's the story of Amir and Shikha, who fall in love during college. They are separated by the Hindu-Muslim riots that rock Lucknow, and both get separated. The book tells us their love story in parts, through Amir's recollections and through what he tells his psychologist Samaira. This book is also an appeal to humanity, to put aside petty differences and to be more open-minded.
I liked the story as a whole. The way the author tried to convey his ideas and his ideas themselves, while not brand-new, was refreshing to read in these troubling times. The book is a very quick read, and the narratives fitted together well. The few main characters are well developed. I loved the cover too. Really beautiful.
There were a lot of grammatical errors which cannot be easily overlooked. It could've been improved a lot with some editing. Also, sometimes the plot seemed excessively artificial.

Aamir is in his final year pursuing BBA. One day while hanging outside his college auditorium with his friends, he hears a voice that perplexes him. He follows it to the person it belongs to and finds Shikha. He is mesmerised by her and tries to find her the next day. He learns that she is a first year student in the same college and tries to befriend her. They become friends and soon enter in a relationship. . The story traveled back and forth from the time where Aamir has graduated and working in Delhi after losing Shikha in riots that broke out in their city to three years back when he is in his last year of college and has just met Shikha. It was fun reading the before and after of their story and kept things interesting as Aamir tried to find out what happened and where Shikha disappeared to due to the riots. . The characters were variant but not quite unique. Bhaskar’s character as a supporting friend was one I liked most. Author also tried to voice out important issues like communal differences and seeking therapy for depression while not considering it as abnormal. Though there were a few things which I found problematic as well like stalking and how it was normalised under the norm of 'love'. . I didn’t enjoy the writing at all. It was pretty basic and didn’t stir any emotions in me. The book was also poorly edited and had many grammar mistakes which is something that annoys me. It could have been much more enjoyable if the writing was done better.
The book depicts a love story starting around early 90s, when the protagonist (Aamir) gets separated from his girlfriend (Shikha), gets into depression, and some years later, gets recommended a psychologist (Samaira) by his best friend. A love triangle gets formed when Samaira starts falling for Aamir, while he is still in love with Shikha, not giving up his search for her.
The story travels back and forth in time, one where Aamir falls for Shikha, and the other one, where Samaira falls for Aamir. The social issues taken up can also be construed as a plus point with love sustaining through the religious differences, riots, and everything else.
However, for a downside, the narrative really lacked detail, and seemed pretty basic to me. The characters could have been developed a bit more, and there are a considerable number of grammatical errors which break the flow while reading.
"The problems you face may drive you towards a new beautiful facet of life; Don't stop because of the hardships you face in your path; Keep walking and you may get the unexpected gift from the life." . Love has the power to destroy someone from their core and it's the only reason why about 80% of the human population think twice before a commitment (just a personal observation 🤪). But if it's meant to be then it can create magic beyond one's expectations. . I'll wait for you till the eternity by Rihan Khalyani is a perfect tale depicting hope and sincerity in love. A love story beginning from the college days of Aamir and Shikha will take us back to our old jovial college days (especially with the intricate details of arts, sports, and academics ). Coming from my background ( Typical Indian college student), the situations were felt to be authentic and strongly relatable, didn't felt like reading some cliche romantic scenarios at all. The story develops through this love story which gets a twist in the form of Lucknow riots, which in turn gets them separated for a long time.Aamir who is still searching for Shikha falls into depression and ultimately decides to consult a psychologist. But faith had something else planned for him. Will he be able to find Shikha and have a peace of mind ?! Or will something again twists the story ?! . Simple and lucid language utilization with a super easy transformation form one situation to the other. The last couple of chapters took the story to a different level with the richness of some serious thought provoking talks. . If you are looking for a simple light read which discusses issues on love and how religion puts a barrier on it, this will be highly recommended.
The protagonist of the story is Aamir, he is a student of business administration. This story was more like love at first sight. Refusing to stay at the auditorium, Aamir went along with his friends but he rushed back to the auditorium as he heard a melodious voice soothing over his emotions and that's where the Shikha gets introduced. They both become friends and they are about to enter into a relationship and that's where boom communal violence gives an entry. The years will pass in flipping the pages, eventually, we will come to acknowledge the pain of losing our loved one. Aamir couldn't really tolerate the traumas. Getting aid from his friend, he goes to consult a psychologist Samaira. There he narrates his story and Samaira gets attracted to his character and she falls for him. What really happened to Shikha? Will Aamir be able to accept Samaira? Are you curious then, you must grab this book. The language is easy to comprehend. The cover fascinated me to buy this book. Though the story was nicely thought, the way it is narrated could be improved by considering to do proofreading once again will be the better choice.
I'll wait for you till the eternity by Rihan Khalyani is the story of Aamir, Shikha and Samaira. Aamir and shikha meet during their college days and eventually fall in love with each other. But they were separated during the Lucknow riots three years ago.
Due to the loss of his father as well as loss of Shikha he has fallen into depression. He is searching for Shikha from 3 years but he's not getting any further with it.
His best friend Bhaskar insist him to see a psychologist named Samaira for his mental health. During the counselling sessions Aamir and Samaira forms a nice bond and starts spending a lot of time together which makes Samaira fall in love with Aamir.
Will Aamir ever find Shikha??? Or will he give up his search and will settle down with Samaira??
I loved every character. The Author has presented every character very nicely. I wish we could have seen more of Samaira.
It's a beautiful story. We can see how religion, Caste and Riots can destroy many lives and how it affects the people.
There were some editing mistakes we could have been easily improved.
I felt like the ending was quite rushed. It could have been avoided by adding only one more chapter.
I recommend this book to everyone who likes to read light and quick romance novels.
'I'll wait for you till eternity'- The title is so heart touching and hopeful! It's always great to read a love story that protrays love in its purest form. The book cover is also intriguing and I begun to love the book, right from the first chapter.
The story starts with Aamir, who lesuirely spends his time with his friends, was mesmerized by a soothing voice that came from the auditorium. Instead of going with his friends to play cricket, he moved towards the auditorium hearing the sweet voice in the intercollege competition. That was the starting point of their love story. He remembers everything that happened that day and now it comes as a long living dream to him. It's been three years since they are separated. Why are they separated? Will they meet again for the love to flourish? Will he wait for her till eternity?
I fell in love with the cute character sketches especially Aamir. This book also focuses on social issues and I really appreciate that! For romance novels addict like me, it is a good treat.
The writing style is simple and sure everyone, even begineers could understand it more effectively. The books like this, uplift the respect for the emotions called 'love'. Could be more descriptive, but the plot is too good and make this a great read.
Love stories? YES!!!! This book is much more than just a love story and it completely gave justice to my long search of a beautiful love story.
.
Aamir and Shikha fall in love in their college days but during that time falling love was just a trailer and the rest movie had to be decided by their family members. Right? Unfortunately they get seperated...
.
True love exists and this led to the protagonist to seek for his love. Everything changed but his love didn't. As the story was progressing I just couldn't wait for Shikha and Aamir to come back together but a new angle appears when the Samaira, Aamir's psychologist falls in love with him. Samaira didn't confess him and Aamir continues his search for his Shikha.
.
I absolutely loved the ending of the book which really made me delve inside it. Love is the most special feeling and the seperation is equally heart breaking. The description of the riots in the story is done very beautifully and i am sure you guys can't wait to read the book. Highly recommended.
I'll Wait For You Till The Eternity is a story of childhood romance that was set in Lucknow and eventually gets separated due to the religious riots. There are three main protagonists in the story namely Aamir, Shikha, and Samaira. The story revolves around Aamir who had lost the touch of his childhood love and moves to Delhi where he leads an emotionally depressed life. He meets a psychologist Samaira, who tries to get him out of the depression but she falls in love with him instead. Unable to let go of his love, he instead starts searching for his lost love everywhere and finally goes to Ladakh where he would find her again.
The plot is wonderfully narrated and the language and writing style is very simple and lucid. The story has very deep emotions between every character. The cover page is very beautifully illustrated and it relates well with the story. I would honestly give 4 out of 5 stars for this and the reason for the drop is mainly due to the lack of detail in the narrative which would have made it more splendid read. At an outset, it is a very lovely read and is highly recommended one for romance lovers.
I'll Wait For You Till The Eternity is the story of three strong protagonists : Aamir, Shikha and Samaira. Aamir who was separated from his girlfriend Shikha during the Lucknow riots now lives a very depressing life. Aamir goes see Samaira who is a psychologist. She tries to help him get over Shika and in her bid of doing that, falls in love with him (Which is morally wrong). Aamir stays adamant and goes to Ladakh in search for Shikha. . With perseverance, Aamir does manage to meet Shikha but things don't go as planned. There are lot of crazy twists and turns and Aamir's grit for one true love is unparalleled. I liked the narration of the book, and the characters were relatable and strongly built. The ending was splendid and the book turned out to be an overall package. Final Rating 4.1
Love can be found under incomprehensible circumstances and that is its beauty. Once found, it is the most beautiful feeling in the world. ‘I’ll Wait for You Till Eternity’ is set in one such situation that not only invokes fear but also makes us despondent. It is set during the Hindu Muslim riots in Lucknow, India. It is a tale of love, loss and hope.
This is a story of Aamir's eternal love for Shikha. Their romance started in college like most love stories. Aamir was smitten with Shikha's melodious voice and she was impressed with his pleasing personality.
As soon as love blossomed between these two young buds, problems started ensnaring them. To begin with, they belonged to different religions. Shikha was from a conservative hindu family, where marrying a muslim guy was out of question.
When her family finds out about the relationship, they were separated. One after the other misfortunate events take place, and Aamir ends up losing not only his father but even the love of his life, Shikha in violent communal riots.
Fast forward to three years and we see Aamir as a depressed, unhappy man, haunted by past memories. His college friend Bhaskar meets him and recommends therapy with his psychologist friend, Samaira.
Aamir reluctantly agrees to see her and soon we find Samaira getting attracted to him. Aamir, on the other hand kept looking for Shikha after her sudden disappearance.
Destiny favours him and he finds out that Shikha is alive, albeit as a Sadhvi who has shunned all her societal connections.
Will Aamir succeed in convincing Shikha about the eternity of his love? Will Samaira confess her feelings towards Aamir?? To know these answers, one should pick up this novel.
My views:
I liked the simple plotline and engrossing story. However, in order to maintain continuity between two chapters, the author frequently repeats a few lines or paragraphs, something that breaks the flow while reading. Apart from this, the novel is an interesting read.
I'll wait for you till eternity' is a love story of Amir and Shika set in the 90's, ruptured by the lucknow riots. . 🕯Soon with the disappearance of Shikha and the loss of his father Amir succumbs into a mental turmoil. . 🕯Realizing the urgency of his condition, Bhaskar, his friend recommend him to a psychologist , Samaira. . 🕯During the course of treatment, Samaira loses her ethical stance and falls for his patient who is still struggling with the absence of Shikha. . . 🕯This story invokes the reality of religious animosity and the aftereffects of a war.
I will wait for you till the eternity is a pure romantic genre fiction . Which is based on true love , value of promises and mental health. . 📚. In one side this fiction is tell us about a beautiful love story and in other side this tell us about the post affect of an riots and mental health issue in India. . 📚.Amire the protagonist of story a young talented man with lots of dreams .How his life is changed after a riots completely . How some nonsense like caste system makes someone life as hell. . 📚. Language of the story is quite smile . Plot is quite engaging . Pov changes are very good.Characters are seems real but no newness in story . If you are like to read romance then you can give a try in it.
"I 'll wait For You Till Eternity " by Rihan Kalyani is not a ordinary romance novel but is a story of eternal love , promise , hope , waiting for the one you love the most and most importantly not giving up.
“I will find her. It is not impossible. Love is like a river and lovers are like water. They find their ways to flow.”
This book narrates the story of Aamir and Shikha , yes you have read the names right , this is not just a love story , it is a story of struggles proving that love sees no religion or boundaries.
The story takes place in the mid 1990s after the Lucknow communal riots and has frequent flashbacks in form of Aamir's nightmares and chain of thoughts. Seeing him disturbed and depressed , his best friend Bhashkar Banerjee , adorably referred to as BB , suggests him to consult a psychologist,Samaira, who is also a friend of the latter.
As the story is narrated , we come to know that Aamir and Shikha were college sweethearts and were ready to get married but the Mandir Movement ended their dreams and destroyed their families. Aamir lost contact with Shikha but always believed in the strength of his love, rather their love. He searches for her everywhere but fails bit he doesn't give up .
Will he be able to find her ? You need to read the book to find out.
The language is simple and gives a clear picture about life in the last century. The characters are well written and the superstitions are well explained.
"Psychologists are not there just to treat mentally retard people. There are lot of other things. If you consult a psychologist that does not mean that you are mentally ill, you can consult them when you are going through a stressful situation. People in foreign countries consult them when they feel depressed or restless. Consulting a psychologist does not make you a mental patient.” - which is absolutely applicable in the present world too.
I really love the balance in the book. It has equal proportion of romance and mystery. It was a great read for me , finished it in one sitting. The title is also well justified .
If you are looking for a heart warming read , grab your copy now. . . Rating : 4.5⭐/5
I'll Wait For You Till The Eternity by Rihan Khalyani
Revolving around three characters namely Aamir,Samaira and Shikha this is the story of love and hope.Aamir is heart broken and wretched as he fails to find Shikha ,his long lost girlfriend. He is brought to Samaira the psychologist who helps him from anxiety.Despite this Aamir continues his search for Shikha whom he last met just before the communal riots in Lucknow.Later Samaira falls for Aamir while he keeps thinking the world of Shikha.
Will Aamir find his love? Or will Samaira take up the role?
----------------------------------------------------------------------- This story is set in the 90s and at that time falling in love with a person belonging to another religion and keeping up the bond forever is not as easy as you think.Eventhough there were events that could worsen their relationship they held it tight. True love and hope can dissolve all the darkness. The book was so fast paced.I liked the plot but the writing could have been more polished . The ending was as expected.
I WILL WAIT FOR YOU TILL THE ETERNITY by RIHAN KHALYANI. ❤a story of love and faith. ____________ Published by RED GRAB BOOKS, it is ONE INSPIRATIONAL READ. ____________ This story is based in the early 90's.
It shows how religion & caste play obstacles..
How lovers communicated w/out WA, Facebook & even cell phones..
It shows how ppl love to watch love stories on screen but not have one in their family.
A story abt true love, abt those who have dared to love w/out thinking abt caste or religion.
📌It has love, drama, riots, religion at play, loss of dear ones, a take on mental illness and a HEA.
It has got all the elements that makes for a good read.
16 chapters, it's a fairly quick read & capable of being gulped down in 1 single sitting. __________ The storyline:
AAMIR is the main lead with, her lady love SHIKHA as the female lead. Aamir's mother ARFA plays a pivotal role & his best friend BHASKAR Banerjee (BB) is an important supporting character.
The story begins with Aamir having a dream, reminiscing the time when he first fell in love with Shikha..i.e. 6 years back. They were separated due to riots 3 years ago.. where Aamir sadly lost his father, Moeen Shaikh also.. From that time onwards, he has tried persistently to locate Shikha but to no avail. He even tried to find contact details of her friend, Divya or any of her family members but was sadly disappointed. They were all untraceable. Aamir stays lost & depressed..when Bhaskar suggests he sees a psychologist. The story also talks abt our general inhibitions to see a psychologist. He had 2 younger bros & a sister to look after too.
He was still in the clutches of his past, still held back by his love for Shikha.
❣Will the psychologist be able to help Aamir? Will he move on or will he be able to locate Shikha? Even if he finds her, how would the story move forward?
🙂As much as I want to talk about the story further & the ending, which is superb & inspirational, I do not want to give any spoilers.
📌All I can say is, do not judge the entire community on the basis of riots or the mistakes done by a few.
The role of Arfa in the story is so inspiring & Aamir as a person & his true love, is so heart touching.
Also there's enough of stuff to bring in nostalgia, like the mention of the bajaj scooter.
The story ends..on a note..where it touches another element.. Sometimes we are able to help someone out from a slump but not ourselves. ___________ READ it to know what happens further.
The author is working on a short story, a Science Fiction read & also a Murder Mystery at present.
Book Title: I will wait for you till the eternity Author: Rihan Khalyani Format: Paper Back
Book Title: The title of the book ' I will wait for you till the eternity ' is soulful and emotional.
Book Cover : The book cover is also interesting as the title. It is colourful and attractive.
My Thoughts: Not every love story is a coochie-coo typed story, not every love story ends with a cake and a rose bouquet on valentine's day and not every love story is as mature. Somewhere in the middle of these categories, this story makes its place where little emotions are being portrayed beautifully.
The story has emotions of all kinds. The story makes the book more sweet and beautiful with the addition of some really wonderful life-loving moments. There are some incidents in the story, where the tough decisions and moments of life which really cost a lot of mental pressure are nicely written.
Characters: Along with the central characters of Amir and Shikha, the story has other characters through whom the author has woven a beautiful story of love! Every character allures the reader with their nature and attitude. An attractive trait in the story is that the places and the incidents mentioned also take up the space of a character and thus become responsible for the unexpected turns in the lives of the characters. For example, the city of Lucknow before the mishap that separates Amir and Shikha plays an important role, as the author describes the metamorphosis of the city after 3 years. This sets up a mood in the reader's mind.
Narration: An engaging narration with a perfect combination of love, friendship, angst, tolerance, awareness, and cultural elements is found. The story seems running around the male protagonist, Amir and through whom the rest of the story is redirected. The part of the story which deals with the religious aspects and its role in one's life for good or bad is written very well. Though a known story of two individuals from different religions seeking to have a life together, here, the author has written the story with much more honesty and real emotions. All these things make the story more pleasing.
Language and Vocabulary: The language, grammar and vocabulary are worth mentioning with applause. The story is written in a suitable language for readers of all ages and hence.
My Verdict— A worth reading new age love story!
Book title: 3/5 Book Cover: 4/5 Plot: 3/5 Characters: 4/5 Narration: 3/5 Language and Vocabulary: 4/5
"Love is like a river and lovers are like water. They find their ways to flow.”
In the beginning the story seemed very sweet. A tale of love between two people who belong to different religions. And as we all are aware religion is something that matters a lot in India. As a citizen of a diverse country in nature we all have faced our shares of discrimination. The Author takes this issue to another level. He has given a love angle to it.
The author has talked about the lives of the couple. How they met and how they fell in love with each other. And how they got unexpectedly separated when the Lucknow riots happened. And how Amir is still in search of Shikha even after three years of separation. Amir doesn't know where shikha is and he will wait for her until eternity.
The book was a very short read. Hence you can read it quickly. There were many aspects to the story. The author narrated events precisely. The language of the book is lucid. And the story had a strong grip on me. But after a 100 pages I felt it to laden with some misinformation.
Amir starts taking therapy when his friend insists on him. And while he is in therapy the doctor starts to feel attracted towards Amir, and eventually falls in love with him. And she makes up her mind to ask him out. Which is so ethically wrong! And I really wish that the Author had done his research properly.
The next point was when Shikha bared her soul to Amir, and told him about everything that happened to her during the riots. The female characters of this book were portrayed like the typical characters we see in Bollywood films. There was no empowerment in there, you know? The female character was shown ashamed of being sexually abused. Which I totally understand. But she was also portrayed as an powerless human being. There was not a great closure at the end of the books.
Yes the author made it clear how we are separated by the religion and the caste discrimination but at some point there should've been a message that I waited for to read, but to know avail. The romantic storyline was good, but it was weak for me. There was nothing unique in the story. The book lacked research and a strong background. I would like to encourage the author to make more improvements in his next books which I'll delightfully read!

🎭The author Rihan Khalyani is an electrical engineer and an entrepreneur.
🎭He is a fiction writer by choice.
🎭Rihan had a great flare for writing since his early age.
🎭Besides this book he is working on two other novels, one is a science fiction and the other one is a murder mystery.
🎭REVIEW
🎭'I'll wait for you till the eternity' by Rihan Khalyani is the story of Aamir and Shikha.
🎭Although, there is a third character named Samaira , I don't find her much important in the story.
🎭Aamir met Shikha in their college.
🎭They both fell for each other and decided to spend the rest of their lives together.
🎭But little did they knew that destiny had its own plans.
🎭Everything was going well until riots between Hindus and Muslims started .
🎭Those riots proved to be extremely catastrophic for both the communities.
🎭Shikha and Aamir lost touch with each other.
🎭Aamir even lost his father to the hands of the rioters.
🎭 3 YEARS LATER
🎭The loss of his father and Shikha paved Aamir's way to depression.
🎭After all, Aamir lost two most important people of his life!!!!!
🎭Aamir knew that his father cannot return but he tried every possible way to find Shikha . 🎭Nevertheless , he failed!!!! 🎭Will Aamir be able to find Shikha???? 🎭Is Shikha even alive or fell in the hands of the rioters??? 🎭If yes, then where is she?? Why didn't she tried to find Aamir?? 🎭Rea to find out!!! 🎭The language of the book is easy. 🎭My most favourite thing in the book was the way the author went into the past and came back to the present which made the narration interesting and intriguing. 🎭The cover of the book is attractive and the title is catchy. 🎭The book's pace is neither fast nor slow, just perfect. The characters are build nicely specially the protagonist. Looking for more books from the author. #kb_ki_family https://www.instagram.com/p/CGr-w2pnA...

It was love at first sight for him after hearing a classical bhajan which was sung by a first year computer engineering girl called Shikha. He tries to befriend her before proposing. Those were his happy days before getting separated from her because of a riots which happened in Lucknow and his father was brutally killed in that. This book is about a couple who separated from each other due to social evils. The protagonist here are Aamir and Shikha. The story is set in early 90s when India was swinging between a modern India and a conservative India. People used to like love stories in cinemas but not in their family. And if it is inter-religion then you are definitely going to pass through hell. The novel shows how the religion and caste becomes hurdles and how liberalism helps in spreading love in every circumstance. This book must be read by those who dared to love irrespective of social evils.
My Review - Aamir and Shikha first met in college when Aamir was mesmerised my the soothing voice of Shikha chanting a pleasant Bhajan in a singing competition in their college. They both started to like each other but the destiny had some rough plans, they got separated due to Lucknow Riots between Hindus and Muslims. Their family members were being killed by opposite religion's members (rioters). Shikha got through hell, as she had to face some monstrous actions for being a girl.

Note:- Cover is indeed very beautiful and title too. Few topics like politics and inter-religion marriage are touched by the author. The story is beautiful.
Rate- 3/5 *********** 'I'll Wait For You Till Eternity' is a contemporary romance plot that centres love story between Aamir and Sikha. Aamir first saw Sikha in a singing competition and couldn't help but fall for her at first sight. Her beautiful voice mesmerised him, grabbing his attention for ever. Even though their love for each other was boundless yet destiny planned to separate them cruelly. It's been three years since Sikha went missing. However hard Aamir and his friend tried they couldn't track any information of her. Will Aamir ever be able to meet her again? You will have to read this book to find out the answers. . Though the love story was not very unique but the author did a good job by including various important elements in the story such as, the cruel reality of riots and how they change someone's life, religion violence, importance of mental hygiene, prejudices for a psychologist, political goons and many such. Though the mention of all these issues were minor, but they all played a major role in moving the story forward. . When I saw the title of this book I really felt excited to read it, but my excitement fell flat as I didn't enjoy the plot and the characters much. Aamir was more like an impulsive lover and had a less amount of maturity while taking any decisions resulting in troubling himself and also his friend. One relationship that I really liked in this book was Bhaskar and Aamir's friendship. Their bonding was really strong and both were equally troublemakers. . This book had some mysteries in it which you will discover while going through the story. The plot moves back and forth from Aamir and Sikha's past to the present Aamir's state. Even though there were some grammatical mistakes overall reading this book was easy. The most attractive part of this book is the cover which is sure to grab anyone's attention.
A story of three protagonists, and few additional characters, this is a story of childhood romance, and separation due to religious riots. Aamir fell in love with Shikha during his college years, and they had a period of whirlwind romance, before they were forced to be separated due to unavoidable religious sentiments, specifically the Lucknow riots. Aamir has been in severe depression since then and is adamant on finding the love of his life and reunite with her, three years after they got separated. His friend, BB, advises him to take up counselling to help him eventually move on, and connects with him to the psychologist Samaira, who eventually ends up falling for him.
The story follows parallel timelines and is narrated from Aamir's perspective. The characters had a decent storyline, but there were few things I found quite problematic. Stalking was considered acceptable, and might I say romantic, in the name of love. The male characters gave off the vibe of quintessential problematic men. The author tried to focus on issues like communal riots, and the depiction of mental depression issues as a valid health issue that require care, but I felt it got lost amidst the story.
The writing style of the author is very detached and robotic, and I could not connect with any of these characters. It took me quite an effort to complete this book, even though it was a pretty short one. It also had many grammatical and vocabulary mistakes, that were off putting in the story. Many Hindi idioms had been translated word to word in English, and they just didn't make sense. The author should have instead resorting to using existing English idioms that may fit the situation, or refrained at all.
A good attempt at a story, but a poor one at writing.
I'll wait for you till the eternity by Rihan khalyani as the title says it's a love story of a young muslim boy Aamir and Shikka who comes from an orthodox Hindu family. Aamir falls in love with Shikha during the singing competition which was held in their college. Aamir was mesmerized by her soothing voice. Soon they became friends and even more closer and started planning to live together. But destiny plays a cruel role soon they got separated due to the horrific riots which took place in Lucknow. During the riots Aamir lost his father and after that he and his family shifted to Delhi. Even after 3 years of incident and separation Aamir couldn't forget Shikha and he goes into stage of depression and had no idea where his true love is. His best friend Bhaskar recommended him to consult a psychologist, Samaira who eventually falls for him during the counselling sessions. But Aamir is still in love with Shikha and continues to search for her without giving up. Will he able to find her? or Will he accept Samaira's love? Just to find the ending you have to read the book. Everyone has some obstacles in their life but it's how they over come and live the life as they want. You may have more hardships coming in your path you have to ignore it and keep going through the flow. Life makes you beautiful. I enjoyed reading this book. The characters could have been portrayed well and discussed more than the main character. For me it's the book cover that's very eye catching and apt for the title. After a long time I have read this book and finished in two sittings. Over all it's a good read and will recommend you to read.
