This book is part of the Holiday Springs Resort Series and is a real second chance romance read.

Brittany and Ty were young lovers and ended up going there separate ways. What they didn't bank on was to run into each other years later at the resort.
But they have now grew up and have been through different circumstances that seems to have brought them both back into each others lives. . They have feelings for each other that are now deep down because they used to have something when they were younger only Ty broke her heart into a million pieces and now he has a real job on his hands trying to get this beautiful lady back.

These books in this series all have there own set of characters and all bring a new story to the collection. This resort is somewhere we would all love to go to. These characters both had a lot to work through and all the love they have they both still had fears that they had to work through and Brittany really did make him work for it which in liked. Some parts of the story were a little predictable and I didn't really feel like I could fully connect to the characters for some reason but this romance read is still enjoyable. This is a sweet second chance romance read and is a good addition into this series.

Brittany fell in love with Tyler when they were teenagers and she planned their future together until he left her heartbroken when he decided to end their relationship before leaving to pursue his dream of competing in the Olympics.

Four years later Tyler has endured a career ending injury and Brittany has returned to town when she realized that her singing career wasn’t all glitter and gold. Now that their lives have collided once again will this be their second chance or are they destined to end in heartbreak once again?

I enjoyed how both characters have matured since they were together as Tyler realizes that the only thing that truly matters is Brittany and is determined to not make the same mistake twice while Brittany still has feelings for him she isn’t about to just forgive and forget.

I enjoyed this book. I thought there was a really strong thread of honesty and realism in Brittany and Tyson's story. I think many readers will be able to relate to the choices these two made between love and life choices. This is something I think most of us face at one point or another in our lives, so yeah, I found it easy to feel a connection to these two. I thought it was very sweet and quite moving to bear witness as this pair had to work through old hurts, baggage and trust issues. If I'm honest, I did have a few pet peeves with this book. There were a few things that didn't make sense but for the most part I felt this was a very good, plenty of feels read. This is my independent, impartial review.

Im really loving this resort!! Reading from authors who are new to me is my special and boy did I fall in love with this authors words quickly!!

Brittany is a talented young woman who decides to come home after living in L.A.... and while I wasn’t sure I would like her poor me attitude, I did fall in love with her choice of profession! Some parts were corny but I think this book excelled with corny! Tyson had me scared because I was quite upset with him throughout the book and wasn’t sure how he was going to be at the end. Some moments took a turn for the worse and some went amazingly well but all in all it was their passion for their choice of careers that excited me.

So many decisions in the past affects what happens in the future and many times that’s not a good sign. I was left hanging by a thread so many moments hoping for forever and wishing for more and each chapter delivered everything! I honestly felt the snow and breeze with each breath. I really loved this story and always wish for second chances!!

I read this in just one sitting. I enjoyed this second chance between Brittany and Tyson.

Tyson broke her heart in order to pursue his dream. So Brittany also left to pursue her dream and forget about Tyson. 4 years later, Tyson's back working at the resort because of an injury that caused the downfall of his dream. At the same time, Brittany's also back because she couldn't reach her dream. They're back at the same place, this just might be fate telling Tyson that he could get his love back.

This is a pretty good read for me.

Second Start is book five in the Holiday Springs Resort series. It's among my favorites from the series. I am a sucker for second chance romances. I thoughts Britany and Tyson were so cute together. I loved how Tyson was all in when it came to trying again. It's a quick enjoyable romance with a sweet ending. I highly recommend it.

Brittany and Ty definitely had to work to find their happy. And honesty, Ty needed to work hard to win Brittany back. After breaking her heart because his ego was more important than their young love, he had so much more than a simply apology ahead of him once he laid eyes on her again four or so years later. I especially liked how Brittany didn’t just fall back into a relationship because the guy she always loved wanted a second chance. So these two had to work through their fears to get to their hopes and had to learn that mature love isn’t quite so fickle. Okay, so Ty had to learn that lesson mores than Brittany did, but it all worked out once he finally let his head catch up to his heart.

This story gave me a nice break on a very long day and left me feeling glad that Brittany was as strong as she was because so many women are written as falling back into the arms of their lost love. It was refreshing to be in the head of a woman who knew she wouldn’t be happy just picking up an old habit. She needed to see change and maturity, and Ty definitely delivered both when given the chance.

I received a copy of this book from the author.

I have read other romances from this author and had quite enjoyed them so my expectations for this novel were high.

Sadly, this book did not reach her usual quality.
The story is nothing I haven't already read before. The writing felt clumsy and too juvenile for my taste. I think it prevented me from really connecting with the characters.
I usually enjoy a second chance romance but I was disappointed that these two didn't really fall back in love. All it took was enough exposure to each other for them to actually start talking and they were back together.
I was expecting to see a lot more resistance because of Brit's hurt and anger from how Ty treated her but didn't really get that.

I think this book could have benefited from a bit more editing.

Ty and Brittany were childhood sweethearts, but he broke her heart when he followed his Olympic dream. Brittany then left the Poconos to start a career as a singer and songwriter, only to return years later with her tail between her legs.

What neither of them expect is to run into each other at The Holiday Springs Resort where Ty is now working as a ski instructor and Brittany is staying for a few weeks. The feelings are still there between them but her trust has long gone. Can Ty find a way to win her back or did he do too much damage when he walked away.

A good read with heartbreak, love and forgiveness thrown in.

Second Start is another enjoyable story in the Holiday Springs Resort series. While I'm not typically a huge fan of second chances, I loved watching Tyson and Brittany reconnect after so many years. Tyson broke it off with his childhood sweetheart to pursue his Olympic dream. Brittany, heart-broken, left to pursue her dreams as well. A few years later they come face to face again at the Holiday Springs Resort. I enjoyed watching their journey unfold. Great addition to the series.

4,5 Stars for Second Start ( Holiday Springs Resort #5)
I’m loving this series from the Holiday Springs Resort, I love finding new authors and I lobe that each story is Connie by this magical resort. This is Brittany Evans and Tyson Mitchell’s story, it’s book 5 but it can certainly be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone.
Brittany and Tyson were the couple voted best likely to succeed and best likely to stay together, they were childhood sweethearts and had their life planned together until their dreams and goals got in the way. But a skiing injury and a failed singing career has this couple back in Holiday Springs and it’s time for the magic to start working.....
Fate seems deto bring this couple back together and Tyson is determined to win the love of his life back so will this couple get a second start or will the past be too much to forgive.....
This is a sweet, entertaining, second chance romance that will appeal to lots of romance lovers in fact this series should be on every romance reads TBR list and with that being said I urge you all to one click this gem of a read.

New adult with contemporary feels, second chance, with a slow burn. Part of the Holiday Springs Resort series, a ski resort set in the Pocono Mountains in PA, with small town feels of everyone knowing everyone. This book also takes place in the same universe as the author's Chronicles of a Rocking' Mess book, with some character crossover. Fate has brought Tyson and Brittany back to where they grew up. Both characters have returned to the Pocono's after their plans didn't go the way they expected. As a 40 year old woman, I do not read a lot of new adult. I'm not a super fan of the melodramatic angst thing that tends to happen in second chance new adult books. Britt does focus a lot on her broken heart, and the hero and heroine seem to have the same conversation a couple times too many about Ty breaking her heart when then were teenagers and how she can't go through that again. It's typical young adult romance, and while that's not my typical jam, it's still a sweet story with a beautiful HEA.

I'm a fan of the Holiday Springs Resort series, and to be honest, I wish I could actually take a break from life there. Brittany & Tyson were high school sweethearts until life took them in different directions & he broke her heart. Now, I know that teenage love usually isn't one of those things that doesn't quite make it anymore, but I really didn't like how Ty did it. Now some time later, they both find themselves home again after dreams didn't quite pan out, and Brittany wasn't down with forgiving him right away so she did try to put him through the paces (I would have gone way longer LOL). I'm  one of those girls who does enjoy reading about this age, however, these two still acted like young teenagers which had me ready to scream at them throughout but that's just me. I believe that 2020 has been one hell of a bad year which changed my opinions on romance quite a bit so I guess I'm saying it's not you, it's me. So I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you decide for yourselves because different strokes for different folks, and Ms. Rose does have an addictive writing style.

A young couple breaks up to follow their dreams. Many years later they come back together after the dreams did not work as they expected. When Brittany and Tyson meet back up at the Holiday Springs Resort the attraction is obvious but there are hurt feelings. I enjoyed seeing how Brittany protected her heart while not being able to stay away from Tyson. I loved how Tyson would not give up and went above and beyond to show Brittany that she could trust him again.

Second Start is a sweet, loving, and sexy story. The characters are fun, the story is easy to read, and the setting is beautiful. The secondary characters add fun and are realistic as friends to Tyson and Brittany. Brittany’s dad is supportive but protective.

The Holiday Spring Series are all standalone books. The location is the common thread.

I really like this romantic series and I especially liked Second Start. It was a different way of looking at a second chance and it was perfect for Ty and Brittany who had grown up since their breakup four years ago.

I also liked the other supporting characters in this story and the beautiful Holiday Spring Resort. It was so nice to find Ty and Brittany able to overcome their past and see their careers and lives take off in a new direction. I also liked this line "...our second start is our first forever." I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Second Start is beyond amazing. You will just love childhood sweethearts Brittany and Tyson. Ty has had his ups and downs with his dreams and the only regret is walking away from Brittany. Brittany has her own dreams and needs a break. There is still such chemistry after all the years that past between Tyson and Brittany. I love how Ty lifts Brittany up when it is her turn to chase her dream. This is such a sweet read with a second chance that you need to read. They will steal your heart and leave you with a smile on your face. You must read this one.

I started this book yesterday evening and and finished it this evening. It was so good and I couldn’t put it down. I love Ty and Brit’s story. At first it broke my heart for both of them, but when you are truly soul mates, love has no bounds. They had a chemistry that couldn’t be taken for granted or forgotten. When they both left before they left with unfinished business and after some persuasion on Ty’s part, he was able to get back in Brit’s heart that she was fighting. 2 stubborn teenagers grow up to realize that their love was a lifetime

I didn’t really connect with this author’s writing nor the story between Brittany and Tyson. With such worldly pursuits of an Olympic and songwriting careers, they’re both still hung up on high school? Young love does tend to stay with you but some of the conversations were repetitive about their past and there did not seem to be much magic to rekindle their relationship.
It wasn’t a bad read but this was not a book that I would choose again.
Received a free copy via Bookfunnel and am reviewing at my own discretion.

Brittany is a talented young woman who decides to come home after living in L.A. Tyson went onto to pursue his Olympic skiing dreams after they graduated high school and he also decides to return home. Tyson and Brittany meet up again and discover that there feelings for each other never really went away. This book is full of laughs, some twist and turns, and getting a second chance at love with the one that got away. This series keeps getting better and better with each book that is added.

I found this second chance romance refreshing. Not only were Brittany and Tyson given a second chance at love but also a second chance at life as a whole. Although Ty broke Brittany’s heart when they were teens they both took that time to pursue their dreams while also gaining life experience and maturing and that seemed to benefit them once reunited. I didn’t feel like they had off the charts chemistry that most romance books have, instead they had the love that was gained through friendship and a shared past which makes my heart all gooey.

This was a good addition to this series. Brittany and Tyson were highschool sweethearts until life got in the way. Tyson was an olympic hopeful and Brittany wanted to be a music star. When their plans don't go exactly how they expected, both return home to figure out what comes next. This is their second chance for life and each other. I really enjoyed reading their journey to happiness.

Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done

This book was a 3.5⭐️ read.
I enjoyed this book.
It was a sweet moving read about love and life’s choices.
Brittany and Tyson got their second chance but had a lot of baggage to sort through.
They had to overcome trust issues and old hurts to finally get their HEA.
I thought that it was very relatable, I understood the choices that they made.
There were a few things I wish had been not a simply fixed but overall a very enjoyable read.
I was given an ARC but voluntarily chose to review

This resort makes me want to learn how to ski and pray to meet the "right one" there. Tyson and Brittany had high dreams for their future but one right they'd hold the other back without discussion and made a painful decision. However, fate not brought them back together but taught them attainable dreams and more.

I received an advance copy of this book for my HONEST review and I honestly can't wait for the next book.

S.E. Rose's Second Start is a Holiday Springs Resort Novel with a sweet second chance lovestory.  Brittany and Tyson are great characters and I enjoyed their journey.  Past hurts, healing, discoveries, communication.... these two characters let love go once for the pursuit of their dreams and when given a chance to see what could be, I fell in love right along with them.

Broken hearts, battered dreams and maybe a chance to finally get it right. Tyson and Brittany had an unfinished love. He broke her heart for a dream that ended far too soon. She lost her way before she could heal her heart. Second Start brings heartache full circle. Rose puts the sexy into sentimental with a temptation of an emotional read.

I love second chance romances and Tyson and Brittany get theirs in this story when they return home. I love that Tyson realizes she is more important and their feelings are still there. It's tough at times since they have to get through the hurt and what happened when they were young in order to move forward. But they have both matured and I enjoyed reading their journey.

This was a sweet second chance story. It was second chances all around. Lovers, relationships, careers. The Poconos seem like a sweet backdrop to live your best life and forget all your troubles. It was a great setting for Brittany and Ty to escape their troubles and get to know each other again.
