When Rimuru Evolves from an outsider view.

As seen during the aftermath of one of the biggest tragedies the monster nation of Tempest has ever experienced (at least as far as I have seen in the series) but being seen from a point of view other than the main cast is the privilege of offshoots series such as this one. Certainly up to the Falmuth attack there has been little to tie this story to the main manga series time wise short of the three main characters of this series showing up to not just live in this nation of monsters but to spy on the for their respective Demon Lords so getting a chance to see things from a different perspective is a nice change (even an outsider experiencing Tempest and not connected to Rimuru's power.) With this volume taking us to a point when Rimuru takes the grisly steps to become a Demon Lord himself to save his people it is nice to see the story up close inside the barrier even as events outside of the attack will lead the trio of this story to take on new journeys and chances for personal growth.

Seeing this arc from a different perspective was really good! I'm now curious about how this spin off will continue!!

Noting as a placeholder when I read this, even if I don't remember enough to properly give a review.

Well, beyond that it was clearly when I stopped reading, because it just felt so shoehorned into the main series that it felt awkward when the main series didn't acknowledge it. Yes, I know that's how spin-offs work, but I mean that it literally tried to squeeze the new characters into ongoing events of the main series, rather than—say—chronicling quieter times during unspecified breaks between major events the main series.

Which is weird! It feels like trying to photobomb somebody. I don't know. Anyway, at this point I only have the vaguest memory that the main character (...Trinity?) ended up being a delivery person, but don't quote me on that. Need a motive to hunt the book down again as per my goal to review every book I've ever read (within some amount of reason).

This volume is based on a serious main story plot point that starts in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Vol. 12. USE CAUTION: MAJOR SPOILERS

In the aftermath of the Falmuth attack, Phos, Stella, and Nemu do what they can for the grieving Tempest. Stella and Nemu are also worried about what's happening with their own lands so they're primed to leave as soon as they can get through Mjurran's barrier. But all that is part of the main story line so I'll shut up.

The story is good. Art style is good too. It has potential, so I hope development will be good. I will be waiting for second volume.
