The right playlist will get you through anything. That’s what I knew for sure, but not every life event was easy to create a soundtrack for.
Meeting Jordan, JJ to his friends, easy playlist. Falling for him, easy playlist. Maintaining my status as a talented and temperamental force to be reckoned with, easy playlist. Getting sexually assaulted by guys I didn’t know, not such an easy playlist. Processing, or rather attempting to avoid processing this information, not an easy playlist. Breaking up with my boyfriend, Jordan, and taking things out on my family, requires the universe to handle the lineup of my shuffle.
Finding my way back to Jordan on the other side of this event that happened to me, one of the more challenging playlists I had to manage, but I did find a way. I did manage.
I’m a fighter and I got knocked out, literally and figuratively. Coming back from that was not easy, but it was necessary. I wasn’t going to let what happened to me define me for the rest of my life. I just had to accept that it happened before I could move forward again.

An excellent and emotional experience of teenagers who experience too much at a young age, finding love and support with friends and family.
