There wasn't much of a story to this campaign, which is really a shame. It's a cool overall idea, and I'm sure you could make a good campaign out of it, but there's so little details that the GM would be doing all the heavy lifting.

Even the content that's there doesn't really make much sense together, to the point that if you used dungeons/battles/concepts as written, you'd have to alter them and fill in a ton of backstory in order to have anything cohesive. And there are very few concepts that really spark the imagination, so even using it as a repository of dungeons, encounters, and enemies doesn't give you much to work with.

To be fair, my expectations were very high from Eyes of the Stone Thief, which is a stellar campaign that's twice as long and contains cool concepts, encounters, and enemies on almost every page. I realize not every game book is going to be GREAT, but I'd like them to be at least half-baked by the time I start working with them.
